Bear Wallow Antiques is a fun spot to poke around. Tons of knick knacks and collectibles--definitely a lot to take in. Not much clothing, but plenty of other things to catch your eye. It seems like multiple vendors sell here, so it's organized by booth, which gives it a bit of a mix-and-match feel. Everything felt clean and relatively organized. Staff was friendly and the overall vibe was welcoming. We didn't end up buying anything this time, but still enjoyed looking around. Didn't get a chance to check out the front section (left of the register), but it looked like there's more to explore. Worth a stop if you're in the area and like treasure hunting. read more

Love this place!! There's a lot more to the place than what you might first think. Tons of antiques and collectibles.

The place has loads of fun finds. But the woman at the counter was quite rude. I brought up two bottles and asked if I could get a deal if I bought both. Big mistake! Wow, you'd think I asked for her first born or something. I asked in a sort of happy kidding way. The tags were incorrect, one blue one the tag said green and vise versa. But she blew up again! I almost left, but I really wanted the blue bottle, so I bought just that. Not sure if I will return or not. Just beware not to ask for any reductions. read more

My family and I decided to stop by and take a look for decorations. We walked the whole store that was very crowded and hard to navigate. Which is fine. There is a lot there. I asked to use the bathroom. The lady behind the register told me straight back. I had no idea what that meant in the maze of stuff. I pointed in the direction I thought would be straight back and the older woman there said in a nasty tone "are you a white guy?". I was obviously shocked and did not know what to say. Then she continued "no seriously" the women showed me more specifically what that meant and I did my business. On my why out I thanked them and as the door behind me closed I heard the older women shout "see what I mean!" Extremely racist. As you can see in other reviews very poor customer. Maybe finding the bathroom would be easier if you actually sold stuff so there wasn't so much in the way. Or maybe I don't know... a sign? read more

My family and I walked in and my 10 year old son was holding my wallet and phone in his Pokémon backpack- he was the only one. the owner immediately asked if he was going to throw a fit when she makes him take that off, which the answer was ofcourse not. she proceeds to say "oh well I'll just watch you all closely on the cameras". insinuating we were going to steal. We were polite, smiled, and decided to leave. She then asked "what you need a bathroom or what?". we politely declined and spent our money at the antique shop next door. We are Proud Hispanic and Native American people and do not appreciate disrespectful assumptions and judgments. The children were confused as to why she would "watch us", and we had a conversation about ignorance. read more

Every time I've been here the employees have been rude. They have some cute stuff and it is fun to walk through but you are always scared of being yelled at by staff. I will not be returning. Not worth it. read more

Service was terrible the owner humiliated & harass, my father. The first time we were ever there the owner told her worker my dad was not allowed in . My dad is a 93 year Korean veteran that is healing from a broken hip this worker she sent to block my dad used no words almost caused my dad to lose his balance & fall. I think this is a terrible practice to not check to make sure you're blocking the correct person. You don't do this to elders as a business causing elder to almost fall is dangerous! Turned out she said my dad looked like someone else never apologize to my dad . After embarrassing him shame on that business poor business practices! read more

There was a man that greeted us as we got out of our car. He told us that if we were serious buyers he would open the store for us. We went during store hours! He then told us if anything got broken he would take our vehicles from us. Not sure if he was the owner or not but we didn't stay around long enough to ask. read more

Love this antique store. Our first trip the employee, who turned out yo be a relative of the owner was so nice. The second trip we were helped by the owner and we had a lovely chat with her about the stores history. This sore is way bigger then it looks like from the outside and set up well. My fiancé and I were in town for the holidays and went to several "antique stores" before ending up in Bear Wallow. I have to say this store, which has been open only a month and is already in the process of expanding into the next suite, is the best we found. Their selection is better than any other store we visited, and the prices we paid were pretty reasonable. We purchased a hutch and didn't have the means of getting it back to my parents' that day, so they held it for us and when we arrived the next day to pick it up it was sitting next to the back door, ready to go! The owners, Larry and Ruthie, are very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back on our next visit! If you're in the market for antiques and unique items, I'd recommend making Bear Wallow your first stop. read more

On a recent visit to the Lakeside, Show Low area of the White Mountains in Northern AZ we visited a rcently opened Antique Mall, The Bear Wallow. The owners Ruthie and Larry were very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to find those items you remember your mother and grandmother used in their kitchens like Pyrex ,Grey Granite,Depression Glass, vintage Cookbooks and to replace those broken or missing pieces. I found some family recipes I thought had been lost in Church Cookbook I also found some grey grey granite collectbles read more
