I attempted to order a 6'x2' banner on 7/23 for an upcoming event on 8/9. They were having a special for July where banners and such were half price! I spoke with a friend of mine who ordered a banner a week previous and had great things to say about these guys! I thought it was a win-win for sure, $24 banner and a great review!! Well fast forward to 8/7 when I decided to call to see what was going on with my order. I had ordered the banner online and had received a confirmation via email with my order information and a link to view the details about my order. My thinking is that being an online purchase I would be able to see the progress of my order and be notified via email when it was ready. I was getting worried when all I continued to see was "order processing " and "proof approved ". When I called the store I spoke with a salesman who had no idea what I was talking about but said he would look into it for me! I though "nice guy and great CS so far!" About 2 hours later he called me back and said that they have been trying to get in touch with me and have left VM's saying that the file I sent wouldn't work and it would make the banner come out blurry. I will take partial blame for that lack of communication since I tend to get more than my share of spam calls because my cell phone is tied to the business. I did mention to the salesman that maybe they should implement a series of check downs to contact the customer in case via phone isn't working. My notes on the order stated that I would need the banner by 8/6 to make sure I was ready to go for my event. If I hadn't added that portion to the order I probably would take more of the blame but something as simple as a text or even an email asking me to send another file is all I would ask for. It's something I do for my customers on the daily and feel it's necessary for this day and age. The sales guy said he wouldn't be able to rush it same day even if I got the new file in. I get it and wouldn't expect them to bend over backwards for a one and done $24 banner. I asked for a refund and the sales guy asked me to email the design side for that. I did so promptly and still haven't heard anything. Long story short, make sure you do what you can to CYA and do more research on places you want to do biz with. I'm a huge fan of keeping my $$ local and will continue to do so, just not at SignDepot Update: Fernando did reach out to me literally within 30 minutes of posting my review and he said he would be issuing me a refund ASAP. That ASAP has turned into over 30 days of waiting for a $24 refund. It's not about the $$, it's about doing the right thing. So far he has failed on both counts. Not holding my breath to get the $24 back. Buyer beware, especially if you have more than $24 invested with these guys!! read more

Here where it goes horrible: Don't believe anything they tell you. Whether it is materials, proofs, or most importantly timelines. Their word is not worth the paper it is written of. Speaking of which, if by any means you chose to work with this company (which you shouldn't, go work with someone with a real reputation) make sure you document and outline every small detail on anything you sign. I wanted to update my previous review because this sign shop is still putting out great products with great service. In the past few months I built a line of Emergency Communication Trailers through my work. We needed all of the proper warning signage but weren't really sure when the trailers would be ready to have the signage installed on them. These guys are awesome. They drew up the signs according to OSHA compliance and held them until the trailers were ready. I gave them only 1 day's notice and they were able to come down and install onsite. And the cost? That's the best part. Totally reasonable. Much more so than the "customize it online" sites that I priced out first. If you need something done fast and done right, I would definitely call this local sign spot. read more

TERRIBLE COMPANY!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!! THEY STEAL FROM THEIR CLIENTS!!! I was over charged and it was the sales rep that messed up and over charged me. He told me all the prices on the website were wrong so I had no clue what the price was supposed to be. They didn't even tell me they overcharged me until I called inquiring about how much something else might cost and then at that point they made me aware of the credit on my account. When I asked to be refunded they refused. So basically they stole $20 from me. As I didn't want to waste the money they took from me and refused to refund me, I had to order something I didn't need or want so I didn't feel completely ripped off as I'm moving to Houston in 3 weeks and would never have used this credit otherwise. Super pissed. It's my money, and their mess up. They had no right to tell me I couldn't have MY money back. I want to make sure everyone knows how scummy this company is. Do not use them!! Horrible product too. Not worth everything I went through with them. If I were staying in Austin, I'd never use them again. Terrible, horrible company. Horrible customer service. They made me feel like crap for wanting a refund of the money they stole from me. So beyond furious. I will not stop until everyone knows they steal money from people. Contacted these guys about getting some graphics done for my work vehicle. The guy i spoke to initially was very nice and i enjoyed talking with him. Spent 5 minutes talking about my project, he never took my name or phone number but did take my email address and advised me that a salesperson named jason would be in touch. He said he was going to email me a list of the info that they would need in order to give me a quote. I'm certain that he had my email address right as he read it back to me very carefully, however, its been over a week now and still no contact. Checked my spam box, nothing there. I wasn't going to bother with contacting anyone else for a quote because the guy i talked to was so nice, and i had a good feeling about this business, but now i guess I'll start calling some other places. I almost feel a little bad about not calling to find out what happened instead of leaving a bad review, but if you cant manage to send a simple email or follow up on a phone call, what other problems can i expect?
