Parking is easy here with free garage parking and a good amount of on street parking and we've never waited longer than 15 seconds to be served for a sit down meeting. EDIT; changed from 5 stars. In BECU they refused to notarize a Self-evidencing Will for my wife and I. I'm familiar with the Revised Code of Washington and feel there is no valid reason for this; RCW 42.45.060 "Refusal to perform notarial act. (1) A notarial officer has the authority to refuse to perform a notarial act if the officer is not satisfied that: (a) The individual executing the record is competent or has the capacity to execute the record; or (b) The individual's signature is knowingly and voluntarily made. (2) A notarial officer has the authority to refuse to perform a notarial act unless refusal is prohibited by law other than this chapter." As to the first reason for refusal; We are fully capable and competent, and any perfunctory observation would make it obvious that we were both competent and have our faculties about us. My wife is Asian and it's possible that was a factor for the white male refusing to perform the notary service. There was no reason for the manager to construe either of us to be of limited competence or capacity. My wife speaks three languages, including English. She's intelligent, and I'm capable of signing the document I created. Our signatures were to be voluntarily made and we were willing and able to attest to that. As to the second reason for refusal; A Self-evidencing Last Will and Testament is not prohibited by law. A Notary Public is confirming that the party signing the document has provided the required evidence that the person is in the presence of the Notary is, in fact, the person signing. We had the required legal evidence of identity. My wife is a US citizen and has a US Passport. A Self-evidencing Last Will and Testament is not going to ensnare BECU or its employees in the event of implied Intestate Succession/Challenge/Dispute to the Will. The hard copy IS the evidence and they are shielded from further responsibility. They would only be doing what a Notary Public does, verify the signature with required identification. Their website does not inform customers, or future customers, that they may refuse without cause, to perform this service. read more

Absolutely the suckiest BECU! I have no idea how any of the these people got hired to work in this industry. They have Terrible customer service, everything we have ever done here always gets done wrong, never fixed or takes a lifetime. Train your people, educate them, teach them about your products and services and how to talk to People! I have yet to encounter a decent person here. I cannot recommend using their ATMs. My card was kept by their ATM and their policy forbids them from opening the machine. Other local BECUs have been able to open their ATM for my son in the past but for some reason this is impossible for this branch, the staff attempted to explain "there is no back room for their ATM", of course there isnt, those models slide forward to open. I will now have to now get in contact with all of my creditors and debitors to update my billing information. I cannot speak to their other services, but should you have an issue with their ATM, you will lose your card. read more

Like others have reviewed, I'm also super happy with the customer service BECU provides on a consistent basis. I've been a member my whole life as my parents signed me up for an account as a child, but as I have moved around a lot I did not use my account often. When I walked into this location to cash a check I didn't realize my card was inactive, but I was promptly greeted at the door and helped to get another card and get my check cashed. A member consultant, Joao Vilca Soto, was able to help me with my inquiry and while we were waiting for the process to be completed, he asked me if I had any other questions that he could help me with. He was able to provide me with the information that I needed but also took the time to ensure that I understood it in a very professional matter. Now I am able to understand my finances better with the help of BECU and Joao, and this is something that will help me for the rest of my life. He didn't just give me information, but he steered me in the right direction and did what he could on the spot to help me improve and grow. That day, I was able to make some decisions and take the right steps into a better future for me and my family. He is super valuable to this institution and I hope they know this. Customer service is pretty crappy. Jackie has an attitude problem. Amy is new, doesn't know what she is doing. They both IM each other while serving customer and their eyes are locked to the computer screen. It took a long time to get a simple thing done. My husband and I are doing research on buying land and we went to this location to ask some questions about a loan application. We were greeted by a woman asking what we needed help with and a man standing off to the side rudely interrupted her when he heard we were interested in buying land. He was very discouraging, cold and condescending while he interrogated us about our plans all while awkwardly standing in the entrance of the bank in front of a waiting room full of people. He talked to us like we were naive children and was spewing nothing but negativity while he treated us like idiots. When we finally got back to the mortgage lady she wasn't much better. She acted like we were wasting her time and was annoyed when we didn't know the answers to the questions she was asking. We left feeling embarrassed and discouraged when all we needed was to ask a few questions to set us on the right path. Absolutely horrible costumer service and we will never give this back our business again. read more

Before today I would have partially agreed with Kevin Z. (previous reviewer), I only use this branch once a month for a cashier's check and usually the representatives are depressing and don't seem to care about... well anything. However they are always helpful and get the job done so I have to give them credit for that. Every time I use this branch I question whether or not the representatives are new (since they don't leave a positive impression for me to remember). Today I arrived minutes before closing and I was concerned I would be turned away (or deal with the "I'm tired, I want to go home, I don't care about my job right now employee"). I was significantly incorrect regarding my prediction. The moment I arrived Elise R. guided me to her workspace with a friendly attitude and proceeded to ask about my day and the service I needed. She processed my cashier's check within a few short minutes and sent me on my way with a lot of enthusiasm and kindness. She is by far the best BECU representative I have encountered outside of the Everett Branch. Dare I say I might wait until 10 minutes until closing just to have her assistance again. Unless they changed this location, it is NOT ATM only like the other reviewer stated. I've been into this location and a friendly banker helped issue me a withdrawal from a credit-line. I had a great experience, plus they give the hook up on interest rates for your checking/savings accounts and do not institute ridiculous rules to avoid fees or other "gotcha" surprises that the Big Bank's love to do. read more

Located conveniently in the heart of Bothell, this newly renovated BECU is a location I use quite regularly. Although the lines and wait times are often long, I admire the cleanliness, convenience and location. Parking is sometimes tough to get right up front and center, however they have a safe secured parking garage as well. Andrew is very friendly, and I am happy with his customer service!
