It's not hard to see why; the store itself is beautiful, with a black and white tiled floor. The staff are all young, friendly and attentive. And the FOOD - oh, my! My personal favourite is the traditional meat number, but I'm also willing to recommend the steak and kidney, or the potato - yummy!! There is also a tempting array of sweets in the glass cabinets to tempt you along with your coffee - brioche, anyone? Amazing! Not as good as the pies, the coffee is still pretty a-ok. If you've got time to kill, get one and sit down - the take away cups are much smaller than what you'd pay for one inhouse. However, the location of Patison's Bakery on Mona Vale Road is a bit of a let down. I like to sit in the sun, enjoy my pie and have a chat with a friend or read the paper; not be distracted by the constant roar from the North Shore's traffic; maybe that's why the inhouse coffees are so much better.
