She was so patient, kind, calm, and truly has a passion for what she does. Throughout the pregnancy, she was very good about checking in, seeing if I needed help with anything, and providing a wonderful binder with tons of helpful resources for pregnancy, labor, breastfeeding, and surviving the first few weeks with the baby. During my labor (20 plus hours), she helped advocate for me, give me options, and was unbelievably patient. After my baby came out and needed to go to NICU with my husband, I was very emotionally overwhelmed and alone.... without even a question she stuck by my side and helped calm me down. She was with us for probably 24 hours during my labor and was so patient and calm the entire time. After my labor, I had difficulty with breastfeeding, and out of panic reached out to her asking for help after a particularly rough night. I had tried to google and research things on my own but was so overwhelmed with conflicting information. Ashley kept it simple, straightforward, and again met me and my panic with patience and helpful advice. I truly don't know how I would have gotten through my pregnancy, labor, and postpartum experience without her.

Stacey is hands down the best! When I decided to hire a doula for my labor and delivery I…read moreinterviewed 5 ladies before I met Stacey. From our first interaction I knew she would be the one by my side during such a special time in my life. Stacey is not only experienced and wise in her practice, but her caring personality shines through every part of her work. She was available to answer any of my questions leading up to the birth, she anticipated every one of my needs during labor, and she made sure me and my son were off to a great start at our post natal apt. I would highly recommend Stacey to any woman wanting an exception experience during their birth. I know I will be calling her for any future kiddos I have!

From the minute my husband and I met her we instantly felt comfortable in her presence and we both naturally gravitated towards her, she seemed like someone we would have been friends with for years. Looking back on the entire experience, I know I would not have been able to do it without her. I ended up having a natural birth and Stacey was there to help me through it all. There were several times that I did not believe in myself or think I could do it and Stacey knew exactly what to say and knew exactly what to do to help make me feel mentally strong and physically better. I have told all my friends about Stacey and strongly encourage them to use her when they decide to have a baby. I know for sure my husband and I will be calling on Stacey when we go to have baby number two. Stacey is incredibly knowledgable and so easy to relate to and get along with, I was able to be completely myself with her and was able to talk with her like I'd known her for years. I was so happy to have her by my side when the nurses asked me questions or advised me on things that I wasn't sure about. Knowing Stacey's resume, background and years of experience I knew I could trust in her advise and opinion. I knew she was looking out for what was best for me and that ultimately it was my decision but she was there to help me understand all my options. All in all, my husband and I would have paid five times as much to have Stacey there, she truly was so amazing. Thank you Stacey!

The uncertainty of military life, and our family being a few states away contributed to our original decision to search for a doula. I wanted to try for a natural birth, but knew that if my husband happened to be away and my family support team was still a flight away, it would be difficult. While the birth didn't quite go as I had planned (our little acrobat turned breech at 39 weeks), we were as prepared as we could have been. During our pre-natal visits Jenn talked about options and choices we may have whether the birth was natural or not and encouraged us to have a C-section plan prepped, in addition to our best case plan. Little did we know that would be necessary when the day finally came. Not only did Jenn provide the consistency I needed, but her emotional support and knowledge prior to, during, and after the birth was incredible. Her help didn't end when she left the hospital the day our daughter was born. She continues to provide post-natal support- for example, after a conversation about breastfeeding issues, she sent me additional resources to help solve a bad latch. Working with Jenn was a great decision for us and I highly recommend you consider her as your doula!

Jen and the new doula met with us prior to giving birth and that was pretty much the only contact we had prior to the main event (aside from the bills that came monthly). They went over the birth plan and left. You're billed for eight hours of labor so we waited to call them. When we did, the new doula showed up and it felt like he was there to just watch me give birth - no coping techniques, no suggestions, no coaching. My husband actively tried to help - get me in the tub, put me in the shower, rub my back, grab tools for me, etc. - and the doula mostly watched and assisted my husband in moving me from shower to bed or bed to tub. My husband ended up sending him home and not calling him back. We were billed for a postpartum follow-up (in addition to prenatal care and labor). We didn't bother getting in touch with them postpartum as my husband got quite a bit of time off but Jen contacted me a couple weeks later about the postpartum visit. It had been described as a one hour visit that could help to answer any questions, or even just hold baby while I threw lunch together (very vague). When Jen contacted me about a time I mentioned "I could really use help at this time" and my husband would be present for the time she suggested. She said that was okay because they were only stopping by to have me fill out a form.. She showed up while my husband and I were prepping dinner and was more annoying than anything. I'm kicking myself for not being more upfront on the review sheet she had me fill out. Overall, it was a waste of a lot of money ($850) and I would not recommend to anyone in the area.
