The process was easy enough. and Jenny is super friendly and fast. I did have quite a bit of skin that lifted when I got waxed which is not pleasant. I have been around the world and back. I have been waxed in many countries and states, including, but not limited to Australia, Costa Rica, Boston, MA, New York, NY, Hartford, CT, and several places around the Twin Cities. Jenny is among the elite few and is of the highest caliber of estheticians. 2. I'll be honest I have had some awesome waxes by some awesome estheticians, but what sets Jenny apart is her prices and her down to earth and charming personality. 3. Great customer service! 4. Super organized and punctual. Three and four were the main reasons why she decided to open up her own place and why it was a no brainer to follow her. The prices at her last place were comparable, but the customer service and organization was sh#t! They ran out of supplies often and one girl even told me, "we ran out of the sticks to do eyebrow waxing and they dont really do eyebrow waxing anymore". Are you kidding? After I took 3 buses to get to my brazillian/ eyebrow waxing appointment you tell me you cant complete the job?! Wow! I made a yelp account just to post this reivew - Jenny was FANTASTIC! I went to her a few days before my wedding for legs, underarms, brazilian... the works. I've gotten brazilians from several places, and she did by far the best job - no stray hairs or plucking afterwards. She was fast but also friendly, chatting just enough to keep you distracted but not so much that it felt awkward. She used both soft and hard wax; I think I prefer the soft wax myself. I'd been to Foxy Wax once before and had a good experience. However, my second attempt was a disaster. First of all, the location is incredibly difficult to find as the door is kind of off of an alley or parking lot (she changed locations between my first and second visit). I had to ask the guys in the Potbelly where to go. Keep in mind I'd been calling the studio itself to ask for help for about 15-20 minutes, but Jenny didn't answer. When I finally found it and got upstairs, I was late (prob by about 10 minutes) and Jenny rudely told me she wasn't going to be able to take me because I was a "new" client (although I was not) and she wasn't going to make her regular client wait to service me. So at this point I'd been rushing to find the location and calling her in an attempt to get her help and then she acts as if "new" clients are not as important as her regular ones so sorry about your appt, you wasted your time in Uptown traffic to get here. Also, keep in mind that for a 30 min appt slot, those 10 minutes shouldn't have been make or break for being able to service her next client in a timely fashion. I won't even delve into how unprofessional it is to run a business and not ever answer the phone... While I respect and understand she has commitments to other clients, it was her attitude and disregard for my time because I was a "new" client that was truly upsetting. Who just rudely tells a client in essence, I don't care that you're put out, my "regular" client is more important than you, there's nothing I can do about it. She didn't even offer another date I could return or any kind of discount if I WERE to return in order to apologize for the inconvenience. Again, even if she felt she couldn't honor the appt, at least have a grasp on the basic tenets of customer service to say "I can't take you now but here are other slots I am available" or at the VERY least an "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience." But certainly not a "You're new. Nothing I can do. *shrugs*" response. Her attitude was awful and I vowed never to return again. Instead I go to The Refinery. Super easy to get an appt, in and out (in much less than 30 minutes mind you) and they answer the phone when you call! read more

Scheduled a waxing appointment with Jenny through her online booking service. I did try to call to schedule, but never received a call back. I had to reschedule my initial appointment because of a family emergency, but I canceled with 24+ hours of notice (as I recall, I was not in a great state of mind but it was close) and rescheduled for a week later at the same time. Today, I drove the 30+ minutes to her space in terrible traffic and SHE NEVER SHOWED UP FOR THE APPOINTMENT. I waited 15 minutes, but the space was dark and locked the whole time. Mind you, I got numerous reminders of my appointment through the booking service, so I thought I had confirmed. I called twice today when she didn't show up, and no response. I'm not sure if she just doesn't use that online booking service -- but then why is it on her page? And, why won't she return calls? I was really excited to give her a shot because of all the great reviews but new clients, beware. Her customer service is absolutely terrible. EDIT: Just saw, seven hours later, that she texted me one and a half hours before the appointment to cancel (I didn't see it all day, my phone is not working). Not okay, but at least better than not showing up at all. I still will NOT be rescheduling. read more
