First, if you've never lived with custom closers, it truly changes the way you live in your home. We have moved a lot & custom closets are always the first project we tackle in a new home. Money well spent. We've had a house in Lake Lure we used for holidays & weekends for years, and the closets sufficed for vacation - but not for full-time living. We got quotes from a couple of companies. Bella's pricing was very comparable - within 10%. And after having another company do our master closet (primarily because they were available much quicker) I feel uniquely qualified to compare both the product & the service - and Bella Systems far exceeds others in every aspect! We had Bella do our huge walk-in pantry, mud room, one reach-in hall closet, and two walk-in closets in secondary bedrooms. The material itself: - The edging on the panels is far superior - thicker, stronger, not just a stick-on laminate edge. - The hanging system seems more robust. We haven't had any issues with the other company's install, but Bella's hardware is clearly more heavy duty. The service: You're dealing with the owners of the company, from the design/measure (Scott) through the install (Christine). Scott has great closet layout ideas and knows the measurements of common items (clothing, linens & pantry items) so that shelf spacing is actually meaningful. He also designs the closet on the spot with his laptop; there's no waiting for some design team to put it together & send to you later (was over a week with the other company!) The install: Christine cleans every single panel before it gets installed. (This is a critical detail, as the other company didn't clean panels AT ALL & they are filthy after being cut in a factory - I had to clean everything myself before we could move into our master closet!) She queues up the parts for the installer so it's all quite efficient. The installer (I forget his name) was very detailed and anal, which you want in a closet installer! Everything was perfectly level & precise. With Bella, all your spaces are clean, complete & ready for you to move in. Christine even vacuumed our foyer because she felt they dirtied it coming in & out! Excellent attention to detail. read more

Bella Systems are excellent. Scott arrived on time , asked me what I wanted, took measurements, sat down at the kitchen table drew up the design on his laptop , reviewed it and left us with the estimate. Very efficient. No hard sales pressure! One day later we received an email with all the drawings clear explanations. We requested a couple of small changes. Scott was prompt to get back to us with revised drawings. Only 3 weeks later Scott and his crew arrived to install our Master Bedroom Closet. They were careful to put down protective floor coverings before they started, their work was neat and tidy and I am delighted with the end result. Met my expectations exactly. I did get an estimate from another vendor but they were not willing to leave the plans for us to review before we hired them. We recently downsized and moved to the area. Our master bedroom closets are considerably smaller than the closet space we had prior to our downsize. We had two reach in closets customized by Scott. From the scheduling of the appts. through installation day, Scott and Christine made sure that our satisfaction was guaranteed. During the initial visit to give us a quote, Scott was thorough, well-prepared and patiently answered my many questions. Much to our satisfaction, Scott was able to make recommendations for us to get the most use out of our "cozy closet spaces." Scott and his wife, Christine, worked seamlessly on install day and accomplished the wonderful install of our two closet systems efficiently. Great couple to work with and awesome closet system.
