I am not one to write bad reviews, I tend to let bygones be bygones, but I'm left with no choice…read morethis time. I have to be honest, I'm quite shocked over this whole situation. I went into Alexlar after making an appointment over the phone with one of their stylists. For the appointment, I brought several reference photos, including one of myself from a few years back when I had a similar haircolor ,and ones that included what I was looking for in terms of color and style. I expressed to the stylist that I wanted as little of my length cut off as possible, but I understood that it needed a healthy trim as I hadn't been to a salon in some time. The stylist explained that to achieve the color I wanted , it may take a few sessions. I was disappointed to hear that it would not be done that day but I accepted that in good faith and with trust. After 3.5 hours getting to the end of the appointment, I asked for a blow out which I also didn't get, I got coils. I assumed, with hope and dismay, that once I relaxed my hair I would be able to appreciate the final product. This is what I was left with. The cut is embarrassingly uneven, I am mortified by the length of my once long hair that I felt very attached to, and I didn't even get to leave with the color I wanted to top it off. I called the salon immediately the next morning and expressed that I was in shock by my hair. The owner did ask me to come in to take a look at it and I accepted. I went in a few days later to speak to the owner. We discussed the situation, and she offered to cut my hair evenly, but I didn't feel comfortable with the salon cutting my hair again. I also expressed that I didn't feel that I got to leave the salon with /anything/ that I went in for and on top of it I had lost sooo much hair and length that could not be remedied. I also did not want to come back for the rest of the previously mentioned "process" for color because again, I do not feel comfortable. The only resolution that I felt was correct was to receive a refund, which to me would go to getting it fixed by a salon that I can trust, and go toward extensions to just try to recover what I lost. The owner denied that request, with the exception of perhaps $20 out of my almost $200 that i paid, which I refused. She also offered me some hair care products including for hair growth, and I declined that as well. She assured me that my hair would grow back but that just doesn't feel comforting when the only reason it's so short for me in the first place is because of this. I will say that my stylist was incredibly hospitable during my appointment and seems like a very nice girl, but I'm beyond disappointed by the whole experience, frustrated, and not feeling very good about myself. I'm feeling confused and discouraged that I'm left with a final result that I'm embarrassed by and out so much money, also shortly before nice weather, vacations, etc. I'm just giving a warning to others because I would feel very bad if this happened to you too and I didn't say anything. They don't seem to have Any sort of satisfaction guarantee and I am regretting not knowing that ahead of time.
