There is a menu of services out on the sidewalk, in Italian. The receptionist buzzed me in and she was able to get me in for a same day appointment. Yea. She speaks English better than she thinks, and with my Italian we did OK. The main floor is mani, pedi and hair. The massage rooms and bathroom are up one flight. There is a downstairs too. Waxing maybe? Need to check out their other services. The massage room is small but adequate. Candles and soft rock set the mood. In Italy the client is given a disposable 'slip'. This is a paper thong that customers must wear. A towel was draped over the table and another laid on top, tied in a pretty red bow, to drape over your body. My masseuse really knows her stuff. She followed what my muscles were telling her was needed and I feel like a new woman! The lotion seemed to get hot when she used fast strokes, heating up the muscles. It's been a long time since I've had a massage and she did a great job considering the mess of knots she was presented with. I have been to a few places in Italy for a massage and these Italian ladies are doing a good job. If you are in need of some pampering while in Milan, I can recommend the massage here.

I was desperately seeking an affordable place to get waxed in Milan and happily stumbled across…read morethis spa. The spa looks very small from the outside but once you are received by the receptionist, you are taken back into a peaceful waiting area with sofas, tea and magazines. A number of treatment rooms are further back, with antique doors that lead into each one, adding to the vintage look of the salon. They offer all of the services of a day spa, plus a number of more medical treatments that I think have to do with weight management and maybe permanent hair removal (electrolysis). The women who work here are warm and friendly. I had a great esthetician who did my waxing and a quieter woman who did my pedicure. While I would recommend getting waxed here (or having a massage by the same woman who does the epilation), I would not particularly recommend the pedicure. You are laying down in a spa bed and the tub of water is placed precariously on the bottom of the bed itself, so you're sort of leaning back but with your feet in a plastic tub. It wasn't particularly comfortable and later I saw a number of other nail salons in Rho with normal pedicure chairs. But for waxing, this was an affordable and good salon.
