I got Shellac nails done here but unfortunately the quality of the…read moretreatment was the lowest amoung all nail salons I've been to so far, in that there was no buffing, cuticle work or much filing at all. The nail technician just brushed my nails over with the back of a nail file as if to "buff" them which was sore, and then just did the polish without any further nail work. I've been to other salons around Blackpool where they do a lot more nail work such as properly filing, buffing and cuticle cutting, and charging the same amount. The online reviews were good but I was disappointed with the quality of the treatment. Another thing is that their opening hours seem incorrect; it says on the door and their website that they open until 8pm or 9pm Weds-Fri and until 3pm on Saturday, but when I went in they are actually only open from 9-5pm except Thursday, and close by 12pm on Saturday. The staff were all very friendly, which leads me to give 3 stars, but incorrect opening hours on the site and treatment quality has led me to deduct 2 stars.

Elan is located right opposite the Spire Hospital so it's easy to find, and they do a really good Caci peel non-surgical facelift facial which I found to be very good. They do massages, Eve Taylor and Dermalogica facials as well. One of my favourite treatments here is the gel polish. They use a stronger gel polish brand which is more durable and longer lasting than Shellac. Although it's harder to remove, I personally prefer it over Shellac as it's thicker, stronger and hence does not chip as easily. There are also nicer colours as well a number of glittery colours. The prices are slightly higher than some other places in Blackpool, but I find that the quality here is superior. It's popular among those working in the the Victoria hospital as well. Overall, lovely staff, quality treatments, very clean salon and reasonable prices.
