She took notes and photos throughout the trail, which she came prepared with on my big days. On the day of my trial, she noticed that my eyes were watering (I have dry eyes). She suggested that we try putting some eye drops. To my surprise, my eyes stopped watering. Marwa remembered to bring the eye drops on both my wedding and reception day. The looks she created for me on the days of my wedding and reception were even more incredible than the trial. She is able to work with brides from different ethnicities, producing great results for all skin types and colours. She is very helpful as well. I lost the back of my one of my earrings just as I was about to leave for my reception. Marwa was very sweet to let me use the backs of one of her earrings. She is very responsive, and it very easy to communicate with her via email or phone.

If you're looking for a professional make-up artist for any event, I would HIGHLY recommend her for the following reasons: 1. professional as well as personable: From the get-go, Marwa was always very professional and reliable. We had a pre-meeting to discuss the look that I was going for. She came prepared and asked all the appropriate questions. Her interactions and communications (via email, phone, or in person) were always very professional. She is also very personable, friendly, and easy to work with, which brings me to #2: 2. collaborative: Marwa really worked with me to achieve just the look(s) that I was looking for. I showed her my ideas and she showed me some of hers. She is flexible and is really attuned to what her clients want. She takes into account the event, the environment (indoors vs. outdoors), outfits, etc...She thought of things that I didn't even think would influence my hair and make-up. She also made suggestions taking into account my desired look. I always felt very comfortably talking to her and she was always receptive to my feedback and requests. 3. technical skill: It is clear that Marwa has the proper training and technical skill to deliver a variety of looks. Her competency is evident in her dexterity and her attention to detail. I also appreciated that she truly took her time in achieving my look. Never did I feel rushed or that I was inconveniencing her. While she was doing my hair and make-up, she would always "check-in" with me for my input. She put me at ease and helped me de-stress about my upcoming shoot. Overall, Marwa was a complete joy to work with. Needless to say, I LOVED my hair and make-up for my engagement shoot. It was just the right amount of make-up to "show up" in the pictures, but also still looked totally natural and not overdone. My hair and make-up were complete at 11am and our shoot was 330pm - 7pm. In that 8 hour span, I never had to touch anything up or reapply any make-up other than lipstick, and that was only because I ate lunch :) She did such an awesome job and I couldn't have been happier.

I had several troubles contacting them at first in order to receive a contract and put down a deposit, which was very frustrating in the moment. But once everything was finally sorted out I later had a bridal trial and then it was the big day! They traveled to a hair salon close to our venue in order to do my bridal party's makeup and hair simultaneously, but they would probably travel anywhere! They were on time, cleaned up all their supplies, and were very appreciative to their salon staff for using their space. I found their pricing fairly reasonable for bridal makeup services and I especially liked how the tip was included in the total price for both my trial and our day-of makeup services. My bridal party was pretty impressed and everything went very smooth the day of.

Yesterday was my birthday and this is how a $168 gift to myself turned into a complete failure…read more I had an eyelash extensions appointment with a different salon that was unexpectedly canceled last minute, therefore leaving me to call around town to find someone who could fit me in on such a short notice. I was able to connect with Jori (the owner) at roughly 1PM and was scheduled with Brier (the stylist) by 4PM. The service took roughly three hours to complete and this is the completed work.... I am astonished that my service turned out to be so horrible when a reviewer below had the same work done, by the same stylist, and had better results. The eyelashes were promptly removed this morning by a different salon because they were beyond repairing without starting over again. I believe I am making a reasonable/accommodation by request a refund for the cost of the service and allowing the stylist to keep the 20% tip for the products used. However, the owner disagrees and believes that I should be sympathetic to the stylist because she was able to accommodate me on a special occasion (as if I wasn't paying for service to be done) who is a contracted employee who rents out space in the salon. Lastly, the owner said I should accept a partial refund due the scarce amount of customers booking appointments due to the COVID pandemic. Additionally, the owner offered to give me the refund I am request in a form of a gift card to the salon to be used for other services but again, that is impractical given that I do not plan to return. I also find it unprofessional that Jori has stopped responding back to my messages to completely rectify the situation at hand. If you wish to get quality eyelashes done, I do not recommend Blush Beauty Room. (PS the last photo is the service/style of lash extension I as hoping to receive.) UPDATE: I stopped by the salon today to dispute the service in person and I received a full refund! Jori stopped responding back to my text messages (picture attached below) and this was the only option I was left with. Since she was servicing another client I offered to sell them the gift card instead to receive the refund back in cash to which she declined and directly refunded me instead. I will NEVER be coming back and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Also, she told me in person that she already reported this google review because it was false (pictures and text messages don't lie) and cursed me out as I was leaving... do better!!

I don't like to leave negative reviews but as time goes on my color and cut just seem to get worse. I was hoping as cut grew out it would improve. Nope it's worse. Natalie did my hair at Christopher J's and it was a disaster. My appt was Oct 24. at 11:30 am. I just moved to Plymouth Oct 2. My previous stylist used Wella products and I found Christopher J's on the Wella salon finder site. I was thrilled when they had a 4.7 star rating. I had the "formula" my former stylist used. Natalie seemed very happy I had that information. When my hair was processing I noticed the color did not look quite right. I mentioned it to Natalie when she was washing the color out. She told me "oh we did not have one of the colors so I just substituted". WHAT??? She never discussed this with me and 5 years of perfecting my color was shot to he-- in 45 minutes. If Natalie had given me the respect of letting me know she did not have what was needed for my color we could have discussed it and figured an alternative was close to my color. Instead I have a color I hate more and more. So that was the color; now the hair cut. OH MY GOSH. This is the worst cut I've had in 20 years. I cannot do anything with it. She kept saying oh it's a shag. No my cut was not a shag. I wanted my same cut just shorter and shaped. I let's rally look like I have the same cut as I did in 7th grade in 1975. Jo shape, sticks out all over. My natural curls are flat and frizzy. Normally I could up 3-4 days without washing my hair and it would brush out beautifully with dry shampoo and keeps its style. Not now, it has no style and was cut so short I'm praying I can find someone who can fix it. After putting my color on Natalie never came back to check it or ask if I was ok or did I need anything. Maybe I was spoiled by my previous salon but they had water and little snacks and Brittany always checked on me 2-3 times during 40 minutes of processing. Other stylists did not smile nor say hi. I would look around and if I made eye contact they would not smile back or acknowledge me. Salon is pretty and clean.
