This past Thursday (March 26, 2026), I was looking for a quote on long needle pine straw to be delivered. I was going to spread it myself. After contacting several other companies and looking at various comments and reviews on NextDoor and Facebook Marketplace, I called and spoke with Mike Valdes. We discussed price and delivery. 2 hours later, he backed his trailer down our curvy driveway like an expert and I was ready to get to work. I estimated that I needed 50 bales to spread. I underestimated by about 15-20 bales, so I'll be calling him again this week. The pine needles were really good quality. i have added his name and number to my favorites list - you should too. They have done a number of improvements in our yard over the last 10 years but the most recent was the most AMAZING. They did a very complicated repair related to recent Hurricane Helene damage. It was the most challenging circumstances --- a huge root ball removal. The root ball had pulled up a large portion of lake wall and there were all kinds of obstacles getting to the work area in the back yard at the edge of the lake. They "overcame" a fence, a water pump, three boulders that had to be moved with heavy equipment, a river rock bed, concrete border had to be cut and moved and who knows what else that I was not aware of. All of these obstacles were removed and replaced with expert care and the whole area is back to a NORMAL and pleasant look!!! Nicole even directed the repositioning of the huge boulders. We are thankful to this pair for their expert workmanship, attention to detail and respect for protecting the surrounding yard while doing this very difficult repair.
