Everyone loves a good spa day.. but how about a spa day on a boat? Yep.. head to Bota Bota! They…read moreare known for their water circuit and spa treatments, and the location and views are beautiful. The water circuit consists of a three step process that will promote relaxation and wellness. First, begin with either a hot sauna or steam bath, this helps improve circulation and promote detoxification. Next you transition to a cold plunge, to help boost some of those good endorphins and reduce inflammation. Next you want to relax. They have a bunch of areas to chill out and lounge around. The resting is important as it helps your body stabilize. Once you've rested, repeat! Or if you're like us.. go back to your favorite spots. After a couple cycles, we had appointments for some spa treatments. I got lymphatic drainage, which was SO relaxing, and Caleb got a deep tissue massage. This was the perfect add on! The one recommendation I do have, is before having a spa treatment, go change out of your wet bathing suit and into something dry. Putting on a wet cold bathing suit after a relaxing massage was... unpleasant. My own fault! Bring a book and sit on the decks to soak up the sun and enjoy your relaxation steps. The facility is well maintained and clean, and the changing rooms are great. We truly enjoyed this experience and it was such a unique thing to do in Montreal. They also have a selection of bathing suits in case you decide last minute to add this on to your itinerary. Highly recommend! Lentz_explore

I've never actually been to a real spa before (I've had facials and massages but never a full…read morelike... spa experience) and so I figured while on my very snowy December trip to Montreal now was the time. The fact that this spa is on a boat and half of it was outdoors was the appeal! So we booked just the water circuit (no extras, just saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs) to see if this was even something we'd like. Turns out the December visit was the way to go! It wasn't packed at all, and turns out that sitting in a hot tub while the snow falls on your face is actually a top ten life experience. It was cold as heck out, mind you, but somehow you never feel chilly when you're going in and out of saunas and hot tubs. I did wish some of the relaxation rooms were a bit warmer, or there was an ability to swap out a soaking towel at some point, but I was never uncomfortable. Everything was clean and people around us were respectful. I loved the no phone policy and definitely chilled out to staring into this strangely brutalist bay. David Lynch relaxation vibes. The best was the floor where you could sit in a porthole window -- only wish we had discovered it earlier! I would totally come back here and check out some of their other offerings. Dunno, might even aim for a winter trip again because it was just that nice!

Think the gent who assisted was Antoine (shorter, chestnut hair, and great skin, of course). Very warm and extremely knowledgeable. I regularly shop their stores in Century City, Culver, and Larchmont, yet he taught me things I never knew about their products. Thought I was just popping in for a serum, but he took the time to show me several options, and I bought more than expected :-) Knowing that I was visiting, he even offered me an Aesop guide to local restaurants. So helpful, so thoughtful, such a wonderful employee and experience. Thank you!!!

The clerk offered me tea as well as a pricing sheet before leading me to the sink in the middle of store to wash my hands and try the products. They even offer you a small hand towel to dry your hands afterwards! Everything has top notch packaging, it's super impressive. On one side of the room they have gift packages and each comes with a sleeve that has unique artwork and a poem. Sadly, everything is very expensive and I can't justify paying for any of it. I let my sales associate know this and she said it wasn't a problem. She gave me a catalog and some samples before I left just in case I ever wanted to treat myself. Excellent customer service! I was so pleased after my visit.

When you pay $70 +tip for a mens haircut at a salon, there is a minimum bar of customer service & attention -- every single time that bar has not been met. If you're available between 11am - 4pm to patiently deal with front desk staff while they figure out how to use their systems, re-repeat your name, phone number, email, schedule and your preferred stylist (and call you repeatedly), and then find no slots for you in the next month.. this place is for you. If you feel that $70 (+tip!) warrants customer service that goes above and beyond and offers flexibility to your 9-5 working schedule **without charging a "no-show" fee after you call to say you're late and get the answering machine** then you might want to look elsewhere. To the management: I recommend a review of front desk staff policies & interactions. The two front desk staff seem more interested in Instagram than customers. PS. Haircuts are OK, Anthony is quite good..

I was not aware that this was applicable. So obviously they need to sanitize the station before and after . But that fee would pay for a bottle per client. Wowow .... I was not impressed by that...
