Beehive Homes of Hamilton, my home and family away from home. I moved here from Minnesota, took a lot of time off from working as I moved here to have a better life for my son. I was depressed, and not in a good place before I moved here. We lost my sons father and I felt like I had no purpose in my life. I knew I had to do good for my son, so I eventually picked myself up. I had a huge gap in my employment, I had job hopped, and I was new to Hamilton Montana with zero reputation. I went through a staffing company and they suggested Beehive. I had never done this kind of work and I was very skeptical. I interviewed and Beehive understood my situation and took me in. This is thee most loving place of employment I have ever worked at. Cameron and Virginia, as well as the house managers care for each and every employee, and resident as an individual. I instantly felt the love and comfort as soon as I walked in. The recognition for each employee is amazing! Taking care of these elderly gave my life purpose. I was home away from home. The staff LOVED and still love these residents with everything they have, even dealing with difficult situations. Fast forward to almost 4 years of working at this facility, I am proud. I am wholeheartedly proud of what we do here. Working at Beehive keeps getting better and better. The care & love I seen from the staff during COVID-19, with residents being restricted from many things, was incredible. We lost zero residents, which is an accomplishment in itself - and the residents are well. As everyone we grow, and I am proud to say I work at a place I love and feel welcome and cared about. I feel obligated to provide a candid and honest review of the Hamilton Bee Hive. One of the reasons I moved to Hamilton Montana with my Mother was due to the convenience of health care and the Bee Hive Assisted Living. She lived at the Bee Hive Pre COVID for nearly a year and things were going well. The Bee Hive had some great Care Workers and the owner Cameron seemed very engaged with the residents and staff. My mom liked living there, although she complained about the food being poor quality. I did eat dinner with her there one time and she was correct. The food was not good. Although during the holiday family dinners the food was great (Thanksgiving, Christmas). Now move on to COVID. The owner brought in a new manager named Victoria who was literally a NAZI. She treated the employee's like garbage and morale seemed to take a dive. The residents did not like her. She ignored resident complaints about food quality and she raised the rents dramatically to the tune of over $500 a month over the established agreed rent. During COVID, they were losing employee's and had scheduling issues. Family were rejected from visiting their loved ones. Residents were locked down in their rooms and unable to go outside, unable to leave, unable to interact, and unable to exercise. I saw a rapid decline in my mother who was fine before the lockdowns. I saw residents locked in their rooms for hours without any assistance or any contact with staff. I looked in the windows and saw residents sitting in their rooms like vegetables going crazy from seclusion and boredom. Sitting in chairs or in bed all day fidgeting with their hands and talking to no one. It was infuriating and totally unnecessary. The owner Cameron did nothing about it as residents conditions deteriorated. A few residents died during this time. I heard complaints from the staff about being over worked and mistreatment by management. I could not stand to see my mother suffer from no attention, seclusion, lockdowns, and lack of human contact at her age of 90. I removed her from the BEE HIVE and moved her into my home. She lived happily ever after with her family until her death a year later. The owner Cameron abandoned his Christian values and gave into the failed mandates of the health department. He failed to TRUST the families to be with their loved ones for even outdoor visits. It was a real mess. His manager Victoria was not flexible at all as she kept the facility locked down for far too long. I was so disappointed in the situation, some which was out of the control of Bee Hive Management/ Owner. It came down to a lack of concern for the health and well being of the elderly residents. Elderly must have their families to survive, They need constant love and compassion and should never be ignored. When Cameron turned the Bee Hive over to Victoria, the place imploded. read more
