New to Austin, but not new to Fastsigns. I'm from San Diego and have used Fastsigns for many…read moreprojects over the years so I was really pleased to see they are located here when I first arrived. Simply, I had a job I needed done and couldn't get it done before I left San Diego. And the job I need done, typically is very small and Fastsigns has a minimum order price. Again, having been to Fastsigns many times in the past, I'm familiar with that so it didn't come as a surprise when they told me this. What was disturbing is their minimum is $100! As I said, I've been going to Fastsigns for years and in San Diego, they also have a minimum order price but it's only $50. I mentioned this to the person helping me and he told me that must have been awhile ago and I let him know in fact it was their price last week! To that he really didn't have anything to say. My job was to have two decals printed out, and again, I understand the minimum order price but $100 is absurd. I'm a business owner and I have set prices as well. However, I can also modify a price when I realize it's inappropriate for the job requested. In fact, the last time I had this done in San Diego, they made the decals for me right on the spot for no charge because it was such a small and simple order. Certainly, I don't expect something for free, but to grossly overcharge me is not a business I want to ever use again. And since this is something I've done before, I knew the work involved so it isn't about the work or the materials. There is no way this job was worth $100 but unfortunately, I am stuck and need this. Unfortunately, I needed to match a color and font before I had the job done and wasn't able to get those until I arrived in Texas, otherwise I would have done this in San Diego. Yes, I agreed to the $100 minimum charge but I tried to explain how this is twice as much as the last Fastsigns I went to and as a Veteran, I find this work ethic the type I want to avoid and you too might want to think twice before coming here.
