Small check-in waiting area but open to the rest of the business. Ellie was a beast at my UV gel fill-in. I wish I'd have taken photos right away, but here's my mani at a week old. I returned today, a week later for a gentle microdermabrasion facial I booked with Christie and was serviced right on time. The spa rooms are in the back of the salon and the area is separated by a lace curtain. Once in the facial room, it felt like any other spa, not like a strip mall nail salon. Christie was professional, and excellent in providing the service. The added bonus of the shoulder, back and décolleté massage while the collagen mask baked was A+. I did need minor extraction and she was able to do them without using any tools. If I were a local, this would be my primary salon for nail and body care. Thank you Ellie and Christine! --four stars because the pedicure service has a few issues. Communication with the tech was a bit off-putting. She has wasn't able to explain the spa pedicure options and wasn't able to tell me in detail what each included. She kept referring me to posters on the wall. They weren't helpful as the listed a service yet provided no explanation as to what was included in the service. Going to try again next week, and request Ellie as my pedicures. I'm sure I'll have a better outcome.

Some were great for a short while but after some time started falling short of my standards. That has not been the case here. I have been booking services at Lavo for around 5 months now and my nails have never looked better. For starters, they have an all-star receptionist. She is so kind and helpful and on top of her job! They are a very busy salon and yet I never have trouble booking an appointment. They are as accommodating as can be. Even when they miss my phone call, I instantly receive a call or text back. I have been serviced by several nail technicians and they are all so very talented. I never bother booking with a specific tech because I know that no matter who I see, they will do an amazing job I was recommended doing soft gel manicures and it has been the best decision ever made. My career is very physical so i would often have a lot of wear and tear on my nails but not with soft gel. The gel polish never chips and my nails have never been stronger. I am usually able to go 4 weeks with my nails still looking great but ready for a fill. I love this salon and as long as I live within a drivable distance I will never change. They are cash or zelle/venmo only. So be prepared. And in my opinion they are charging fairly for services considering the quality of the work. Thanks Lavo!

As it was a bit slow, Amy took me immediately for a regular pedicure and Dip powder on my hands. For my pedicure, she used brand new tools right out of the package and loved how clean they were. I will say that if you're expecting an over the top scrub down on the bottom of your feet-- this may not be it but they still did a good job in other areas. Amy did follow through with a great foot massage which was greatly appreciated. As for my hands, her attention to details and loved how natural my hands turned out. She was efficient and fast too. I left there pretty content as a new customer-- I'll definitely return.

On my first visit I was impressed with the decor and staff seems friendly and a large amount of nail colors! She is very meticulous and always pleasant. Even with the differences from the old salon I was pleased until the nail polish chipped off in a week and had to remove the polish! This had never happened before so I took pictures to show her. On my next appointment 2 weeks later I showed the pictures and she said I should have told her and she would've fixed it!!! This next appointment Isabella had a new top coat for me to use and was much better to keep the polish from chipping! I've gotten many compliments on my nails this time! The only downside of this salon is the cost of a regular manicure at $30 I feel is overpriced from the last salon I was at and paying $10 more. This place is very clean. They use a new set of nail file and buffer for each customer. The pedicure came with some light callus and cuticle removal and for the shin, a light scrub, massage, and hot towel massage. They nicked my cuticle three times on my hands though :( She immediately put some type of green antiseptic and then continued with the manicure. At the end, there was a small hand massage with lotion and hot towel massage. They have a banner out front that lists a gel manicure and pedicure as $30 each. It's not a luxury nail spa compared to others that I have been that provide accessories like phone stands, back support pillows, and arm cushions, but it is homey and full of sweet people. I saw regulars come and go, making it feel like a personalized and enjoyable nail experience. This nail spa was definitely the most meticulous out of all the places I have been. They painted the sides of my nails well, instead of leaving it bare. She also was detail oriented when using the ceramic stick to remove any gel polish on my hand cuticles. The nail tech also asked me if the nail shape and color was okay. Some of the edges toward the nail bed were not as neat. The manicure color I originally picked was too light even with a few layers, so we pivoted to a new color and ensured that I liked it enough. There's street parking right at the front, and some non-residential parking on some side streets if it gets busy. Parking may be difficult depending on the time.
