Such a beautiful winery. The location is remote but very peaceful and beautiful. You can explore the property freely and dine wherever you want. Delicious pizza! The seasonal offering had grapes on it which I never imagined on a pizza but it was great.

Not a great experience and the wine and food were underwhelming. There was a wedding taking place the day we came so the inside was blocked off and the majority of the back was taken up by chairs which was expected. That was fine and understandable but when it was time for the bride to come out, we had staff rudely tell everyone at the winery to stay quiet for the entire duration of the outdoor ceremony. We understand that you'd want it to be quiet so you can hear the vows but why not section off the area you want to be quiet? I think the organization of people outside could have been handled a lot better to keep the regular winery visitors more separate from the wedding party so both wouldn't impact the expected environment. The food offered was in limited supply. They were out of quite a few items and they don't allow people to bring outside food or drinks. We settled for a charcuterie board and pizza. The pizza was simply not good. The closest thing I can compare it to is a frozen pizza. The charcuterie board was aright but there were barely any crackers for the amount of cheese and other elements they provided. There were so many flies and sweat bees outside that it was a constant battle to keep them away from the food and drinks. Eventually, they won. For drinking, we ordered the sweet wine tasting and that was not my favorite. The wines all tasted similar and didn't have enough distinction between them to really generate any sort of excitement or experience from it. They also had a water cooler outside for people to grab cups of water from. We refilled at the end of the barrel and there were a ton of black specs in our waters which was not appealing in the slightest.

This place is beautiful! They expect visitors to follow COVID regulations and safety measures, so I felt pretty safe enjoying my time here. All seating is outside and they wipe down the table and chairs before seating you. I've been here twice, and I'll probably make a couple more visits. All the wines I've tried are delicious and the food is good too. The Vineyard pizza is my favorite! Definitely make a reservation before going.

We really enjoyed our visit to Beliveau Estate Winery and we got to check another Virginia winery of of our long list of places to visit! The winery is tucked away in the mountain and has a bed and breakfast on site which would make for a nice weekend getaway. My significant other and I each tried I flight and shared so we got to try 8 different wines in total. We loved sitting outside and enjoying the fresh mountain air while tasting and ended up buying three bottles to take home with us.

Such a gorgeous location. We had a lovely afternoon here and had the good fortune of sitting at a table next to the friendly owners Joyce and Yvan Beliveau. We learned all about the vineyard and had a really nice time enjoying everything their vineyard had to offer, including really unique delicious wines (grapes grown at their property for over a decade) and even an awesome house lavender honey saison! The snack foods and charcuterie hit the spot while we enjoyed the mountain views and even got to watch a couple say "I do" while we purchased a few bottles to come come with us. We were big fans of the Denstiny '19 and Pristine '17 wines and I cannot recommend this winery enough. A really great day spent in Blacksburg, VA!

This is a beautiful vineyard. They offer Covid-19 safe tastings and outdoor seating with reservations. They also offer a variety of options for tastings.

Hidden gem in Blacksburg. Great location and beautiful winery! The tasting includes 3 reds and 3 whites for a very reasonable price. We also got a cheese board that was delicious! It had a variety of about 3 different cheese ranging from spicy to sweet. They also gave us grapes, assorted nuts, and chips. We sat outside and sipped on a bottle of Mystique Chardonnay while enjoying the view. Sad we weren't allowed to keep our glass as a souvenir but definitely worth a visit!

Beliveau Estate Winery is a beautiful spot; however, the wine was just okay. For $10 we were able to sample 8 wines, this was one of the worst wine tastings that I have done to date. If I had to choose two favorite wines it would be the Pristine 2015 and Serenity 2013. They do have bottles available for purchase that are not on the tasting but you have to commit without sampling. The tasting was not organized, they were not very descriptive or personal. They do serve pizza and it stole the show. It was delicious. Overall, decent place to grab a pizza and a glass of wine.

Awesome winery! Had Bob for my tasting who did an excellent job of explaining the wines and the history of the owners and vineyard to me as well as their upcoming opening of their Brewery and the Lavender Festival this weekend. Bob was very personable and I enjoyed our chat during my tasting. I felt like we were old friends. During busy times there is a sign posted that says tastings start every 30 mins., but that may not apply during slow times. Tastings are $10 for 8 wines (4 whites and 4 reds) and a souvenir wine and glass. My favs for the summer heat were Reflection (Traminette) and Sweet Surrender (Red Table Wine).

Gorgeous place! The bed-and-breakfast area looks relaxing, and walking through the vineyard was nice. They hold a Grape Stomping Festival in September that is pretty fun! Adults and children could purchase tickets to stomp grapes, listen to live music, ride rescue horses on a trail by the vineyard, and shop at booths that were invited to attended. The only thing I would change is maybe putting something in for kids. A small jungle gym maybe. An area were kids can use up some of their never ending energy while the adults can sit at one of many picnic tables enjoying the winery's cheese plate. (It would be nice, but I'm sure they don't get many children going there.)

This little gem is my go to place when I want to get out of Blacksburg (been here at least 5 times). It's up on a hill, overlooking the vineyard with a gazebo and rows of lavender. Once you turn off the main road you follow a dirt road for a little while, but that's pretty common in Virginia. When to go? Wednesdays. $9.00 pizzas, that are actually really good. I'm a huge snob when it comes to the crust and they do it right. $3.00 glasses of wine. YEAH. Cheap good wine and awesome pizza. Can't go wrong. The girls behind the counter are super nice and welcoming-- great service. I'll be back time and time again.

Beliveau is a beautiful spot nestled 15 minutes into the country from Blacksburg. I love going out there because of the quiet scenery and the wonderful servers as well as awesome bottles of wine and food. You really can't go wrong coming here for a nice afternoon/evening to chill out with friends in a relaxed, upscale setting.

Such a wonderful place to meet up with friends and enjoy a few glasses of wine. Great wine, beautiful views and outstanding serve! My friends and I also had the charcuterie board and the local barn cats joined! Highly recommend this place, taking a bigger car to navigate the terrain is in your favor.

And The Maridor is the perfect example. This historic mansion, built in 1916 and restored many years later, received its name from its its third owner, Marion Augustus Smyth, President of National Business College who re-named the home "Maridor" after his two children, Marion and Dorothy. Maridor. It is located in the highly regarded area of the historic Grandin Village, in Roanoke, Virginia. Established in 1993, The Maridor offers a versatile event space for weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings. And also has a very unique restaurant that currently is open Wednesdays through Fridays from 4:00 to 9pm. One can book a reservation through their website to dine in either the Restaurant, the Bar, the Dining Room, or the Patio, and enjoy some excellent cuisine from Director and Executive Chef Seth who offers southern-style cooking with International comfort food flavors. What he has created is a place with a diverse menu, where one can go and dine in, enjoying the history of the house with some nice food and drinks at a reasonable price. With Seth's background in Asian cuisine from his Food Truck days, he created a menu with two sides: A West Side and an East Side, providing in it something for everyone's tastes. But his ultimate vision is to create unforgettable dining experiences that inspire and delight his guests. With this amazing background information, I was tempted to go try it out, and thought of all the other restaurants I had discovered in this same way. By driving by them several times until I decided it was time to go experience what's inside. I made a reservation for a Friday at 6:30 pm. When I arrived the house was so big I couldn't find thr entrance at first, but I phoned them and they told me I was at the right place and how to reach the front door. I was warmly greeted by a charming lady with a great personality and taking to the dining room of the house. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review for a better sense of the feel of this restaurant. I was seated at the table of my choice. My server Sharon had the bartender make me a Mocktail to start off with and I had a treat ordering from the menu. For appetizer some Crab Rangoons, followed by a Classic Shrimp Cocktail, and Rockefeller Oysters. As the main course, the Beef Brisket Bao Buns, and for dessert, I later order their Maple Pecan Bourbon Bread Pudding. My server came to check on my at the right times and to fill me in with the History of this house and restaurant and I had a one of a kind dining experience. I highly recommend this place for a couple's night out, or to dine with family and friends. The place provides a comfortable yet distinguish environment in which to enjoy quality time with your loved ones.

The garden is six acres of beauty, and it's a wonderful place to wander around and look at all of the plants and flowers and trees. Perhaps you can also relax at one of the benches that are placed hither and thither. The garden serves as a resource for the students to learn about horticulture, landscaping concepts and environmental stewardship. But it's also just a nice place to sit and relax. I like a good bridge over a pond, and they have that here. The pond has lots of koi fish in it, which I was told an egret will sometimes make a nice meal out of. (Poor koi!) Such is life, though, I guess, right? There are also trellises to walk under, brick paths to walk down, statues to gaze upon, and Adirondack seats to sit in. I saw a couple of students working on their laptops in the garden, which you can do because the campus wifi is also accessible in the garden.

I looked into a Bed and Breakfast and found the Rockwood Manor. The price was what you would expect with no price gouging whatsoever. It turned out to be a very happy turn of events. Rockwood Manor is about a 15 minute drive from Radford university and was perfect for our needs. The Manor is on the historic register. A bit rustic on in places, it was last renovated in 2005. It is a beautiful place and our Hosts Frank and Rochelle were warm, friendly and very welcoming. We stayed in the Blakemore room. It had lots of windows which provided a nice view of the property. Our room also had a jacuzzi which we used and it was amazing after a long day on the road. The bed was a bit more firm than what we are used to at home and we recommended a mattress topper but by no means is this a negative as it is a personal preference. The linens were nice and clean and smelled fresh. We walked around the property and they looked to be all set up for wedding events. Lots of space, lots of areas for photo ops. It would be an ideal place for a wedding with room for a reception. The inside while at one point was the family home was like walking through history. We loved it. My favorite thing about the place was that I felt at home. Frank and and Rochelle are wonderful hosts. The breakfast the next morning was great with options for everyone. They also set the food up buffet style which made me feel like I was at a big family breakfast :) The only suggestion I would have is for our hosts to look into some professional rug cleaning. There were a couple of stains in the rug under the table in our room would need professional stain removal to get out. This place is one of the best B&Bs my wife and I have ever visited.
