If you're looking for a tour group experience, you will love this. And I do appreciate that the tour groups get treated well. But for an individual traveler, stay away. There are so many other places to eat in Interlaken, don't go for the convenient one next to the train station! Heck, get a doner kebab from the food cart by the tracks if you want convenience! It's a total tourist schtick with loud canned music, mediocre food, and high prices. The service staff seemed exhausted by the constant volume of people and music. The infamous Bebbi seemed really inauthentic to me and I have to wonder who he is when he's backstage. We only went because they had chocolate fondue, which I'm starting to realize is not really a Swiss thing. One good thing, the strawberries were good. There are several other places within walking distance to get fondue. Go to any of them instead. read more

After a long day of hiking through Interlakken and Grendlewald, my small tribe was about ready to snap. Weary kids with sore feet, parents tired of complaints and a teenage adult who couldn't be bothered to care. I came across Bebbis as a last resort of "the food looks good online, and I am tired of looking for Gluten Free options for kid B". I am so glad I did. A person traveling by Bebbis could be excused for not looking up. It is unassuming in a busy town square right next to a busy bus terminal. People are going about their lives with our heads down looking at our phones or trying to get to their next place. For that reason alone, the Owner and Front man of Bebbis can be excused for what are high energy, attention seeking antics. He waves flags from various countries, tells superb dad jokes, plays (very well) an alpine horn, grins and winks at kids and parents alike and generally makes your meal an experience. I am sure there will be people who don't fall for his particular brand of charm, and that's fine. I witnessed him focus on a large group from Korea, and leave a couple who were there for a date alone except to check if things were well. My children absolutely loved the additional attention, and he appeared to love playing off kids. He is an icon though, as bus drivers and Taxis alike shout to him as they drive by. He is larger than life. The food: We had three plates of the Älper Makronen which looked like Penne pasta. It was served in a phenomenal Emmental cheese sauce with Ham, potatoes, onions and apple sauce. The host was kind enough to bring bread for us to soak up all the extra sauce and there was not a single drop left. 10/10 would eat until I exploded. Our Gluten free kid had a plate of baked Raclette cheese with potatoes. pickled onions, pickles, And bacon. It's a very simple dish but the cheese was meaty and truely there in excess. Three large strips of cheese dominate the plate in a fantastic way. She couldn't finish it and we were all more than happy to fall on it like vultures. 100/10, I would walk over hot coals for this. Our smallest had a burger. She has now had burgers in 10 different countries. I would be ashamed if I had the energy for it but here's the review: she ate the whole thing and is 7 yrs old. The fries had paprika on them and were fantastic. To wind down the meal with had chocolate fondue. Purists will say this is not true fondue, to which I would say "Whaaayoumeanitsnotreal" as I stuff molten chocolate covered strawberries and bananas into my face at a competitive pace with my kids. Fun fact: those little forks are for defense of your treats. There were many little things like the timing of food or water not coming to the table. They were all addressed with a smile, a joke, and quick remediation. We loved this place. read more

Terrific atmosphere and great service. Bebbie himself entertains with his outgoing personality and talent. He will lead in cheers and play his Swiss horn. Food is varied and good. Highly recommend it. We were there in early May of this year, 2023. Tired from a train ride from Zermatt, we walked by and decided to stop for beer and sausage. Dinner and a show! Great place for swiss fondue, cheese, meat oil, or chocolate. The owner Bebbi is very friendly. He came to check on all of us multiple times. He is very entertaining. He knows how to play the alphorn, sing, dance, entertain, and speaks several languages. The food is good and tastes even better as his entertainment is so much fun. He loves to flex his muscles and that is part of his fun entertainment. I will definitely recommend his restaurant to anyone else that visits Interlaken. read more

The owner was hilarious. The issue was this location smelled awful. We didn't even make it past the entry way. Walking toward our hotel we stumbled across his second, new, location. It was very touristy and filled with Asian groups. We had fun watching his antics and the cheese fondue was eatable. The salad and ice cream were great. This restaurant was easily the worst restaurant that I have ever been to. we wanted something good to eat after a full day of traveling and saw this restaurant and decided to sit down. we ordered chips and guac, this consisted of Doritos with a small dollop of guacamole that was probably from a jar. We ordered the burgers because everything else on the menu looked really weird. The burgers were the nastiest thing ever. The bun was stale. One was questionably moldy. The fries were all right, that was probably the best part of meal. Very well might get a foodborne illness from this restaurant. Very nauseous after leaving and paid an exorbitant amount of money for a disgusting meal. Never go here unless you want diarrhea for a month. read more

I have so many fantastic things to say about this restaurant! Good fondu? yes! Cheap fondu? yes yes! Nice staff? oh yes Strange staff? quite strange Touristy as heck? totally Is that ok? totes The advertised price of the fondu lured us into this fantastic tourist trap! I think my favorite thing about this restaurant was the 25+ (really, I think there were probably 25) group of Asians inside listening to the manager entertain them. He's a weird one. I can't remember where he's from, but he was fluent in English and German. I loved that some of the waitstaff couldn't even speak in German. That was a little funny. If you're looking for a romantic, candle lit dinner, you might find it here, but also may be distracted with the large Asian crowds and goofy manager who likes flexing his muscles if there are women at the table. He's a nice guy though, and he does his job well. Maybe he had some effect on me! ;-O! hahaha just kidding. This place is strange and delicious, and next time I'm in Interlaken I'll be commin' back! p.s. The fondu dinner came with a salad, which was very good. It's a typical side salad. Wish I could give it a zero honestly. My friends and I were looking for a spot in Interlaken to get fondue, because fondue is fucking delicious. Bebbis was pretty much one of the only places that had it, so naturally we went despite its shit reviews. Yelp is telling the truth my friends, this place is shit. We sat down and ordered the cheese fondue deluxe. More like disfuckingsucks. The cheese smelled like my fart after a hefty meal at the local 2-star Mexican restaurant. The bread was stale, the cheese was flavorless, and it ruined fondue for me. Then I decided to order a Swiss/German classic, a bratwurst w sauerkraut. This was Class A mystery meat. Was it veal? Was it a fucking human fetus? Who the fuck knows. I'm sure the manager doesn't. Anyways, after I painfully forced myself to eat my meal because I was starving, I realized the charge for my meal was a ridiculous amount of money. Even for Interlaken. For example, the Allstar Breakfast meal at Waffle House is like $7. The same exact meal at this restaurant was 30 francs! What a fucking joke. Anyways, I left the restaurant sad and disappointed and even considered going to McDonalds to taste better food. Fucking McDonalds! If I had been pick pocketed I would have felt less robbed than I did after eating at this place. The food was absolutely inedible and when complaining to the waitress she just said 'ok' and walked away. Being a Swiss I am ashamed that a place like this exists in our country. Please avoid at all costs and save yourself some disappointment. 36.50 CHF fajitas were disgusting and inedible 13 CHF Guacamole with advertised 'fresh avocado' contained no avocados - it was a green sauce from a jar Pizzas are frozen pizzas that taste disgusting The 'Raclette' contained three small cuts of a potato with a thin layer of melted mystery cheese all over the plate The 'steak' was a tiny over salted and chewy mess. i had the opposite experience from the last reviewer. The food was relatively low quality and overpriced (even by Interlaken standards). I agree that the staff was strange--the manager had someone from each table try to blow this huge horn, and if you did, he promised you free ice cream for dessert. I did, and he said we would get free ice cream. But when the time came for dessert, the waitress played dumb and said that she could not give us ice cream because the manager had left. incredulous, I asked again when she brought the bill. She said again that I would need to come back later, when the manager was there, and talk to him if we wanted the ice cream. Now I don't care about the ice cream--that's not the point. The point is that I paid way too much for a mediocre meal, and was then treated like a liar when I asked for a free dessert I was promised--a free dessert that they handed out to at least 30 people a few minutes earlier. The restaurant is advertised as "Tex-Mex", when there is absolutely no genre of food applicable for this shithole. The prices on the menu were absurd. $22 for a burger that was cooked 3 weeks prior, then reheated in a microwave. All of the waiters belong to some bizarre cow cult as they are literally dressed like cows. The decor was confusing and uncomfortable and made me feel like I was in the middle of a horror movie. When you come to Switzerland and you want a less expensive meal, this is the place to go! It's right next to interlaken west. You get great outdoor sitting and the owner himself is on the menu and at the restaurant. he's actually quite entertaining. A meal here can easily cost you have 20 franks per person. Which is actually pretty good for Interlaken. The beers aren't too expensive as well (about 5 franks a beer). I enjoyed my meal. read more

This was probably the worst restaurant I've been to abroad in a long time. The staff was sometimes responsive, however they often paid no mind to our table. After waiting nearly 45 minutes for our food, we were greeted by a pizza literally caked with flour, and a meat and oil fondue that for some reason took majority of the time even though it was a pot of oil with raw meat and an array of sauces (from a bottle no doubt). I've had better microwavable meals! In fact, I wonder if that's what they served us. Free salad- not worth it! Ick. They claimed their pizzas were amazing yet they didn't serve them at lunch time. They also claimed the Mac and cheese was the best thing on the menu... It literally was inedible and my 11 year old wouldn't eat it. My husbands hamburger- was it actual hamburger meat? I think he could have found a better burger in a caferia somewhere. DO NOT waste you money. We still spent CHF 90 and we left hungry.
