My husband also sees Dr. Douglas (we almost never go together due to work schedules) and my husband has similar experiences. The staff here is great and the office runs efficiently. Dr. Douglas runs on time. I've never had a wait. My husband is typically a difficult stick. The phlebotomist here is awesome and always gets him on the first time. Dr. Douglas is kind and takes a real interest in you, not just as a patient but as a person. Dr. Douglas is a huge dog lover and has photos of his dogs in the exam rooms. It's a nice touch so that the office feels less sterile and more welcoming. It's also nice to get a glimpse into his hobbies/ outside interests. That way you see him not just as your doctor but as a human. Overall I highly recommend Dr. Douglas. He is a wonderful PCP. You want someone who takes the time to listen and gets to know you as a person. The location is convenient for me but even if I lived a little further away, I'd drive the extra distance for a good doctor.

Went to "Dr" Pressley for an annual physical. Prior to the appointment I called BCBS of FL to…read moreconfirm the visit was fully covered as preventative care and therefore no payment required even as I had not met my annual deductible. I was told by insurance company this was the case. I then called Pressleys office who also confirmed same. Had the physical ... Everything was good. I was in excellent shape and healthiest I'd been in years. In the 2 years prior I dad undergone an ACL reconstruction and hernia ops. All had gone well and he asked me how the knee was as I'd had another clean up surgery a few months prior. He also said my bloodwork was great and I was very healthy. A few weeks later ... I received a bill. I called the office and was told that "seeing as though we had DISCUSSED the results of the Physical it became a chargeable visit." I asked why i was told this was a fully covered visit by ins company and the Drs office when I had called prior to the visit. I was told that if we had not DISCUSSED the results of the Physical it would not have been chargeable !!!! Are you kidding me ? ... What is the point of having a physical and bloodwork if you can't discuss the results ? I was extremely unhappy and after calling the ins co and dr was informed, TOUGH !! that's just the way it is. No one mentioned this upfront that you can have a physical so long as you don't find out or discuss the results. I had gone out of my way to pre-approve this AND I was in great health anyway. A few weeks later a family member was admitted to hospital after a serious complication. Dr Pressley ended up being the attending physician. I was informed that he was a caring Dr so I explained the situation. He showed absolutely no interest. Simply couldn't care less. This Dr is only interested in money. Avoid like the plague. His office will charge you for even being alive. I had done my due diligence and was still ripped off. After multiple calls to Dr and Ins. co. I got so stressed out it simply wasn't worth it. So I paid the bill and moved on. I'll leave it to Karma with unscrupulous people like this.
