Then they sold it at auction, and had their lawyers send me a bill for $4200 for storage. Beeline already cost me $20,000, now they want to add insult to injury and charge $4200. Terrible and not professional at all. Treated me like I was trying to steal my truck back...my truck with the blown engine. Guy kept telling me I had to pay before I could get anything from my truck. I literally called to ask for address so that I could pay. Once I told him this, he still was not giving me the address. He said to me "we don't do diagnostics for free." ...NO ONE SAID YOU DID! Came off slightly racist. You look at the other reviews and I can see why they're all bad. Good service! Car Tow costed $80. Tow driver was nice, helpful, and light hearted. Only complaint is being hung up on after waiting an hour, when I was told it would be about 30-45 min wait. I was trying to get an updated estimated time of arrival for the police officer standing with me at the 1hr mark. He and I thought it was quite rude to be hung up on. I had no problem waiting and am extremely understanding when it comes to waiting for service; however, after calling back to what we assumed to be a dropped call, it was evident to us by the use of my name, Receptionist tone, and caller ID that the call was in fact ended, -- not dropped. All in all, customer service over the phone could have been more patient and understanding. The service was extremely fast, friendly, and professional when the driver arrived. I didn't have it that day and asked to just have the car junked, which would allow me to pay the difference while not racking up storage fees. I was told no. NEVER USE BEELINE ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE IN A VULNERABLE POSITION. These people are crooks, not upfront, not honest. The usual bs from a bad towing co. I told the cops at my accident scene I did not want Beeline but I ended up there with a $600 charge anyway. $600 to pick up a chuck of metal and haul it a few miles. Can you believe that? Of course, there's no way around it once they have your property and any more time would result in the usual outrageous storage fee. $50 a day for them to leverage my cooporation. I will add it was unfortunately the weekend of my wedding and in addition I no longer live in Lynchburg, so I was really stuck and they could charge whatever they like. Furthermore, the woman at the front desk offered me a deal to send the title asap and the price would be brought down to $250. Come the day they receive the title I am charged $300. What other option did I possibly have at that point. I suppose I should count myself lucky I got out without selling them everything I own. Very unprofessional in the way they do business. There are no price quotes given or rates of service online or in person. I had to pay $175 to get my car back after it was towed the first week of classes when I was a student, and was not even notified of the parking rules or of what was going on. They also charged daily storage fees out of the blue that are not consistent, and that they don't tell you about until you go to retrieve your car. The second time I had to deal with them, I locked my keys in the car. LUPD told me to my face that Beeline would unlock my car for free. When they arrived, they told me that "they didn't say free, they said for a fee. We don't come out here and not make money." Someone is not telling the truth, and I believe someone is racketeering and stealing people's money. Refuse service by them if you are ever in an accident in Lynchburg, call literally any other towing company. I would not hesitate to give zero stars if I could. Absolutely terrible. read more

Had to move only 2 blocks to get to my house w an f150 truck that still rolled and was not totaled on a Sat night 11:45p in Lynchburg. $765. NEVER AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND. Use Mitchell's Towing as they are MUCH more reasonable. Used them before for a 4 mile distance and immobile vehicle. Almost HALF the price. Should have used Mitchell's again. Lesson learned. Just wanted to spread the business out. They can do what they want and charge what they want but this is most definitely taking advantage of ppl that are already down on their luck. I would give them 0 stars. I had my van towed when I parked in area not clearly marked with no parking sign. When I went to get it back they charged me a ridiculous amount. When I went to register my van before the registration was about to expire I learned, they had put the Title in their name. I was no longer the owner. They did work to clear title issue but when I went to sell my van the dealer wouldn'r give us anything because the odometer reading was off because of the title issue and said it looks like the odometer was rolled back. My grandson flipped his Ford Ranger on Hooper Rd around midnight on December the 20. Beeline was called to tow his truck they were on the scene about an half hour. We were thankful for all their help. He called the office on Monday thinking he had made arrangement to settle the bill by signing the truck over to them. We went out on Tuesday to finalize everything to find out they wanted the truck plus $500. They said the bill was close to a thousand dollar. I told her this was robbery, at least when Jessie James robbed he used a gun. Knowing they held all the cards and to stop the bill from going higher I paid the $500. Now I see why they have such nice equipment and facilities. They prove the saying the pen is more powerful than the sword. Remember all crooks aren't in jail. read more

Dishonest company to be avoided at all costs. Had a minor accident and while discussing with police officer inside of his car (it was cold) Beeline swooped in an towed the car. When my free AAA tow truck came to change my tire it was gone. No one, me, AAA or the police had any idea where the car disappeared. It took the police a while to find out where it was. When I got to Beeline after work I found the car was destroyed. Since they didn't have my keys they had just dumped the car onto it's front end. When I went to the office they wanted $1000 for towing. What!!! $1000 to destroy my car. So I called State Farm and guess what? Within one minute the bill disappeared. But State Farm is going to have the last laugh. We have pictures of the car at the scene and we have pictures of the car hours later at Beeline and now State Farm is suing Beeline. I just got my papers to go to court today. I hope State Farm takes these guys out behind the woodshed and pulps them. They should get 100 negative stars for being scum. read more

They are unprofessional, rude, charge an astronomical price way above everyone else, are NOT 24/7 (they'll change you EVEN more after hours) and they have terrible customer service. This company takes advantage people's misfortune and does not care about their customers. They towed my car from the light by Liberty's tunnel to the Sandrof shop next to the tunnel (maybe a hundred yards away) and charged me over $500. Today I called Bee Line to haul a car, since they were the first business to show up on Google, and I expected reasonable service, and this is not what we received. Instead, we got a rather plump, hairy man, who was blunt and rude with us. He charged us $90 to drive four miles, and informed us our credit card was cancelled, even though it's still active. So I had to use my own credit card instead to pay the bill. He then opened the car hood and told us the fuse in the car was bad, even though multiple professionals told us it was the battery post. They also said to put the car in neutral, even though he could've done that himself. We paid for roughly $23 a mile, for a towing service, not a wannabe mechanic. We also did not receive a receipt, which is necessary for insurance. If you desire a rude, unhelpful, lazy service that overcharges for basic assistance, then Bee Line is right for you. My college for a weekend guest had her car towed from a lot she was told to park in upon arrival. After immediately calling Bee Line, they told us to come to their office to pick up their car. When we arrived, there was nobody here, so we called and told us we would have to wait no more than 15 minutes. After waiting over 15 minutes and hearing from nobody, we called again and were told it would be 10 more minutes. I am enraged that we had to wait over 30 minutes and were told an incorrect fee amount over the phone. I am not pleased. read more

When you try to get information they constantly tell you to call back or inform that nobody can help. When you find they towed your car...they say if you don't get it immediately you will be charged a 60 dollar overnight storage fee. So if you can meet their demands immediately be prepared for huge fees...but if they waste your time...sorry...it's only your time. I broke down just west of Lynchburg late one night heading toward Roanoke. We called several companies from the side of the road and no one was able to help me because the size of my truck (Dodge Ram 2500, Quad Cab). Got the number for Bee Line and they were very responsive and showed up about 20 minutes after I called them. The driver was professional and seemed to know what he was doing. He let us ride with him to drop the truck off at the shop. He didn't want to leave us on the side of 460 after midnight. I had two issues, the first was that no one seemed to be able to recommend a diesel shop to take my truck to that night. I would think that most Tow companies would have at least a suggestion. The second was the cost was rather high for a 6 mile tow, but at 12:30am in the morning, I was just happy to be off the side of 460. read more

I have had several encounters with Beeline Towing and all of them have been negative. Beeline is, what is commonly referred to as a "Predatory Towing" company. In other words they sign a contract with to service a lot and then find any excuse they can to tow cars so they can hold them hostage unless huge fees are paid.. Many state, VA not included, will prosecute a tow company for these practices. In my first encounter with Beeline they removed a vehicle I had parked in my numbered spot, at my own apartment, for having expired tags. They charged me several hundred dollars to get the vehicle back. In the 2nd encounter they towed a friend of mine's car and demanded Shylock levels of payment to get the vehicle out of Impound. They squeeze by the VA state mandated $135 maximum fee for a local tow by charging astronomical "Administrative Fees" and an extra $40 to get anything you need out of your own vehicle. The owner communicates poorly and retains a juvenile attitude in his dealings with customers; he does not seem to possess good customer service or a caring attitude towards those he deals with. This owner would do well to be reminded that honesty and ethics should come first, and reconsider the greed that his moral compass seems to point him to. Don't let the flashy trucks and advertisements fool you, there are plenty of ethical towing companies around that don't use their ill-gotten gains to promote themselves as a quality service. Stay away from Bee Line Towing at all costs!!! They are what is termed a "predatory towing company" because they step beyond the boundaries out of the law to take advantage a lot of people in order to secure a bigger profit for themselves. Recently, I had a very unfortunate encounter of Bee Line that cost close to $500! It had been raining, & when I tried to turn left onto a side street where another car was taking up much of the road, I had to swing slightly to the right to avoid the car. One back tire hit a small hole that is on the border between the street & road. Very quickly, because of the rain, the hole then gave in - just like it was a sinkhole. Before I knew it, the back tire was completely engulfed in the hole. I got out of the car to look at the growing hole in the ground, & I then called AAA. Unfortunately, before I could finish giving the AAA rep all of my information, the police showed up & demanded I end the call. The officer then called Bee Line, & she wouldn't allow me to call AAA because she thought they may take to long. We waited over an hour for the Bee Line tow truck to show up. In less than five seconds, he pulled the call from the ditch. After he was over, he told me I needed to give him $300 but that he wouldn't take the check. I told him I had to take my groceries home, & the police lady followed to collect the money for Bee Line. But we did not have it at the time. So she went back to get the tow driver & accompanied him to to our house. Oh my gosh, he was RUDE & very demanding. Finally, after pressuring us for a long time, he hooked the car to his tow truck & put it on his lot until we could pay him the full amount of over $509 by that point. He charged daily enormous storage fees for every day we didn't have the money to pick it up. After several days, a friend loaned is a credit card number to get the car, & the fee was ENORMOUS by this point. AAA picked the car up for us & brought it to us, & he was very furious at Bee Lind for taking advantage of us. He said that he has seen multiple cases in which Bee Line broke the laws on how much they can charge a customer. This driver from Buster Towing - a wonderful company based on my interactions with then - said that he would have definitely pulled my car from the sinkhole if he had passed by me or had been called. I hade read many other nightmare complaints about Bee Line, similar to our own. So avoid this crooked company at all costa!!!! read more

My daughter's car broke down in my driveway the afternoon of her first day back to work after maternity leave, when she stopped by to pick up her boys. The following day I called the car dealership to see if they could pick up the car and repair it. That's when I learned that dealerships don't have tow trucks. The dealership did, however, recommend Bee Line Transportation and Towing. I gave Bee Line's name to my daughter's insurance company, and they already had all of their information in their system as a company they worked with in this area. The insurance company worked with Bee Line and within 30 minutes Bee Line was at my house! It was a female driver--I believe her name was Christa. She asked permission if she could pull her truck in my driveway to get my daughter's car, which I thought was nice a nice courtesy. I suppose there are people who are particular about their driveways. Anyway, my five-year-old grandson (who is fascinated with trucks) stood outside with me and watched Christa hook up my daughter's car. Christa was so sweet to him. She explained everything she was doing and showed him the remote control she had and how it worked. I took some pictures of him watching Christa, and Christa made sure that we were at a safe distance at all times, which was nice. So, the car made it safely to the dealership. We are very pleased with the company, their employee, and the service we received. BTW, the truck was extremely clean and Christa was in a nice clean uniform. Kudos to Christa for a great job on a 100° day! read more
