From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us in Italian, setting the tone for a meal that truly felt like a quick escape to Italy -- right in the middle of Madrid. We were two people and started with the octopus carpaccio, which was thinly sliced and delicately flavored. A refined, elegant way to open the evening. Then came the "2 Hot 2 Handle" pizza -- the dough was perfect, and the flaming peperoncino not only added a fiery kick but made for a dramatic tableside moment. We also ordered the "La Carbonmamma" pasta, and added a portion of fresh truffle. What a treat. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the truffle was shaved fresh over the top -- aromatic, slightly crunchy, and an absolute delight. To drink, we had an Aperol Spritz and a beer -- simple, classic choices that paired well with the meal. The service was impeccable -- warm, attentive, and with just the right touch of flair. Best italian restaurant in Madrid, hands down. It is imperative that you make a reservation. This restaurant gets packed for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere is great. Decor is elegant and chill at the same time. Everything we ordered was mind-blowing good. Appetizers were smoked stracciatela and the vitelo tonnato that was so good. (Delicious) The pasta star was malfadinne al tartufo, and the pizza Margherita But literally, you can order anything. It will be delicious. They have a great wine list, and the kitchen works like a Swiss watch. It's definitely worth coming here, and I would definitely recommend eating at this restaurant. 2 thumbs up. read more

This place reminds me of Dolly Parton's restaurant in Nashville. One of the rooms is hot pink and the rooftop is covered with flowers. We loved the decor and atmosphere The food ended up being amazing as well. We had a burrata appetizer The famous cheese pasta (carbomomma) which was creamy and delicious Pizza was very thin and truly Italian style. This restaurant was a good switch up from all of the Spanish food we had. The service was good as well. I would suggest making a reservation as they were pretty busy when we went on Wednesday for lunch so I imagine it's packed on the weekend read more

Overall, Bel Mondo is good. Obviously super cute ambience, perfect for a date night or girls night out. Lots of cozy lights, greenery, and plenty of thoughtful, cute decor! The food was above average Italian, better than what you will find at Luigi's but at still a little lack luster for certain dishes.The meal was still worth it but did tend to be a little on the pricier side for a few menu items. I personally loved my dish, the ragú! Some of my family members weren't 100% pleased with their meals, but everything was decent! This was the BEST restaurant I've eaten at in all of Spain. For starters, it had the most beautiful aesthetic. From the elegant color scheme to the greenery throughout, dining here felt like a dream. I split the Carbomomma with my two friends. It came inside a cheese wheel, which was insane! We also tried one of their pizzas, which was equally as impressive. Definitely one of the best meals I've ever had... I will definitely eat here again and recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. read more

This place is really chic and well decorated. The illumination and the setting changes by area: They have an outdoor patio which is very cozy and gives you the feeling of being in an italian terrace. They also have an indoor area which is where I had the pleasure of dining. The food is delicious and the area very well decorated. Though I think it is a bit expensive for the quality of the food, It is definitely more the boom of being the "it place" than the actual experience. The servers do speak in a fake italian accent that's sometimes funnier than it is the experience. The food is very good, don't get me wrong but it is nothing extraordinary. Reservations have to be made way in advance which makes it feel like it is going to be out of this world and creates a high expectation that it is hard to meet. When it comes to the overall experience I liked it but it is nothing for me to go crazy about. Do take a lot of pictures in the place because it is decorated nicely. read more
