Employees were friendly but the only person that was nice left. They blamed my dog getting bit on my other dog. But, before my dog was even bit, I was told that they keep my non-bitten dog separate from others (including her siblings). This same exact situation happened with my sister in law. Took our dog for a trim. Was told she ha a few knots on her legs that would have to be cut short. She is a Australian shepard poodle mix. Her hair was 3 inches long. Instead they shaved her completely!!!! Even cut her whiskers off. Don't go there for Amanda to groom your dog. read more

My two dogs loved this place! We took them to daycare there while vacationing, and when we pulled into the parking lot they were very excited to go in and play with their friends. The owners and workers keep the place clean, and the dogs are well-taken care of. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I also think their prices are very reasonable for dog daycare. It's $10 per dog for less than 5 hours, and $20 per dog for 5 hours or more. We will definitely use this place again when in Beaufort! read more

I recently moved to Beaufort and was looking for a local grooming salon for my small dog. They went out of their way to accommodate us with an appointment right away because my dog was overdue and they were anxious to please. Upon our second appointment, we made a couple of adjustments to the service and had an even better result overall. They are very nice people that love animals there- that really comes through. We are very happy and feel that they provide a nice level of service for a very fair price. We have been taking my daughter's service dog to them for about two years now and have been highly recommending them to friends and neighbors and also on the local Beaufort pages but will not be anymore! I picked him up and he was so badly shaved, nicked and had blood on him. The poor dog couldn't even sit down! My daughter called to ask about why this happened and she was told he was infested with fleas and that the nicks where flea bites! There was no signs of fleas bites on his butt area at all! Just a horrible raw shaved job that I could have done better! There was no fleas on him when we took him to them! They have lost our business and will make sure if anyone on any of the local Facebook pages ask for a local groomer , will make sure to tell them not to take their pets to them! read more

I had just moved to Beaufort..upon my arrival the place reeled of dog-and there was dog hair all over The man at the counter told me that the groomer was new and not so experienced in a Westin cut. We left him hoping all would be well Up on our return our Westin looked like a chihuahua. The cut all his "mane" off. The owner offered us ten dollars off. R u kidding? At first, upon dropping off my precious Tikka, I was more than a little scared of the conditions here. From what I saw of the outside yard, there was chicken wire which could easily become dangerous and some other haphazard playthings that seemed to be a far cry from the clean and sleek kennels where I typically leave the love of my life. But, after she spent three nights there, I feel better. While she was happy to see me as always, the folks at Beaufort Dog gave me a full report of her activities while she stayed in their care and she seemed to like them, an impressive feat for my skittish pup. Watching them with other dogs, they seemed attuned to what each pup wanted and were happy to pull them in to smaller or solo groups if need be. They've got kind of crazy hours for drop off and pick up and we ran in to a bit of a snafu there, but they were happy to help. Compared to Atlanta standards, the prices are quite reasonable and I like to see that they carry the higher-end brands of food and treats as well so I can pick up Tikka's high-falutin food when need be. All in all, I wouldn't mind bringing Tikka back here, but I admittedly felt a little better leaving her at Camp Green Dog which is way farther out of town. For convenience's sake, I'll likely be back here. read more

This is the worst boarding facility I have ever used! When I picked up my dog after 6 days, her bottom was stained from her having diarrhea and she was very lethargic. I thought the stain was odd because I paid for her to have a bath, and no one advised me that my dog had been sick. She began vomitting and continued to have diarrhea for three days before taking her to my vet. My vet explained to me that my pup had eaten a lot of rabbit poop and had an inflamed GI tract as a result of the bacterial infection caused by the large amounts of rabbit poop she digested. We are now in our 6th day of vomiting and diarrhea. When I leave my pet in someone's care, I expect for her to be "cared" for. Obviously she wasn't even watched by the staff. DON'T leave your pet with Beaufort Dog!! (The only reason there is one star on this review is because it was necessary to have at least one in order to post.) read more

I love Beaufort Dog, maybe more than my Bulldog Maggie Moo. I've used the boarding numerous times and had great experiences every time. Mike is so good with Maggie Moo a.d she gets excited when she sees him. Mike is so good at what he does, he truly loves other people's pets as they were his own. For some time, due to skin issues, we get our dog food from Beaufort Dog and have had no issues since changing. As for grooming, Maggie Moo gets her nails done by Mike too. If you're worried about boarding, grooming, or other services there.. stop! Go to Beaufort Dog for all your pets needs, they deserve the best service you can offer them. read more

I would put no stars but that is not an option. I have been using them for 3 years no problems. Now they change the staff and I had to get my dogs regroomed because they jacked up my dogs hair. My 4 year old could have done better. Then after just getting them regroomed I had to use them to watch my dogs because we were moving and they hand me back one dog covered in dog poop. The person working was rude and acted as if my dog playing outside was an excuse for him to be covered in poop. It was caked on and had been there for days. So obviously they don't clean the play area nor do they supervise the dogs playing which could be dangerous. Just horrible!!! read more

I would prefer to give them a 0 but that isn't an option! I called last Monday and requested to bring my dogs for bathing and grooming on Thursday. They said the groomer wouldn't be there on Thursday. Made arrangements to bring them at 8 am on Tuesday morning. When my husband got there, they said the groomer wouldn't be there until Wednesday. I LOVE Beaufort Dog - Grooming! I have taken my sister and mothers small pups [ Pomeranians and a Maltese ] there multiple times and have been satisfied every time. The dogs smell great, look great and during the day they get to play with other pups! Who doesn't like a chance to socialize their dog with others? Nice couple of people, but I don't like the fact that they don't do temperament test before allowing pets and the use of cameras , I don't think can replace a person in case something happens, there's no way those cameras are watched every second!! Plus dogs are outside, summer would be to hot and fridges in winter!! Need more space and more supervision as well as room inside so dogs can come in and out to rest!! Exp of a great and well supervised daycare, the animal house augusta ga! They have over 6000 square feet, do temp test has people at each dog station to interact and watch over!! Love them!! Beaufort Dog is a wonderful home away from home! We are from out of town and unexpectantly (4:45 Frday evening of New Year's Eve weekend) found that the person who was going to stay in our home to take care of Shadow was unable to do so. As I frantically began making phone calls to find a place the person who answered the phone (I believe Michael) was very kind and accommodating. He helped us work with our out of town vet to get all the paperwork taken care of and by the time we arrived had a place ready for Shadow. I was thrilled that Shadow was going to be able to play with new friends every day and not be locked up in a box like all the kennels in Augusta do (which is why we have someone come stay in our home). When we arrived to pick up Shadow he was playing happily with the whole crowd of friends! BD also did a great job taking care of Shadow's special dietary needs. YEA Beaufort Dog! read more
