After finishing my work at the library, i figured I would take in some culture. I dropped off my notebook at my car and went over to the festivities at the Market. I really wish my dad was there with me...the band was playing all his favorites...Dylan, James Taylor, Carole King, etc. it felt like he was with me. It was raining a little bit, but hey, it's Portland. I came prepared with a windbreaker. It wasn't that bad though. I walked throughout the Market and looked at the offerings. There was a lot of 3-d printed items and crocheted items. Unfortunately I didn't have much money to spend so I window shopped a bit then I went back to Ocean Drive...they were really good and I gave them a good tip. It was definitely a really nice and relaxing way to spend a couple hours. read more

What can I say that hasn't already been said? This is arguably THE BEST Farmers Market in the metro-Portland area. I can't think of one thing you can't find here. Fresh produce (get there early if you want flats of blueberries as they sell out quickly and there's always a long line), bakery goodies, spirits, handcrafted items plus the prepared food is amazing too. Have breakfast burrito and a good latte, listen to live music, people watch, and then get some lunch before leaving. You can make a full day of it then go home and take a nap! My reason for four stars is the parking situation. The market is so huge and the lack of parking is what keeps me away. Nothing but street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods and many of the neighbors aren't happy about it and sometimes downright hostile (who can blame them?) Even the handicapped parking is woefully inadequate. Definitely worth a visit despite the parking issues. read more

I come here often to support our local farmers and business owners. There's a variety of products, foods, entertainment. Plenty of parking around the area. Suggest coming early. It runs from 10-1:30 during the winter months. No pets allowed, so plan in advance. Most of the vendors selling food, drinks, etc have samples for you to try out. You'll find some interesting food and products. It can be crowded when the weather is nice...come early. Also, some products may run out...so come early :) read more

This larger market is held in the parking lot of Beaverton City Park across from the library. It was a perfectly sunny & cool day. We tried a corn and cheese Argentinian empanada that was great. Sampled chocolate, spirits, Bavarian nuts and random new to me fruits and veggies. I come to the Beaverton library branch often but this was my first time at the Farmers Market here. I was not disappointed. The two downtown are definitely the biggest, but often overcrowded. This one was less overwhelming and more enjoyable. read more

The Beaverton farmers market is definitely one of the biggest farmers markets I've been to around the Portland Metro area outside of the Saturday market in downtown Portland. They always have a lot of vendors offering things from fresh produce to crafted goods to drinks and bakery items amongst other things. We went around later in the AM and it was pretty busy while we looked around but never had to wait in line longer than a few minutes at most. All of the vendors we spoke with were very friendly and open to any questions we had. Overall, I would definitely recommend this farmers market if you are near the Beaverton area at all and are looking for something to do on a Saturday morning. read more

Honestly what can be said that has not been said about this farmers market. This is hands down one of the best farmers markets around. With lots of fresh produce, flowers, coffee, liquor and food. Great spacing between vendors so you are not tripping over others. Live music and of course need your knives sharpened it can be done here. In the summertime there is the fountain kids and adults can enjoy to cool off. Parking is a challenge you might need to park a few blocks away, please honor the library and not park there as is asked and signed. Come often in the summer last year, with COVID19 slow open decided to give it a go, sadly it is North West and it rained hard, what was good about the rain, lots of easy and close parking. Lots of food, fresh veggies, flowers, bread and seafood, you can find almost anything you need around good food and drinks, even speciality spirits now. Went here to experience my friend's local farmers market. She goes here a lot with her family. We parked in residential and walked across the street. This is a beautiful area to hold a market. There are water fountains, a playground, and benches to relax. I noticed they had a live band performing with chairs placed in front. About 5 rows of sellers. This ranges from cooked food, fresh produce, sweets, special items, and alcohol. There are port-a-potties, which were clean. Outside were the washing stations, that weren't out of water. My reason for minus one star is the fact that if the seller doesn't accept credit, you have to walk to the booth where you are charged a $2 fee for a transaction to get tokens that are like cash. It's a bit annoying, so make sure you have enough cash. As someone travelling from another state, I wasn't prepared. read more

Really happy to discover the Farmer's Market up here in Oregon. Beaverton Farmers Market has a nice variety of vendors ranging from alcoholic drinks, lemonade, fresh made food to local produce! Gotten a nice assortment of Beets, Potatoes, Sweet Peppers, Garlic bulbs, Shishito peppers, etc. We like to try and arrive early to find ideal parking otherwise it tends to get a little stressful driving around looking for a spot. Everyone seems to abide by Covid rules with masks on, social distance as much as you can, and frequent handsanitizer available. There was also a area for porta potties with hand washing stations available. Unfortunately seems they have gotten rid of the doggy play area due to covid, but kids jungle /play area right behind the event across the street from a church was in full swing. As a visitor from Arizona, I was delighted to visit a legit farmers' market with a fantastic variety of in-season produce. It was bustling at 11am and we had to park three blocks away, but crowds were thinning and parking spots opening as we left after noon. I went with specific goals to find strawberries, and I did: Marys Peak strawberries were what I found, from near Corvallis. I also bought a handful of fresh Rainier cherries. If I was a local, I would be a regular here. As a special note for June 2021, I was happy to see people were masked up and spacing as much as possible, which wasn't easy considering the crowds. read more

Probably the premier farmer's market in the Westside burbs. I get it- fresh, locally sourced food at a very central location. Lots of vendors, lots of variety, areas nearby to go for a picnic with your food. They tried to do the COVID lanes, where you go one way only, but not much enforcement of it. Same with the social distance. Only saw one or two vendors with their own personnel enforcing social distance. Just keep yourself safe, go either super early or super late to avoid the crowds. read more

But after my recent visit to the incredible Saturday morning market in downtown Beaverton, an updated lyric to an old Rod Stewart song comes to mind; "...the Portland Market has got nuthin' on you..." VARIETY & QUALITY OF PRODUCTS MAKE THIS MARKET POPULAR: The Beaverton Saturday Farmers Market opens early - 8:00 a.m. We arrived about 8:15 and were already finding parking at a premium. By the time we left around 9:45 that was even more true as shoppers streamed in. There's a reason for the market popularity. It is well laid out and chock full of farmers and artisan food producers selling top notch products. On our visit that included but wasn't limited to incredible peppers, artichokes, lettuce greens, garlic, blackberries, peaches (incredible peaches actually), goat cheese, berry pies that were still warm from their ovens, multiple varities of fresh garlic, organic pure cranberry juice and gelato. (Highly recommend Alotto Gelato's salted caramel gelato for breakfast by the way.) The aroma of roasting peppers filled the air as a couple of guys turned the charring peppers in a big drum and then offered their work product for sale. The sound of the band playing sweet music, even as early as 8:30, drifted in. Farmers and food vendors had samples to offer and information to share about what they produced. NEAT FEATURE - MARKET PURCHASE LOADING ZONES: We didn't want to leave, but our market bags were full and we had another market to visit that morning. Had we wanted to park our purchases to listen to the band out by the adjacent park water feature, shop some more and come back and pick up our purchases later, this market has a couple of locations where we could have done just that. A couple of purchase "valet booths" as it were, near the accessible parking location and staffed by volunteers where you can leave your purchases for drive up and pick up later. How convenient! Encourages shoppers to purchase more, like the whole case of Baird peaches, with a convenient place to leave them without having to hike to the car and hike back to shop some more. EQUAL ACCESSIBILITY: For Yeeps and other Peeps who use wheelchairs or canes or walkers, and for the people who shop with them, the accessibility here for shoppers of all physical abilities is some of the best I've seen at any of the many markets my hubby and I have visited all across the country. Good access is as useful for parents pushing strollers or shoppers pulling market carts as it is essential for shoppers with mobilty disabilities. ( Including me as I have MS.) Parking may be the hitch in this giddeyup. Because while the market offers an astounding 40 or so accessible parking spaces, all being used which is a good thing, I didn't see any evidence of spaces with the striped access aisle that would allow a vehicle user to deploy a wheelchair ramp. If you need that kind of parking, you may want to get in touch with the Market staff to see if they know something about parking that I didn't see. read more

I have been to quite a few farmer's markets in my time, and this might be one of the best ones I have ever been to. I thought Pike's Market had a cheap selection of amazing stuff, but I think the only thing it has going for it now is the fish throwing. These are the things I really love about this particular farmer's market: (1) The Dave's Killer Bread stand. I have never been a huge fan of sliced bread, but these bread fanatics have made me a believer. They basically put the equivalent of bird food in a loaf of bread so that you can savor little slices of healthy heaven. They might be the only people who sell a product, and actually know about it. It's not like going to a wireless store, and talking to one of their employees who always try fixing your problem by turning your phone on and off. Seriously, not to go on a tangent, but is that the only thing they teach people at cellular phone selling school? The point is, I appreciate that the people who sell this bread know about it. (2) The honey lady. There is one particular lady there who sells amazing organic honey. It is more expensive than you would find at a store, but it's worth the extra pocket change. I thought the Dave's Killer Bread people were passionate, but...this lady is a savage. She loves bees, honey, honeycombs, things that are yellow and black, and anything that buzzes. I asked her a couple of questions, and got a complete dissertation on the honey process. I imagine her taking baths in nothing but honey, and slathering it on her neck in place of perfume. (3) The nun mustard. It's mustards made by nuns! I didn't know that between adjusting their habits, swinging their rosary beads, and reading the bible they'd have time for this. Mustard that is tasty AND informative. Seriously though, this is probably the best mustard money could buy. I suppose they have an unfair advantage since God IS on their side. (4) Those amazing wieners! The Brats of course. I'm not a fan, but the line was always ridiculously long, so I knew it had to be good. I was right! We now make it a tradition to get one after shopping at the market. They do have amazing fruit, vegetables, flowers and assorted other goodies as well, but these little "beaverton-only" oddities drive me wild. read more

I normally love the Farmers Market during the summer as there is much more to see and buy, versus the winter time. Going in the early morning as they open is the best because by 10am the parking spots and traffic is very tight. The library across the way opens then and many shoppers park in the lot, though it is not allowed. Besides the parking, the market itself has food carts on one section and refreshments on the other with various booths in between. Lots of great fruits and vegetables to see, as well as flowers! I got to the market at 1pm and many booths were closing down which was very disappointing as there was 30 minutes left. It's hard to enjoy the full experience when a booth next to one you're by is breaking their station down. It made me want to just leave the market and come back another weak, which is frustrating. read more

I went to the farmers market with my husband my daughter. It was a very nice day and this was the first time they actually got a lot of people to attend ever since COVID hit. They are practicing social distancing and have sanitizers at almost every station. There's an atm available to use and no pets are allowed. There's many vendors that offer fresh veggies, local honey, beautiful flowers and much much more. There's also a place to sharpen your knives. We tried the German hot dogs and the coffee (do not remember the name). Overall it was a good experience and a great day out for the family. It can get pretty crowded during the summer but as we settle into fall/winter, there are fewer vendors and customers as well. Many vendors are allowing you to order ahead (through their website, email, or on the farmers market website) and to pick up your items the day of. This may be a new option due to COVID. read more

The BFM is a great place to spend an hour or 2 on a Saturday morning. Whether you want to get a quick brunch, roasted peanuts, donuts, fresh produce, hummus, a bouquet of flowers or a succulent for your desk, you'll have a nice time. Just something to keep in mind, the BFM is not dog friendly, so you will want to leave your buds at home. If you do decide to stop by, I recommend Rose City BBQ and NOLA donuts. read more
