Completely unacceptable experience at PetSmart. My dog was left locked in a kennel for six hours after her grooming was finished -- and no one called to let us know she was ready. When we finally picked her up, she was so distressed that she peed all over the lobby because she had been holding it the entire time. That's absolutely heartbreaking and completely avoidable. This is not just poor communication -- it's neglect. No animal should ever be left sitting in a kennel for hours without a bathroom break or contact with their owner. We trusted PetSmart to care for our dog responsibly, and that trust was broken. We will not be returning, and I strongly urge other pet owners to think twice before bringing their pets here. PetSmart needs to take immediate action to ensure something like this never happens again. read more

we have an elderly dog and our groomer was so incredibly patient and did such an amazing job. We came in a bit early to make sure everything was going well, and she was literally laying on the floor with our dog trimming his nails. Won't go back to the Petsmart in Beaufort! Everyone there acted as if it was a chore to be there. I felt like no one cared about my dog. I took my 11 yo cocker spaniel to get groomed. They did a poor job and charged me an extra fee because she sat down too much for him. my girl gets groomed every 6 weeks and I've never been charged anything extra. Previous groomers always tell me how easy it is to groom her because she's so relaxed. I also paid extra for her nails to be grinded, they were still hitting the floor when we walked out. read more

Made an appointment, and paid extra, to have Isaiah groom my dog. After four hours I returned to the store to find someone else starting the grooming. This person was "new" according to the staff. They refused to just give my dog to me. Isaiah was working on another dog. My boy had to wait 4 hours because they had "walk ins". Apparently if you walk in you get done first, appointments wait indefinitely. I was told if you want to be started at your appointment time you need to pay an extra $15. Expensive for the treatment your dog receives. read more

My 75 year old mother brought her 5lbs Yorkie in to be groomed and was charged $84!! A $5 fee was added because it was a holiday weekend. WHAT!! That is absolutely absurd! She wasn't even told about it! I only pay $80 for my 80lbs dog! She was absolutely taken advantage of! read more

The staff is very friendly! I love how nobody is afraid to approach my dog and they always have a treat. It's a big deal with a big dog like mine. I brought my Great Dane to the beginners training class and Shane was amazing! I love how he talks to us like a real person and even calls us out a little bit on the things that we do and probably shouldn't. It's definitely worth the money and we learned a lot. Wonderful store! Very clean, Great selection, and helpful staff. Can't say enough about the customer service. Upon a recent visit, a staff member spent nearly 30 minutes with me. I needed help understanding everything I needed and could expect from my new reptile. He was informative and patient with me. Today's visit was just as enjoyable. I had previously gone to another groomer, but a friend recommended this PetSmart. She made the appointment on my behalf and didn't include a hair cut. Karen, went above and beyond and made accommodations to provide every service that I needed and that my friend hadn't even scheduled. And when I picked him up, my Spencer was gorgeous! Never in the 12 years has he looked this incredible, shiny, with every detail attended to! Karen is the BEST!! I hope somehow her supervisor sees this, because she is a jewel! STAY AWAY FROM DOG TRAINING WITH SHARON S! My dog and I went here for Beginner training. He is a very excited, happy, spaniel-lab mix. He has learned many tricks prior to class and has a strong urge to play with new dogs and new people. Sharon S. was our trainer. She complicated the class, gave us unclear instruction, and little time to learn the material. On top of that she chided us for every perceived (correctly or not) incorrect movement. I felt uncomfortable and out of place all six weeks. I could not stand her negative aura. I drove over an hour each way for her to give me and my dog useless badgering. However, we did get some socializing, a treat bag, and a certificate for our time. The class was such a disappointment. Perhaps the other trainers (?) are great. The other employees were kind and understanding. Sharon S in the dog training area is awful. She ruined my experience in that store. And frankly put a bad taste in my mouth in regards to all PetSmart stores. I pray she wakes up and starts listening to customer concerns. I will not be back. read more

I have found a great groomer at PetSmart in Beaufort. Her name is Jenny, and she is wonderful with my 8-year-old Maltese, Emi. Jenny is good with people, is gentle and loving to my dog, and does a great groom. I have never had anything but the best care for Emi from all the employees at the grooming center in PetSmart. I've been using them for about 8 months now after moving back to the U.S. from Taiwan. It took me awhile to find someone here I trust, and Jenny is that groomer. After taking my dogs to the grooming department in this Petsmart for YEARSI have had the most upsetting experience today. First of all, of all it took me three weeks to get an appointment due all of the issues related to the coronavirus - understandable. I took my very nervous pit mix for a bath and nail grinding which I have done there in MANY occasions. The groomers and the manager on duty today (Thursday, May 28) knows my dog well when I left and went to an appointment I had at the Honda dealership. I received a phone call from a grooming associate about 20 minutes after I left telling me I had to come back and get my dog or they were taking her to vet because she had thrown up water and was "foaming at the mouth." When I explained that I didn't have quick access to my vehicle she rudely told me "my manager says we are taking her to the vet." I literally had to tell the Honda maintenance department to stop what they were doing, go back and get my dog - who was fine by the way - just nervous like all dogs are- and was met with cold stares and unapologetic attitudes. I explained that I had made this appointment which took me three weeks to make and was told by the manager in the grooming department "I guess you'll just have to reschedule." I will never take either one of my dogs to that Petsmart again. I even called the manager if the store to see if she could help and never got a phone call back. Nice going PetSmart... read more

Made an appointment to have my dog bathed. Even after a extra phone call, because they would not accept my dog's valid/current Rabies tag, the claimed to have never heard of me when I got there. To add insult to injury they made me wait, while they took care of the person who came through the door after me. Don't waste your time with PetSmart. read more

If you need dog training I highly recommend Cyndi at petsmart. I took a 4 week course with my 3 year old adopted hound/beagle mix Colt and the results are amazing. Great experience yesterday! I just got a new dog and needed to stock up. I was greeted right away and checked on several times including by the manager. In particular, D'Angelo told me how to get a $15 off coupon using a text code which was much appreciated considering all the stuff I needed. My experiences haven't always been so pleasant at this store, but today makes me happy to go back in the future! read more
