I cant keep up with the ever changing Government. Richard Schultz with Modern Business Methods out of Stevens point Wisconsin, is now my "go to" tax business in Stevens Point. I wanted to make it quick for the appointment but it wasn't quick because I didn't have all my stuff prepared ahead of time. Modern Business Methods ask a lot of questions. My T90 something from the UWSP. I didn't know what it was. So I had to go find it. Also I can get credits for my business and also for my non-profit. Modern Business Methods taught me to save receipts and keep better track of my tax papers. Richard is a Navy Veteran and very thorough! His business environment is very relaxed and not fast paced. I liked the "1 on 1" with the tax business owner. Its better than being in a big tax company where you are distracted by a bunch of other people in cubicles. I felt like the attention was on me only. I learned a lot about taxes. Richard helped me to re-get the proper papers that I thought were junk mail and threw in the trash. The initial part of the loan process did go through quickly with a nice person. They arranged it in just a week or so, but through a 3rd party saying they didn't usually handle larger loans directly. I called them several months after closing because we received a notice that our homeowner's insurance policy was past due and had not been completely paid. The policy was about to be cancelled the next week. The person that answered said she would have me talk with someone and transferred me... to voicemail. I called back. Another person answered and I explained, saying time was important. Could I please speak with someone who was in the office? They said the person that "handles that left". ... Is there someone else I can talk to... a manager? .... Yes, she could transfer me... but he's at lunch this time of day and would be gone for at least another hour. ... There was no offer to take information, have someone return my call, nothing. I asked if there was anyone who could help who was in the office now. Yes. I was transferred again and this person answered. They took my last and first name. I spelled it for them. After doing so, they then quickly said they could not access my account. I needed to call the 3rd party loan company. ... OK, would you have the number there for the right pers.... dial tone. wow Fast loan, yes. Trouble-free, not so much. People who care about doing a good job AFTER they get the loan through? Not found. People at work during open hours who can actually help, if something goes wrong with that fast loan they farmed out for you to someone else? You're on your own.
