It is devastating to spend money and time, and risk the way you feel about yourself, because hair stylists just want to get a service done without consideration for what their clients are actually saying to them. I went in with reference photos, though these weren't seen right away. I described the look I wanted, showed one reference before my bangs were cut, but they went shorter than was asked, and frankly- salvageable for my face shape. Rather than a clean-up with the wispy layers and wings that I specified that I liked and wanted more of (I need volume around my chin) the wings were cut, and it was shaped into a pixie with mostly blunt bangs. On someone else, this may be cute. This style does not suit my face shape whatsoever. I dont entirely blame the stylist- this comes down to communication: between receptionists and stylists for booking appointments, for the salon itself to communicate just what their employees specialize in, and asking for clarification from their clients. If the salon does not have an employee that specializes in short hairstyles, then please communicate that prior to accepting any appointments. This was an unfortunate case of "just get a service done", though it's a service that I unfortunately would have preferred going without... And I'm very sorry to say that, because I greatly appreciated the wonderful attitudes of the employees, and the display of skill that I got to witness for makeup and long hairstyles. My stylist was wonderful to speak with, and clearly talented in her field. Just needs more practice with short hair, and asking for clarification and further references, if needed, from their clients. The extra care and time spent would be greatly appreciated. If it's just a rush for the next timeslot, please give good buffers between appointments, and have respect for the money, time, and unique appearances of your clients. Thank you for reading, and please understand that I greatly wished to love my hair and write nothing but positivity for this salon. Unfortunately, this was pretty heartbreaking.

I was literally in tears on the table throughout. Using a 'new technique' (sugaring?) the technician went over each raw spot again and again and again and again. I asked if it would be possible to come back to a spot, work other areas in between, she said no. I have remained in pain for the remainder of that day and again today (the next day). Unbelievable. Worst I ever had.

The place is clean and welcoming. The staff are very nice. Though I'll never again accept to have my hair done by other than Shokhan known by Sho now. Her skill is amazing. You can tell by the way she holds her brush. As for dying my hair, she immediatly new what colour I should go for. My recent visit to the salon was last week when I had my hairlight done. Sara is specifically trained in this technique, and it's obvious. She was able to give me exactly what I was looking for - more dimension and a more natural look to my hair.
