I stumbled upon Carrousel du Louvre after exiting the Louvre itself. I was looking to exit, and…read morelike many an attraction, I fell upon retail. But seriously, this is essentially a shopping mall that it attached to the museum. Since we were here, we decided to check it out and see if there were any shops worth exploring.
Carrousel isn't that large - there's a combination of known branded stores and independent shops. The latter are mostly souvenir shops from what I've seen - and since I was a tourist I browsed a few. Several shops have Louve merch, and there's also a sizable food court.
With easy access to the museum itself, the metro, and the attractions on Rue Rivoli, the Carrousel is in a prime spot for tourists and locals to visit. It wasn't the most exciting shopping experience IMO, but worth exploring if you're in the area.
