I sent a request a quote message and ended up chatting with John, the owner, the same day. He stopped by to see my project, sent me a quote, and within days he and his crew were at my house! We needed our front railing, front door, and roof deck railings to be sanded down and re-painted. Our house is only four years old but, as we've discovered, new construction doesn't always equal the best quality. John and his crew showed up bright and early around 8:30am, and worked tirelessly in the sun until the project was finished around 4pm. John explained the differences in the types of paint he needed to use for the railings and door. Everyone in the crew was friendly and careful about their work space - by the time they left, you wouldn't have known they were even here, aside from their gorgeous handiwork! My husband and I think the railings and door look even better now than they did when we bought our house. My only regret? Not taking before and after photos! Never took out any of the knobs, handles, or other fixtures before painting and instead painted around it so all that lazy and sloppy paint job is visible like an eye sore. Planning to get all that paint stripped off now. I am actually doing them a favor by not posting pictures of their paint job. After spending thousands of dollars we are left with streaky walls, pealing paint, and missed spots/trims. Our brand new hardwood floor has specs of paint all over due to lack of care due to painting. I would NOT recommend Manati Painting. Pros: -Very responsive and punctual prior to contract signing. -From the our initial discussion i received prompt responsive and it appeared they were eager and willing to get the work done within the agreed upon time frame. Cons: -The owner might be a professional painter but based on the conversations of the employees (they assumed I did not understand Spanish) this was a side job for them. -The start day was delayed due to other projects being extended. I understand these things happen, however, we should have been notified in advance. I had to call Manati Painting to inquire when they would arrive to find out they wouldn't be coming. To any working individual this is an extreme lack of consideration. - I specifically asked the owner how many individuals would be onsite prior to signing the contract. I was advised 3, however, most days I had 2 individuals and you could tell they were not paint professionals. - Due to the number of people working and their lack of painting experience, the job went over in time. - we had to be on top of the painters for missed trims, missed walls, spilled paint, etc. - even the things /items we pointed out were not addressed. -we paid a hefty price (thousand of dollars) to later find out the lowest quality Sherman Williams paint was used. This led us to leave our home and stay at a hotel due to the fumes. Additional unforeseen cost. STAY AWAY! I hope no one throws away their hard earned money like we did using this company. We could have done a much better job ourselves.
