Dr. Wards reviewed all the scores with me, what they may signify, and in what order we should address them. I also opted in for genetic testing which informs on any protocols taken in the journey to wellness. For each subsequent appointment, you complete a scorecard listing all your initial symptoms and their associated scores 0-10 on severity. Not only does it inform on what remains to be addressed, but each time I attend an appointment I can see how much progress has been made. Within a couple of weeks of changing my diet, repairing my gut and addressing intestinal parasites, I was well on my way to feeling closer to my real normal. She treats one patient at a time, and in that duration she devotes all of her attention and time into making sure you have the right knowledge in how to best care for yourself. I have been seeing Dr. Lan for a little over a month now. In just 2-3 sessions, I have had a decrease in body aches including joint pain and muscle aches, a major reduction in brain fog, water retention and some weight loss and an increase in energy with acupuncture and mugwort (moxa) therapy alone. Prior to seeing her I had severe body aches and they have improved by about 80% without making any major changes to my lifestyle ( I was already eating very healthy and exercising). Additionally, I used to wake up feeling exhausted but after two sessions with Lan, I started waking up clear headed and ready to start the day. My brain fog has significantly improved as well which has been critical because I am pursuing a Masters Degree. Her treatments have also regulated my cycles to 27 days apart and have improved premenstrual symptoms to the degree that I didn't even realize my next cycle was arriving.
