Following an array of health problems for my little bundle of joy Sonic in 2012, I knew I had to capture him in the best light possible (parden the pun). After seeing Zoo Studio's work on a friend/colleague's blog some months back they instantly came to mind. From making the first call to our viewing, everything ran super smooth and was a tonne of FUN. Granted, I was expecting the photos to be edited at our viewing to give us the chance to view them as they'd be in our home, but I also understand the work involved in doing this for each and every client and so understand why they don't. Ordered, and currently being paid! I can't wait to receive these :) With many thanks to Ken & Beck for making the whole experience second to none xx --------------------- Edited to add: A few hiccups along the payment way that I wouldn't have expected, and somewhat uninformed. Just be sure you understand it is still a reasonably small business, and as such things in a contract may not stand up throughout the payment term i.e. dates of payments, timing of appointments, almost jumping through hoops. Also didn't receive a complimentary photo, as explained at the 'sitting' I would. Think it's because I changed my order - needless to say nothing was mentioned about not receiving it.

I have had 2 sessions with Ken for my dogs and cat and each one gave me some amazing art to remember my animals. It really is artwork, the quality if the photography is amazing, but also the way it is presented means I want to have it on display for everyone to see it. Ken is truly gifted with how he interacts with the animals. It's almost like he knows their personality and can draw it out of them and capture it through the lens. He encourages them to get comfortable with him and the camera and studio before taking any photos, which was such a nice approach, rather than just getting us in and out as quick as possible. You can actually see he loves what he does and interacting with the animals. (Even my extremely crazy Jack Russell!) The property the studio is located on is absolutely breathtaking and gets you in a relaxed mood as you drive up. I love the fact that Beck and Ken wanted to know about my animals before we came in and were able to answer all my questions in the lead up to the photo shoot. They made me feel very comfortable with how they were going to care for them (and me)! The finished work has so much depth to it. The detail is amazing. It is so clear and crisp. The viewing we had did make it hard to decide as all the photos were truly amazing and highlighted the craziness that is our pets, but also their sweet playful side. Beck is so lovely and helpful in making sure we got the photos that fit well with our house, but also ones that said what we wanted to say about our fur kids! What I did love is that there was such an array of pictures to choose from, with different feelings and emotions portrayed in them. In the end we were able to get a selection that truly summed up our pets personality. As my Jack Russell Harri gets on in age (he is now 16 and a half) I love the fact that I have been able to capture him in a way that will help us to remember him when he is no longer with us. The team at Zoo have been so very professional every time I have dealt with them. There is a reason they are award winning and that is part of the reason I wanted them to capture my animals. Would highly recommend anyone with animals of any description, to join the Zoo family - cause that's what it feels like, and have them capture your pets true personality!
