I had nothing but trouble with the car,and took it to a reputable dealer who check out the Land rover, it turned out to have many many faults and problems in fact the report stated it was the worse Land rover they had seen in a long while, I was very disappointed and angry that I had been deceived by Oakwood Garage. Craig and the owner Mikey said they would give me a full refund on the back of the damming report, and tricked me into returning the car, once back with them, they refused a refund, and held me to ransom stating they would fix a few minor problems, and I was with out a car and they had my money, so in the end I agreed as I was in a no win situation. Its fair to say at this point I contacted the RAC to be told they had cancelled the policy so no recall there, in the end I had to accept the car back with a few things sorted out, but realising I had been conned and was out of pocket. What they do is sell cheap on the internet, draw you in on the RAC rubbish and then sell you a duff car with all kinds of problems, very dis honest business.

They have got excellent after sales service. I have never known a little garage with this kind of commitment to their customers. The price of their cars are always reasonably good value as well. The cars they sell are not bad quality either. The mechanics are extremely helpful and nice as well. When they fix any problem of my car, they always try to minimise the cost of repairing it, which saves me money as well. Overall, I would recommend this garage.

Helpful friendly staff who will help and assist you with any queries you have. Located just of centre of the main shopping area next too the bus station. The showroom is not the biggest so not a great selection of cars at any one time but their stock does seem to change quite regularly so always something on offer for anyone's taste large car or small, petrol or diesel. One of a few garages worth looking at when considering a new car.

When purchasing my latest car they were most helpful in suggesting the most suitable car for my needs also taking into account reliability and economical costs for repair. I have complete confidence in the staff and they will endeavor to carry out repairs swiftly despite their very busy schedule. Yes parking can be difficult sometimes but there are plenty of side streets and I can usually find a spot close by. Well done Glendale, I wouldn't go anywhere else!

This time, a full service on my Peugeot 407 quick, efficient and well priced. However, a couple of niggles appeared after a week or so. Called Glendale, they asked if I could bring the car in that day. Duly arrived, seen straight away. Diagnosis as I suspected (wheels had been switched during the service, so 'new' fronts out of balance, and a clip on the under-tray had given way following some under-engine work during service.) Sorted within 20 minutes of arrival, very polite and courteous, explained everything that was going on. No charge and free coffee. Can't recommend them highly enough. In an industry awash with charlatans, these boys shine out. 10/10.

They were extremely helpful as well as friendly and polite on the telephone and were able to arrange for us to bring the car in immediately to get it looked at. Since then, we have had to use their services a couple of times to fix problems on the same vehicle and always the telephone manner has been extremely courteous, the staff in the office have been polite and helpful when we have dropped the car off or picked it up, and the actualy work which has been done on the car has been of a high standard. Unfortunately, the downside is the extortionate pricing, which I suppose is nothing out of the ordinary for a dealership, but at least you get good customer service for your money.

This is a family run used car dealership specialising in low cost, well maintained and well presented vehicles. The dealership itself is immaculate, the owners are friendly and the whole experience was pleasant. The garage moved from being a back street garage to a quite large main stream garage which employs about 5 staff. The staff in my view are not very friendly and do not explain things in simple terms and always try to talk very technical to you to try and confuse you into getting whatever work they want carried out. There quotes are on the expensive side compared to many garages in South Shields, the work carried out by these guys is of an average standard and is in my opinion not worth the money that you pay to have the job done.

I recently went to a very well known (chain) of garages to get my brakes checked as they were "screeching". I was quoted over £400 for what I was told were dangerous brakes and needed replacing urgently!! I was reluctant to fork out so much money and wanted a "second opinion" so I decided to try Astley Garage as my friend had had her MOT done there and said the staff were extremely helpful and didn't try to "rip her off". I called to Astley Garage on the off chance and they gave me a courtesy car whilst they looked at my brakes! A short while later I received a phone call from the garage to say the cost would be less than half of what the previous garage had quoted!! They fixed my car straight away while I kept the courtesy car - saving me quite a bit of money and an added bonus to have a car to use whilst mine was off the road. Would definitely recommend this garage and have arranged for them to do my service later this month. 5 stars. Thank you.

had the worst experience of my life with this garage, bought a car for £750 from them on the 31st…read moreof january 11.00am, by 14.30pm the car had broken down due to some battery problem, the car was dead. thankfully some young women stopped and had some jump leads and offered to help, sadly the car was having none of it. i was 10 miles plus away from home and the garage, and was with my girlfriend and 18 month old son. i rang the garage and told them what happened, and they adopted the " i don't care attitude" all they were bothered about was they managed to sell the car. i hung up and tried to get the car started again with no luck, i rang the garage back half an hour later to see if there was any way they could come and fix the car, at this point they said they had a brand new battery i could have but they would not bring it too me, so i had to either get the car to them to fit it, or collect the battery and take it back to the car and try and fit it myself! now like i say i was with my girlfriend and 18 month old son, this isnt what i want to hear, the young women that stopped to help gave me and my family alift home (thanks, unknown young women) and me and my dad, who had just finished work then went to the garage to pick up the battery from the garage, they gave me the new battery and disgruntly agreed to send the young mechanic back up with me to fit it (why couldt they have sent him in the first place) the battery was fitted and i drove it home and it was fine, i then went to drive it about an hour later and it was dead again, so i rang the garage and told them what had happened, they said it must be something more serious and they would take a look at it. later that night i got a call from the owner of the garage on a withheld number shouting the odds and using foul and abusive language to me saying if he was there when i initially rung he would of told me to F off! he finally agreed to give me my money back if i was able to get the car back to the garage in the morning, thankfully the next morning the car decided to start, i got the most frosty reception at the garage, but lookly got my money back. i would never recommend this garage in a million years, they are the biggest cowboys in the world, maybe the universe
