My two children started with B2S three years ago and I've never been so impressed by Jennifer and her group of extremely talented and professional instructors. She eased my children's initial fears of swimming and now they are at a level I myself have never achieved. They literally have better skills and better form than I do and I grew up swimming in our backyard pool and we lived within walking distance to the lake, where I spent countless hours swimming. She has always been eager to work out a schedule that will work for our busy family since both children have different activities they are involved in. The one on one instruction is something that I feel B2S excels in. The instructor has always spent time explaining different swim activities and why it's important that the children master those activities. I can say my kids actually have learned an immense amount of different skills and they each know why, and can explain to you the importance of that skill when it comes to swimming. An example of how well the B2S team works is that my youngest fell into the water shortly after lessons had begun,instead of panicking like she had before, she immediately went into auto-pilot and rolled and took a breath, which is exactly what one of the first lessons are all about. If it weren't for my daughter being in B2S, I know for certain that panic would have taken over and she very well could have drowned, especially if she were all alone outside. The prices are very reasonable for one on one instruction and the patience of all of the B2S team is immense. From screaming toddlers afraid of going under water, to both of them begging to join the community swim team, that is obviously a sign of excellent instruction. They are ethusiastic about swimming now, whereas before they were apprehensive (as most children are before proper swim instruction is given). I would absolutely and have recommend Jennifer and Beginners 2 Swimmers as almost a requirement for any child who is ever around a pool of their own or their relatives, or just as a right of passage by living in Houston and the knowledge that almost everyone here swims. Her group is wonderful and I'm proud to say that my children were taught by the best that this city has to offer. We have been sending our daughter for semi-private lessons with Beginners 2 Swimmers for over a year now. I have been impressed with all of the teachers (I usually stay and watch her lessons), and especially the two that she has had. Our daughter's progress has been amazing - in the year that she has been taking continuous lessons she has become more comfortable and confident in the pool, is really starting to use skills that she is being taught and constantly wants to practice what she has learned when we take her swimming. After seeing her progress, we started our son in the Mommy and Me class in the Spring and have continued through the summer and into the Fall. His progress has been slower, but we have seen him become more comfortable in the water, and isn't afraid to put his face in, blow bubbles, etc... Overall, we have been very pleased with the skills and progress of each of our children and plan to continue giving them lessons year around. read more

Very professional and experienced swim instructors!! My daughter was a bit intimidated by the water, and Jennifer and her instructors set her mind at ease and worked with her to get her comfortable in the water and now she loves to swim! Jennifer worked with me on my daughters schedule, and spent personal one-on-one time with me discussing her progress and her swim goals and how to achieve them. Jennifer and her staff are awesome and have been nothing but professional and courteous with me. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows in their enthusiasm adn the results that come out of their lessons! We moved to Houston last summer and my two girls, aged 6 and 5, have been swimming here every weekend since. They both love their teacher and can't wait for swimming lessons each weekend. One of them was already swimming and has made excellent progress with her strokes, the other has learnt to swim since being in this class. They are now both confident, happy swimmers. I have also found the communication vis email to be excellent. If there is ever any cancellations due to the weather an email is always sent out well before the class and there is always an option to do a make up. My girls have had private lessons this summer at Beginners 2 Swimmers (Evergreen pool in Bellaire). They are 3 and 5 -now 6, and both have done so well and improved their skills. We are continuing with fall lessons to cement their progress. They really like Mr. Keith, their instructor. He's great with kids - challenges them all while being funny and keeping their attention. Very nice young man and really good swim instructor. Jennifer has been very good with scheduling and staying in communication. We have been with jennifer and her team for over 3 yrs. With three kids to schedule, she has been flexible working with us. We have had consistent teaching with our older kids. There has been some turnover with younger instructors in part because jennifer has appropriate expectations for reliability and ability of the instructors working with her; she is not afraid to let someone go if appropriate. We arrived in Houston and started using Beginners to swimmers in Aug 2012. I find the whole team professional, friendly and excellent with children of all ages and swim strengths. The kids are encouraged and Jennifer is not only an excellent teacher but welcoming and professional to the utmost. very positive experience as my 3 year old has gone from being timid about swimming to a happy beginner swimmer. Enrolled my 2 year old, and teacher has been patient but firm about water safety. He is floating and safely going under water. Teacher is also an advocate for health and safety and has cancelled lessons (with notice) when the community pool chemicals were lacking or the temperature too cold for little ones comfort. My son has been taking swim lessons for a few years now and has never came on so well since we joined the classes! We swim on a Wednesday in a semi-private lesson with one other girl and I find Jennifer in particular to be profession, friendly and has a definate way with the children.
