What a fabulous experience! We have a blended family and the owners just loved our 3-year-old twins and even had toys to hold while they were snapping away getting a host of candids - the style of photos we love most. This couple seem to really get into it! They certainly gave us 100% + and were very patient in getting a good range of photos for us. As first-time customers to a proper studio setup, we admit to being impressed. Mary took care of all the little details and loosely set up the photos - our kids did the rest by just mucking around. We had a photo session booked with Peter the owner and photographer and Mary his assistant and wife at 10am Saturday for our 4 young children. We arrived at 10.10am for the shoot and Peter confronted us screaming that he had waited 1/2hr and time was money. I calmly explained that we were 10min late (because we had to stop for my 3 year old to go to the toilet) he continued to rant that time was money and if the shoot wasn't over quickly he would just give us our money back. He then angrily directed his wife Mary where to place our children who were quite subdued by his aggression. He then screamed at my kids who were being so impeccable in their behaviour that if they were not absolutely still he would get in his car and drive away and mum and dad won't get their photo. My husband and I were quite shocked and in hindsight wish that we did not continue with the photo shoot. I work in customer relations for an airline and have NEVER heard or seen anyone behaving in this unprofessional, disrespectful and rude manner towards a person. I strongly suggest you don't use Peter at Sheldonlea for a photography session. He made an experience that was meant to be a celebration of our 4 children very harrowing for us and we regret using him. To say the least the smiles in the resulting photo of my children (that I picked up today) are forced as the experience was very unpleasant for our family. read more

Peter and Mary come across as lovely people but BEWARE when it comes to selecting photos they will push you into buying photos you don't want and Peter will become rude and aggressive if you voice concerns. He is also sexist and pushy - when I told him I didn't want one of my photos, rather than taking it out, he asked for my husband's opinion and then kept the photo to make me buy it. Peter will also talk to no end about anything and everything. He has built his business on flattery and talking people into spending ridiculous amounts of money or otherwise being rude and aggressive to achieve the same result. There are so many photographers available with good customer service skills and exceptional photography skills - do not waste your time on these people. read more

Both my boy and girl have had their photos done at Sheldonlea Studios and I can sincerely say this is a top-of-the-line studio for family and school senior portraits. Recently I came with my daughter for her senior pictures. The photographer Peter, was very passionate and friendly and my daughter loosened up to him straightaway - even though she's a bit unconfident. The grounds are gorgeous and the pictures were stunning. We're really glad we chose this studio and we're planning to return to update our family portraits soon! read more
