At first, I was hesitant to tell her what I don't like about a dress she had me try on but she coached me to be honest so she can help me find the one. Not once did she pressure me into making a decision. She was very understanding when I was nervous about being "too picky". She had me try on a dress I knew immediately would show my unflattering curves but I wanted to be open. She saw right away without me saying anything I hated it. She chose her words very carefully without bringing my weight and body into it. Very discreet and professional. My appointment was at the end of the day and we were there until 6pm (way past their closing time). I felt so bad but the ladies didn't rush me at all while I was getting measured and paying. I wish I had all day to try on more dresses it was so much fun. Thank you Bridal Gallery and Deanna for making my one and only dress appointment so special and memorable. My entourage had a great time as well!

I was very clear about my wedding date and travel schedule, only to later be informed that my dress would not be ready on time. I signed for a specific size, then received a text stating that the size I had signed for was unavailable. At that point, they had to contact the designer, which meant the dress would not meet the deadline I had clearly communicated. I agreed to this, though I felt I had little choice. When I returned to the store for alterations, I fully expected to pay for them. However, the cost was nearly a third of the price of the dress. The alterations were quite simple; hemming the dress to my height, adjusting the sleeves, and adding an underlining to the corset, which made the price even more disappointing. Overall, this experience was extremely stressful. The dress I received appeared used and dirty, and now I have to walk down the aisle with a very bitter feeling attached to what should have been a joyful moment. Sadly, after my purchase, I discovered that other reviewers have reported similar issues.

The…read moreother reviews here seem quite outdated and the staff at Lisa's were very kind and professional during my visits. At my first appointment, I got to try on a variety of dresses and my bridal consultant Tatiane had pulled several dresses for me ahead of time based on my preferences. She also offered a lot of helpful feedback and tips of what to look for in a dress and what modifications can be made. I'm very indecisive and I felt that Tatiane did an excellent job of guiding me towards finding my ideal dress. Communication after my appointment was also very prompt when I requested more information about the dresses I liked. When I finally decided on my dress, Tatiane was kind enough to put it on hold until my appointment to go try it again. Overall I enjoyed my experience at Lisa's. I especially liked the large variety of dresses they carry and I'm very happy to have found my dress off the rack so I don't have to worry about ordering. Hopefully the alterations go smoothly as well!

Yesterday I was in new Westminster with a friend and my fiancé, visiting the food truck festival…read more We walked by Lisa's Bridal Salon, which prompted me to exclaim how much I hate that place. In 2002, I made the biggest mistake of my life: I got married. (I have since gotten a divorce.) I was young and stupid, and it being my first wedding, I was doing all the traditional wedding things, such as wedding dress shopping. My bridesmaids and I went to New West to start my wedding dress search. We walked into Lisa's Bridal Salon, which was empty, and were met with disgust and distain, and told with a snotty attitude that we needed an appointment. (Uh, what's wrong with walking in TO make an appointment?!) We told the rude woman that we were looking for wedding dresses, and the second she heard the word "wedding", she treated us like royalty. We booked an appointment and came back an hour or so later. When we arrived, the store was still empty except for a couple of teenagers (who were in no way being obnoxious) finishing up with their prom dress purchases. When they left, the woman made a rude comment about them (I no longer remember what, but I recall the incident). Clearly she had no respect for customers, unless they were purchasing wedding dresses, which was the reason why we were treated so shabbily when we initially walked in -- she assumed we were teenagers wanting to purchase a $300 prom dress instead of a $3000 wedding dress. Anyway, not only were the dresses quite expensive, but they were ugly. There wasn't one dress that appealed to me, and when I told the woman what I was looking for/what style I liked, she pressured me to try on dresses I had no interest in (back then, as a kid barely out of high school with no self-esteem, I wasn't very assertive). She also barged in on me as I was changing, and forced an ugly dress on me, scratching my arms with all the gaudy beading adorning the dress. So, to summarize, I hate Lisa's because: 1. The employees there were fucking rude, treating their customers like shit unless they were buying a wedding dress. 2. The sales woman I dealt with was pushy and wouldn't listen to my preferences, and didn't respect people's boundaries. 3. The dresses were ugly and very expensive. I didn't buy a dress there, obviously, and instead, I bought a dress from a nearby store, for $400, from a person who didn't treat me like garbage or judge me and make assumptions based on my appearance. Even though this incident happened 16 years ago, I still remember, and I certainly will NOT buy a wedding dress from there for my upcoming wedding in November. [Yelp collections: Rude!]

Buyers Remorse!! My dress was "used" condition!…read more Consultation - My consultant was 1 hour late for our appointment, so we were very rushed by the time she arrived. However she was very friendly and I found my dress off the rack, my mom even gave her a $20 tip. She assured us that when we came to pick up the dress it would be steamed and any flaws would be fixed, that it would be perfect. Having this assurance I did not go over the dress with a fine tooth comb and trusted her. Dress pick up - When i went to pick up my dress it was not ready despite having given them 2 weeks notice. They said they were busy. The dress wasn't even hung properly on the hanger and handed to me in a bag, i was unable again to take a real close look at it. Alterations - when i brought the dress to my seamstress she asked "Is this dress used???" . I was shocked she asked! But sure enough there was a ton of rips , holes, and damage to the lace at the bottom of the dress. The lace was "fraying" and my seamstress was going to have to restitch the entire bottom of the dress. I emailed Sposa photos and they basically put the blame on me for not looking at the dress more closely. They offered to fix it only if i had my alterations done there (which i was not interested in since they have such bad reviews!) . I was treated so poorly and met with such rude attitude! They really don't care about you once they have made the sale. Brides avoid this place like the plague!! You will regret purchasing here.

They have no chairs to offer (save one when asked for) so we were all standing awkwardly close to the mirrors. The woman who works there is capable of making her guests feel uncomfortable. Right off the bat, her first "welcoming" question was, "So have you girls been to other stores? (proceeded to saying) ...because I'm telling you my prices are better" (Pointing towards the cheapest rack). No, she really didn't offer a better deal than the other bridal stores on Columbia Street. She kept insisting during our entire visit that we HAVE to decide "FAST" because the deal will expire soon. She seemed to LACK respect for personal space. She called out the price for each item whenever we inspected a dress a little longer, adding obnoxious comments like "yeah, but that one is more expensive" REPEATEDLY. She asked us if we "have" cellphones so we could leave them out of the dressing rooms (I know why bridal stores are against taking photos of their dresses. Understood). No other store had asked us about our cellphones to leave behind prior to entering the change room--save this one. Those dresses she was advertising to us were not amazing to begin with, they looked mediocre. I have no idea why she didn't bring us to the nicer ones that were clearly there. BRAZEN, for my taste, to the point of everyone cringing. My friends and I were inevitably turned off by this visit. I will NOT recommend this poor place. I truly wish the owners luck, however.

The fact that they had everything in one shop was a god send for us. When we went in for a consultation they told us the break down of all the packages they had. We had 12 hours of coverage, hair and make up suit and dress rentals for $6,000. It was worth every penny for us, if you put a few things into consideration - i.e. a wedding dress alone will run you at least $2,000. The price includes alterations for the tuxes and dresses. One thing I've noticed that they offer is a bridal assistant. That person is with you from the start of the day to the reception. She will help touch up your make up making sure you good as you did in the morning. The downside is that the selection of sizes for wedding dresses is very limited. They have dresses up to size 12, anything bigger will require special order, but if it fits around the waist they are able to alter it for you

There were no pushy salesmen/salesladies to deal with here - the woman working at the times I went was very laid back and friendly and totally lets you browse at your own pace. The alterations service is where this store shines though, at least in my case. I'd bought a dress elsewhere and had a really unfortunate experience there with alterations. I brought it in here to see if there was anything to be done to fix up the damage, and the woman mentioned before immediately knew what to do to get the dress looking better. My only regret was not taking the dress to be altered here in the first place because she really did a great job in repairs. While I didn't need this particular service at the time, they do offer custom dresses as well. I actually got a peek at a dress in-progress while I was picking up my own and from what I could see the quality was very good. I would definitely come back if I ever needed anything altered again, especially another dress. I overall loved the relaxed feel of the store and customer service was excellent. This is certainly a place to at least take a look-see if you're in need of bridal dresses, formal wear, or alterations.
