I went in the store to "test drive" some guitars. It just so happened to be my birthday. I had a…read morepocket full of money and intentions to buy a Martin guitar, kinda like a birthday present for myself. I knew they were a Martin dealer from what I had read. I'm not from Evansville. We were visiting from Kentucky. I already own some Martins, but I wanted to add a D-18 to my collection. There was nobody in the store but me......and two employees, one older gentleman and a younger guy. I asked to play a D-18 hanging in the front room. The older man told me to take it in the acoustic room and play. I assumed it was acceptable to play any of the guitars in that room. I took the D-18 back to the front where it came from and hung it up. I went back to the acoustic room and played two other guitars. That's when the younger guy came in and basically told me to leave. His exact words were "I have to clean all these guitars after you play them and that one you're holding costs $7,000." He said it in a condescending tone, as if to say "there's no way you could afford that". I told him about one of the Martin guitars I own that is valued around $10k. I was hinting to him that I know how to handle expensive guitars. He said "Good for you", again with a smirky attitude. So I hung the guitar back on the wall and left the store. I will NEVER go back there and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody else. They have some nice guitars, but they treat it like a museum instead of a guitar store. The guitars are to "look at......but not touch". Again, I was the only customer in the whole store. It wouldn't have been that much trouble to come in the room with me, talk to me, ask me what I was looking for, offer to let me play some guitars. Instead, they just left it wide open....and then got mad when I played a couple of the guitars. It was a weird, unsettling experience. My advice.........STAY AWAY.

Rob was great to work with online and was happy to answer my questions when I called their store before completing the transaction. I got a great deal on a guitar that clearly had been cared for and was shipped quickly. Moore has earned my future business and would recommend them to anyone purchasing a guitar online.

As an editor, brand manager and producer at a local university, I've been working with Spot…read moreCreative for several years, and I don't ever want to stop. When we launched the video portion of our marketing campaigns, we were a little unsure what, exactly, we wanted. Spot held a few meetings AND then held our hands as we figured it out together. They reviewed the print and web materials we already had, talked with us in-depth about what our university brand meant and where we saw it going, and coached us through casting/production/script writing basics. With considerable input from us, they led the way during those first projects, and the university came out on top with some eye-catching campus tours and student testimonials. Flash forward to today, and X still marks the Spot. Now that we've got some projects under our belts and we sort of know what we're doing, Spot lets me take the reins in directing the shot list, music and goals for our videos, while they continue to take outstanding footage and use their technical expertise to create magical things. They encourage me to be as hands-on and opinionated as possible, and I always look forward to my time in the studio - entire days there feel like mere hours because of the things I'm learning, the dialogue about the projects and the fun we're having. Spot truly understands our university brand, and that really comes out in the outstanding final products. Enrollment is up in part because of the videos, and students in focus groups share continually share their love for the vids. We use Spot primarily for shooting and editing new video, but we've also used them for new edits of older videos and some commercial work. They have streaming and other services, but we haven't really used those yet. I should mention that Spot does work for all kinds of clients, not just universities. I've seen their work for news outlets, financial institutions, auto sales, energy resources and more. Beyond their technical skills, the team at Spot creative is made up of plain-old good people - videographers, web designers, producers, graphic artists and more. These folks will share stories about their families, their dogs, their high school and college years and their interesting side projects, and you can't help but feel welcomed as one of them. They truly love what they do, and it shows in their final work and their processes with clients.
