There's Italian music playing and the atmosphere was nice, and the staff who took our order and brought out the food were lovely. But the food wasn't overly impressive. To start with I had the caprese salad, which is impossible to do wrong and tasted fine, although the plate was dusted with what I think was paprika, which I found odd. For my main course I had carbonara, and although it was a lunch menu, the portion was tiny and left me hungry, even though I've tasted much better carbonaras. That plate was also dusted, as was Colin's bolognese, so I think they do it just for effect but it doesn't really add anything and looks a but silly. The food was fine. It's a decent place for lunch, but their dinner prices looked a bit pricey for the quality of food they were producing. I'd probably come back for lunch but not much else.

The soup was warm and comforting and came with a piece of bread on the side. The pasta and pizza were both a little saucy, but tasted very fresh. I also liked that they added fresh parmesan on top of the pasta. The ambiance was really nice and there was plenty of seating. For dessert, we shared the Coppa Rocher sundae with pistachio and chocolate ice cream topped with whipped cream. The ice cream was very creamy and it was a great way to end the meal. The servers were friendly, and the food came out without too much delay.
