I brought the tires and trailer to the shop located just on the edge of town. This place is busy! The young lady working the desk was courteous and helpful. She did all the paperwork to get the work order started. They were quick. They had the tires mounted in no time at all. They have a customer area with coffee and a TV while you wait. When they were doing the tires we noticed I had a tail light not working. They installed a bulb - and checked the other lights !! Thats service. Their prices are great too. I found them very reasonable. The staff was awesome and friendly. Everyone was so helpful. They also do other automotive work. This place is a gem. I had a lot of grinding coming from the left front of my truck, called them, and Hailey (great customer service btw) said to bring it down. The guys working there were test driving it in 20 minutes and pulled it into the garage. They let me know my wheel bearing was shot. They said they could fit me into their schedule even though they were busy. They fixed it for me in under two hours total. You can tell these guys care about their customers as they were not going to let me leave with an unsafe truck (their words).They also were more than fairly priced. Thank you Haymaker team! Took my car in early morning Saturday and let them know of my conundrum. Our service manager was Brandon H. and he really took care of us. He quickly diagnosed the problem and worked with the technician to get us repaired immediately, despite not having an appointment. We were in crisis mode and the folks at Mac could have taken full advantage of the situation. They did not, they were beyond accommodating and beyond fair in what they charged for the repair. I was truly humbled by their humanity in dealing with our situation. We are forever grateful. The mechanic, Ben, fixed the problem properly and we were able to trek the 4 hour drive home without incident. On 11/20/24, the "AAlways Hookin Towing and Tire" proved me wrong. In the late afternoon of the 20th, I found myself with a flat tire and no spare. Prior to its failure, I was aware that it had to be replaced and had purchased a used tire. Two tire places in Powhatan had already turned me down flat, and actually seemed annoyed that I was bringing my own tire. So at 4:30pm, in a last ditch effort to get back on the road, I called AAhookin' Cindy answered the phone and patiently listened as I told my sad tale. She asked what time I could be there and said even though closed, she would have someone come over and help me. I thought "Im sorry, what?" thinking I had heard her wrong. I had not. Justin arrived just as I did and immediately started to work. He came back out a few minutes later with the sad news that the tire I had purchased was defective and could not be used. They had no other suitable tire in the Powhatan Store, but He was certain there was one in the Gum Springs Location. So I entrusted my rim to him and went home. The next morning I call to see if Justin had found time to look for a used tire for me. He had looked, retrieved, mounted and balanced the thing and it was ready to go. I thanked Cindy and explained I would have to find a ride to get the tire and would call her back with a pickup time. WITHOUT A PAUSE SHE ASKED "WHERE DO YOU LIVE?" followed by "YOU DONT NEED TO FIND A RIDE WE WILL JUST DELIVER IT YOU". And that is exactly what they did. 1: OPENED A CLOSED SHOP AND HAD JUSTIN DRIVE OVER FROM GUM SPRINGS . 2. WHEN THAT TIRE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED, JUSTIN FOUND A TIRE AND GOT IT READY BY 830AM. 3.WHEN SHE LEARNED I WAS IN NEED OF A RIDE, CINDY HAD JUSTIN CLOSE THE SHOP IN GUM SPRINGS AND HAND DELIVER THAT TIRE TO ME. HE EVEN PUT IT ON.I know this is long winded, but honestly have never, ever had this level of customer service.It was amazing and I cant thank Cindy and Justin enough. I can think of a dozen businesses that should send their staff to this lady so she can shoiw them what true customer service should look like. And after asking around about here, I understand she is without a doubt one of the most skilled and proficient Tow Drivers in our area. If you have read this and dont use them, you NUTS.
