Booked a deposit and slot for today for a tattoo cover up…read more Didn't hear anything till this morning, told to come down and look at designs? Despite being told I would get a design the week before? Got there and the young girl called Megan who I was getting the cover up done by, shows me a couple of designs that just weren't up to scratch. I told her I wouldn't be able to afford today but could do tommorow? as she said tommorow would be free,but she just spoke to me rudely and told me I should get charged for 48 hours and to Not do it again. I would have booked another slot straight away but was a bit taken back by the rudeness. Such a shame these people and places can treat their customers this way. I won't be going back with my money anytime soon. Tom

I was really nervous , I love tattoos but yes they do hurt, but they put me at ease, sat me in the waiting area on one of the 2 leather couches and let me take my time explaining what I wanted. Once I'd explained they put it all together on a computer so I could see exactly what it would look like and so I could adjust the size if I wanted. They do U.V tattoos, Cover ups,Tribal and custom work ,take in a design and they'll do it for you if they can. The shop is clean and hygenic and the tattooists take the time to make sure you are relaxed and and will take a break when like me you want a glass of water! A friend also had one done a few days later and while I was waiting for her I was asked if I wanted a coffee- fantastic!We were both happy with our tattoos and will definitely go back if we want another, a bit sooner this time though.

Pro Body Studios is one of the many hairdressers / barbers in Oldham, which is a town which also home to Town Barber, across the way from here and a branch of Supercuts. When I came in, I was so upset with the service, the staff seemed more concerned with having a conversation amongst themselves rather than making sure I'm comfortable/okay etc. The waiting time was okay, I did have to wait which was a shame as Im the sort of person who normally likes to get in and out of places quickly, especially when it comes to having my haircut. The woman who cut my hair, was quite heavy handed and did catch my head a few times with the razor. The music inside was also a little too loud for my liking, and I just didn't like it either which was a shame. This place is also up quite a large step as you go in, making it quite hard with prams/wheelchairs and the elderly, which is also a shame. I can't even help but question the qualification of the staff here, who even left my hair really wet and made no attempt to remove excess water or hair, which I feel was disgusting and made me feel I basically only had half a treatment, and this means I can't give Pro Body anything over a single one star.

Rather than discuss what I wanted with the tattooist, I was left in the uncapable hands of some 'kids' who refused to lsiten to my request and generally messed me about. Fortunately the tattooist himself was far more sympathetic to my needs and I'm happy with the end result. Unfortunately, they've yet to come up with a pain free way of giving you a tattoo but the price was reasonable and I would visit again, though perhaps not for a complex design as I'm not sure I'd trust them to deliver.

After complaining to the man who did them MIKE FRANKUM went bk to hopefully fix the issues was told he'd txt in a week to try finish everything up. Got zero txt. Customer finally given up. Proper let down. Not only did MIKE cross a line between customer n employee but then tried to make customer lie to her family. By the way at the time the customer was sufferering a severe episode in mental health n MIKE saw this as a green light to take advantage. Customer even paid a bit extra cause they felt guilty that MIKE did a bad job on a tattoo he was paid over the odds for cause they wer so desperate to just get finished n felt bad that working on them meant he'd b loosing money. Plz do your homework before getting work done here. CUSTOMER previously had 5 other tattoos done here by somebody called GLEN that wer perfect so extremely gutted with wat theyve been left with. Will now b seeking to take this to small claims court as not only did he not finish his work but preyed on wat was an extremely vulnerable person who on multiple times explained that they was suffering with a mental illness episode n even explained how bad it was. By no means is Stef's a bad tattooist however in my experience there are far better ones out there…read more Before you read on please bare in mind that my personal experience comes from a good few years ago but is the reason I have not been back. I found them quite uneducated in piercing practice as when I had my nose pierced for the first time they used a gun. Anyone into piercing knows a gun shatters the cartilage whereas a needle separates it and should always be used over a gun for non ear piercings. A friend had his first tattoo done there many many years ago, a celtic band that went around his upper arm, and it wasn't 'level'. Another friend wanted a very simple custom design but was put off by the hefty price tag charged to design per hour. Obviously they're doing something right as they've been there as far as I can remember yet personally I would not get anything else done there.

Based in leafy Chorlton, Sacred Art is a small and welcoming tattoo studio that specialises in a variety of styles from Japanese and tribal to American pin-ups. Alongside Mark, there's an equally friendly female tattooist - Sandy - whose covered head to toe in ink herself. If you're interested in getting something done, the best thing to do is pop in for a consultation and take a look at the designs in Mark and Sandy's portfolios. Their rates are reasonable, the studio is clean and cosy and I was very happy with the work they did for me. One ankle took about 60 minutes from outlines to full shading, the other about 90 minutes including flowers and a koi carp.

The shading, especially, is so well executed, like a watercolour painting almost. According to my friend, the studio itself is very laid back and the staff are extremely friendly and make you feel at ease immediately. Check out the designs of Mark and Sandy on their website, I love the fact that they specialise in Japanese and Indian designs, but really there's nothing that they can't do well. It almost makes me change my mind.
