Having the opportunity to work with Stacey, Jane and the entire Acri Law Office was nothing short…read moreof extraordinary. Throughout their time representing me both Stacey and Jane were prompt with their replies to my questions, up-front with the options that were present and most importantly, compassionate toward me considering the circumstances. Stacey is an asset to anyone looking for a consultation or representation. She is knowledgeable, and will fight for you and your family's best interests.

REVIEW OF STACEY ACRI LIAR! DISPICABLE SLANDER TO…read moreFAMILY!! CHEATER!! August 31, 2023 Staci Acri wrote a letter to my cousin and the guardian of my daughter lying about conversations and meetings that were held whilst taking care of my mother's final arrangements for her inheritence tax and so forth. Stacey has caused so much trouble and unnecessary stress to my family and purposely tried her best to attack me on a personal level through the letter she sent...see below for more details. She deliberately lied about a phone call I had had with her secretary/ assistant, stating that I was angry on the phone and accusing her of "messing something up." She said I hung up on her secretary, which is a lie. I had just made an appointment with her...why in the world would I hang up on someone like that?? So that never even happened. She went on to write that she didn't appreciate my rude behavior towards her staff and copied the letter to my cousin, and the guardian of my daughter involving my family out of pure spite. She was trying to make me look bad in their eyes so as to prevent me from having any future relationships with them. My mother passed away and Stacey was her lawyer for many years. My mother was taking care of her own affairs before she became truly ill, and hired Stacey to prepare the Power of Attorney (POA) and Executor of her Will documents. They were meant to be in my cousin's name, however, the paperwork Stacey prepared for my mother was never finalized and therefore never legally binding. I ended up becoming my mother's POA and Executor of the will. At a family meeting with Stacey after my mother passed away, I was told, in front of my cousin and aunt and also the guardian of my daughter, by Stacey that we had 3 months to gather the information she needed for inheritance tax and so forth because she would be changing law firms. Finally, when we submitted the paperwork roughly one month after said meeting, Stacey's assistant or secretary, (I'm not sure of her title), Katie, called me to tell me they had received it, but that it was too late for Stacey to continue on this case without paying another retainer fee since Stacey now works for a different law firm. Stacey never carried this case over. I was surprised and told Katie that I thought this was all already paid for and she told me that we didn't hand in the paperwork they needed on time and so I told her we were told within 3 months, and she corrected me and said that we were told 2 weeks...which we were not. Katie told me that the new fee for Stacey to do the work on the inheritance tax, that I would need to pay a retainer fee plus her hourly rate. Katie said she estimated it to be between $1,500 - $5,000 for Stacey to continue with my case. I have nothing in writing stating that they needed the documents in such a short amount of time. Because of the high cost and because we were told it was already taken care of, I told Katie that we would just come back and pick up the paperwork so we can just do it ourselves. Katie told me she would be out of the office, but that somebody would be there for us to get our documents back. She told me between 1:30 - 4:00pm were good times to stop by the office. We went there are 1:30 today and picked up our documents, my mother's will, and also I was given the letter that she sent to my family. Stacey lied in the letter and said I was rude to her staff and went so far as to say that I hung up on her secretary. THIS IS A LIE!!! I never hang up on people, even if I'm angry. I wasn't angry at all, I was shocked that we should have to pay a second time for something that was already supposed to have been taken care of. The man who was in Stacey's office when we were picking up our documents, was actively speaking to a person on the phone, very loudly that I could hear him from 2 rooms away, and was very rude to whomever he was on the phone with and then slammed down the phone and hung up on him. He then attended to us, but he made me feel like I was bothering him...I had basically made an appointment. He was very rude. He also refused to show us the documents we were picking up before we signed a release for them, but he's another story. The fact that Stacey Acri delivered that slandering letter about me to my cousin and my daughter's guardian was appalling and spiteful. She intentionally lashed out to try and hurt me on a personal level. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! Never, ever, trust your family affairs to be with Staci Acri.

Terrana Law agreed to handle the closing for my Lake Winola property purchase, but the process was…read morepoorly managed from start to finish. Although they acknowledged that I was unhappy, I never felt they took real ownership of the issues that arose. At the beginning of the process, I contacted Maureen, provided all my information, and left a message asking her to call if anything was needed or if any questions came up. I never received a return call. Because no concerns were communicated to me, I had every reason to believe the closing was moving forward as expected. As a result, I began preparing for the move by packing, shopping for furniture, and arranging painters and cleaners. The situation changed abruptly during the final days before my contract expired. Nancy from Terrana Law became involved, although I was never told why or when that change occurred. Over the last four days, the closing began to unravel due to a series of shifting issues, including: * Difficulty obtaining the necessary figures from the sewer authority * Delays involving the settlement sheet that still had not been completed * A last-minute requirement for IRS sign-off * Notice, just one day before closing, that an appraisal was needed My concerns were not taken seriously, and the lack of professionalism and client care made an already stressful process far more difficult than it should have been. In the end, I lost the opportunity to purchase my dream lake house. Based on my experience, I would encourage others to consider working with a company that values clear communication, accountability, and stronger client support throughout the closing process.
