The rooms are surprisingly cheap and when you step into your hut, you feel like you got a steal! Our hit was gigantic and overlooked the beautiful green hills. Our room came with a hot tub and separate shower. The amenities were exceptional, all manuka honey. The bed was comfy and the owner of the resort was super friendly! The only complaint was that the bathroom didn't have a door so nothing was romantic in that department. However, it's not enough of a problem to take off a star. I truly loved this place!

Okay, it wasn't all that quiet, but it certainly wasn't particularly packed as well, and I also discovered that there were a couple of nice beers on tap, something that I wasn't quiet expecting when it comes to pubs that happened to be in the country. The other cool thing is that it is also across the road from the railway station, which basically means that you can hang out here while waiting for the train to arrive.

However the accounting salad had too much raw onion. My dining companion who had the eye fillet found it over cooked when he asked for medium. But the steak accompaniments of mash, pepper sauce and steamed vegies were good. Our friend who had the Barramundi found it completely inadequate. The fish was not crisp fried as promised, was perhaps precooked and reheated? And the salad had again too much raw onion. the whole dish was drenched in unidentifiable white type sauce. Much of this was left. The drinks were good, especially the sommersby pear cider. Would we return, probably not, but if you need a feed then something to consider.
