Today we went into the shop and honestly did not have a good experience. A lady greeted us in the…read moreparking lot which was fine but then it seemed as though she didn't want to let us out of her sight. We went inside the building and she came in behind us. Automatically the woman behind the counter was just staring at us and would not take her eyes off of us and I'm pretty sure we caught several dirty looks. We started to make our way into the place and she said "are you looking for anything in particular?" And I said "no not really." Then I saw the woman who followed us in look at the lady behind the counter and The lady behind the counter said something to her and she nodded and they both began to follow us around the entire place. They pretended like they were working and were just turning things around here and there. They never took their eyes off of us. Then when we went to the other side, one of them followed us to the other side and followed us around the other side as well. There were some people who arrived about the same time and they were allowed to wander around the other side all alone. Whenever we found something we wanted to buy she took it and carried it back over to the other side and when we got back over to the other side, we saw that the other people who had showed up around the same time were free to peruse the entire store unaccompanied. The woman behind the counter (Tamra) just stared at us again and when we finally walked up to finish checking out she just said "is this it?" Then after checking us out just said "here you go." No thank you or have a good day or anything. I sent a private message to the business page and an hour after it had been viewed Tamra decided to get on her private Facebook page and go to my Facebook page and comment on my post regarding the incident. She made excuses and was extremely unprofessional and said she didn't have to explain shit and called me a punk. This is insanely rude and unprofessional. We were treated like criminals for no reason, got a half hearted bill crap apology and were given no explanation.

We hit up the candy store first which had a great selection including fudge, delicious pecan turtles & even pickle flavored soda, which we tried and amazingly was good although different. They also had a very nice clean bathroom. We then walked over to the gift store and normally I'm not one to love gift shops but this shop was so well laid out that it was easy to shop and man was it fun. I literally found something for 6 different people in my life...my sister, my mom, a few friends. They have something for everyone! I found myself laughing out loud when reading signs, socks, kitchen towels and more. We spent about an hour here and I could've spent much more time but again, this was just supposed to be a quick stop. I can't wait to come back!

The three shops/sheds are terminally cute & quaint and the owner, Ann, could not have been nicer. She even dug up a black iris plant from her garden and gave it to us, bulb, dirt, and flower bc we had never seen one that color. The sheds are super well organized w small furniture, antiques, dishes, and primitives and beautifully displayed inside & out. There's also a garage full of larger pieces and more primitives, all very reasonably priced. We purchased some wooden surveyors tripods and a couple of smalls. We were fortunate enough to meet her daughter & grandchildren who walked us to the pond to feed the fish and show us how to skip stones. This place is beautiful and a reflection of how hospitable this part of the country can be. I've never been to heaven, but I hope that when I get there, there's someone just like Ann to great me and open the gates to a place just like this.

He has several pieces of unique furniture that has been beautifully restored. However his prices are seriously outrageous and some of the photos I had seen were over a year old and the items were still there. He doesn't seem like much of a negotiator and that might be why so many of his items don't sell. I can't recommend this antique store if you are looking for a bargain (or a fair price) but if money is no object you will find some very beautiful and unique pieces. Just expect to pay more than they are actually worth.
