I have long been a fan of B& B Peds since their early days being located on Columbia Ave. Both of my kids were treated here throughout their youth and now they are treating my grandson. What sets them apart from other doctors is they really care, listen to your concerns, and for the most part are very accessible. They are a smaller practice and don't have some big hospital affiliation calling the shots. While some doctors take more of an interest than others, it's nice when you can build up a relationship with one doctor. In our case that provider has been Mr. Garcia. He's hands on, very personable, and takes his times to address all of your concerns. He's also very down to earth. Both of my kids thought he was a cool dude, and as a mom I did too. I also appreciated that if I needed to reach him by phone I could leave a message and he would call back without always requiring a visit. They have a nurse line as well that usually is prompt in getting back to you for times when you aren't sure you need a visit or a call from the doctor. One unnamed nurse always seems miserable but she's really not when you get to know her but has resting bitch face. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I always had to call multiple times for referrals. You always get an answering machine and even when I requested acknowledgement I rarely got it. I think they just have Kerry (in referrals) working on too many things at a time because otherwise she's great. Also while I don't have first hand experience with this I had a co-worker who was "kicked out" of the practice for not paying a co-pay. She claimed no one ever called or sent her a bill. Even when she tried to make good and offered to pay additional to cover their inconvenience they still refused to see her daughter. Again no first hand experience with this but worth mentioning. I have and will continue to recommend them to anyone looking for a local pediatrician. read more

I've been taking my 2 children here for a while and resfuse to go back.. the medical team is mediocre at best you have to ask 20 questions to have one answered.. the front office is so rude always have an attutude it's so unprofessional it's unbelievable i asked to have my childrens records transferred they didn't even send their entire history i had to call again and have them send the missing information and when i did call the lady was so rude and had an attitude i can not believe these people have jobs.... read more

Dr. Laube and Dr. Brosbe have been my children's pediatricians since the day they were born. My son had serious behavioral problems and they were with us every step of the way. They've always listened to me and I love them. After almost 14 years, I feel I know them and they know everything about my kids. Mr. Garcia is also phenomenal and we love the girls in the office, too. I can call Carrie, give her my first name, and she knows exactly who I am. This is typically unheard of in a busy office, but they care enough to get to know the whole family. We moved almost an hour away, and we've been traveling an hour to their office for every visit, because I wouldn't trust anyone else with my children's health. read more

This office is amazing. They always get my children in for appointments as soon as possible. The front desk is very kind and helpful. All the nurses and doctors work very carefully with my son who was born with many medical issues. All the doctors, physician assistants, and staff are genuinely concerned and take their time to find the root of all my children's medical needs. They make great suggestions for specialists for my children's needs. They are so knowledgeable and make great recommendations. They also get back to me quickly after hours when my children are sick. read more

I'd advise any parent to NOT bring their child to Beittel-Becker. The lack of communication here is unreal. Nurses often act like robots, never engaging in small talk and even worst never explaining why they're asking certain questions while usually giving off an unfriendly demeanor. They'll silently check your child without saying a peep or sharing your child's measurements etc. unless you ask. I'm sure working with kids is probably quite exhausting, but as a medical professional dealing with children, please smile and make people feel comfortable. Parents, if you bring your child here make sure you ask all the questions you have and don't let anyone make you feel silly or crazy; you have every right without being judged. Also, please keep an eye on what's being administered both medically and with billing. They gave an extra dose of a vaccine and never explained why until my husband called because we noticed it in my child's medical record. Also, my husband has had a few issues with the billing side and the office manager is just as unpleasant as a lot of the medical staff. We just transferred my child to another pediatric practice after being at Beittel-Becker for way too long. I'm mad we didn't leave sooner because I've been weary of this place since our first visit. My husband and I brought our newborn to the first pediatric visit 5 days after giving birth and Dr. Brosbe confused the DOB and thought our baby was a month old. Brosbe lectured us and gave us formula even though I was trying to exclusively breastfeed. I was hormonal and being a new parent, I truly thought I had done something wrong so I just cried and followed her recommendations. In Brosbe's arrogance, she sent us to get lab tests and it was then at the lab that Brosbe's error became evident. She essentially advised us as if we had a one month old weighing less than the birth weight. Mind you, we went over her DOB and I told her I gave birth 5 days previously. Additionally, she judged us based off of how we looked and assumed we would be using WIC - two parents who work hard and have never depended on government assistance. Our baby is great and healthy thankfully, but the experience left a lot to be desired. Do yourself a favor and really look into pediatric practices until you find one that feels right and treats your child with the best care. If you do come here, I recommend only seeing Mr. Garcia, one of the PAs as he's the best out of the group. I'm convinced he's the only reason we stayed as long as we did. read more

We've been coming here for 10 years. They know us when we walk in. Everyone there is super nice and I've never had a problem getting a nurse on the phone to talk about an issue. I love that I can get my daughter in the same day if she is sick. read more

For vaccines and such simple items. Fine. Otherwise, take your child to another doctor. I should have learned from the first time these doctors let me down. My daughter was attacked by a dog and her face was badly scratched but looked worse than it ultimately ended up being. We were waiting at an urgent care when Beittel-Becker got back to us and told us to bring her over. We thought "great" her actual doctor will check this out. They took one look - didn't even touch or check the marks on her face and told us to "go to the ER, they have the pros to stitch such a wound." We go to the ER and the doctor takes one look, pulls on the cut and says "she's fine, why did you come here? We'll just clean the cut and you can keep Neosporin on it, she's young so the scar will get better quickly as she grows." Second, found out yesterday after taking my son to an ENT to have his hearing checked out since he is a delayed talker - he is 3 yrs and 3 months old. He takes one look in his ears and says "yes, he has fluid in both years, it probably sounds like he's under water". How can you learn to speak properly if all you hear is muffled by fluid in your ear?! We had asked directly of the doctors at Beittel-Becker if there were any issues with his ears or hearing and nothing, no concern at all. We had to ask directly for a referral to an ENT once we were finally told by one of our speech specialist we had been talking to, to make sure we check on that again. read more

My daughter has been a patient here for about 5 years, since she was just 2 years old. I contact them today to get her records for daycare. I'm told, by email, that she is no longer a patient there. According to them, we have had an outstanding bill for $145 for a year. Mind you, she HAS been there within the past 6 months. According to them, they sent out a couple of notices. Since they went unpaid she is no longer a patient and cannot EVER come back! I asked why did I not receive ONE phone call? I would have paid it then and there! I admit, I am not the best at keeping track of bills, but I would never skip out on a justified bill! And to punish my child for this? JUST HORRIBLE. I still can't believe it. Just stunned. read more
