A day later, I was sent a text that if I send another $1,000 today I'd receive a "paid in full" receipt. I declined the offer and glad I did. I didn't receive a valid contract, no Bill of Laden, or Know My Rights as required by law. In short, I requested a refund after more upfront money was demanded. The company is refusing to refund my $850 even though no work was completed. In a conversation with Chris Wilson he said, "Thanks for donating to my boys." This seems to be the rule and not the exception for this company as other complaints also involve large deposits he doesn't refund. Upon further research, Divine Movers, has a F rating by the Better Business Bureau and is also unauthorized to move household goods by the Federal Motor Carrier Administration.

We looked at the map of the building on line and no elevator shafts were noted only stairs we panicked and we left and of course I needed my money back the next day. They're refunding all of it but $25 admin fee, which is still wrong. They need to correct their maps for when no one's there so that they can be guided instead of trying to walk all through the building wondering if there's an elevator. I want my $25 back also.

After emails with the owner and manager, I came in to drop my car off. The lovely lady working inside did all she could to make sure the paperwork was squared away, and that I wouldn't miss my impending flight and Uber that was waiting for me. The process took longer than anticipated but she was super helpful getting everything done efficiently and confidently so I was able to park my car and make my 3rd attempt at an Uber for pickup to the airport. She even helped moved my bags into the Uber's trunk. I could not be more grateful for her help and confident in the Save Green team. If you are wondering if you should rent, I would recommend it. It is pricer but the facility is very nice, clean, easy to maneuver and at least the people I have interacted with so far are great.

And since it was 9:30 pm, I was in a pretty disadvantageous situation for any chance at completing my Sunday 3 pm move. (2 hour job of just a few pieces). The next day, bellhops called me again to tell me I was still on the schedule for two men and no truck. That's a hard pass. Just disjointed and unprofessionally handled. Tech is great when it works. Otherwise, you're not improving or disrupting anything. The dude who actually completed my move from another company didn't have fancy tech, but he and his guy AND TRUCK showed up on time and did great work. That's worth more than an app or gimmick. I received estimates from Chapel Hill Moving Company for packing in two stages. The packers arrived on time and were polite and friendly. They were at my home for three hours. The final charge for the initial packing (including materials) was extremely high. When I spoke with Ethan, the owner of the company, he was condescending and rude to me. It became evident to me that while the company provides estimates, the actual charges at the end of the job are at or beyond the high end. Interestingly, there are other reviews that also mention the high cost of Chapel Hill Moving Company. I will be using a different company for the second packing stage and for moving, while hoping that the packing was done professionally and carefully. I recommend that others use a different packing and moving company that is reliable, professional, and (as importantly) cost-effective. Moving is too expensive to overpay when the company knows it can get away with it.
