We were very clear that the carpet was being installed on the 2nd floor and the rooms are large, which they knew. The installation crew of 2 people, a man and woman, arrived as scheduled (8am) and began removing the carpet. The shock came when I saw that the man was putting the old carpet/padding through the window and onto the roof. After there where 4-5 rolls of the old carpet/padding on the roof, he climbed out of the window and threw them to the ground. Frankly, I about had a stroke! Not only was that extremely dangerous but was not good for my 2 year old roof. Then they tried to move the new carpet out of the truck but it was too heavy for the 2 of them to move, so my husband and I helped them get it out. They cut the carpet for the largest room (20x17) rolled it up and the man carried it up the flight of stairs to the room and dropped it. It hit the floor so hard that it knocked a picture off the wall downstairs and shook the entire house. I ran to be sure no one was hurt but he didn't look at all concerned, but he didn't carry additional pieces upstairs until additional help arrived at about 1pm. They continued putting old carpet/padding on the roof and then throwing them off. They worked quickly laying the carpet and putting things back. They clearly were not coming back on Friday morning to finish putting things back or clean up the debris in our yard. Perhaps, we made the mistake of moving things into one room to save time. The carpet does look nice but I'm not sure that it will stand the test of time; only time will tell...

(never will buy through LL again) Steve worked with us and tried to help us in our claim we filed against LL.. It was a perfect install, the material was bad. I was skeptical as they are the only contractors Lumber Liquidators refers to but I can understand why they maintain that referral relationship: SW Contractors are top notch. Our job was an involved one as we were ripping out tile and carpet throughout our downstairs and putting down hardwood in the kitchen, living, two closets, hallway, bathroom and entryway. Steve came to the house and was able to give a detailed (and pretty competitive) quote right then and there. We had some tight scheduling issues as I wanted the rest of the family out of the house for the install. Laura, the business/office manager, worked with me to get our project scheduled on exactly the days I needed. The crew of three arrived and immediately got to work. By mid-morning, they already had ALL the demo done! Jose, William and Eduardo were fast and meticulous - even taking extra (unexpected) steps to minimize the mess (which, if you've ever removed tile, you know there is a LOT of mess!) They hauled away all of their waste when they were done, too and even kept their work area neat between project days- something I didn't expect but really appreciated. I LOVE my new floor. We went with the taller baseboards as Steve recommended and the finished product is gorgeous, contemporary and SO clean! Laura was even helpful in getting some questions answered for me after the install was finished and emphasized that they would be more than happy to come take a look at anything should I have any concerns.

We cannot express how pleased we are with our experience with Brooks Flooring, Inc. From our initial phone conversation with Phil, to our showroom visit with Julia, to the actual installation, everyone was extremely professional, knowledgeable and timely. All our questions and concerns were addressed and alleviated. We never felt pressured and everything was scheduled to our timeframe. Brooks Flooring was there every step of the process, including the installation. And what great installers they have. Juanfer and his crew are true craftsmen when it comes to flooring installation, taking the time to achieve perfection. If you are looking to get new flooring, contact Brooks Flooring. They will not disappoint.

The floor, which we paid an additional upcharge of $14,000., looks so bad, guest ask us when we're changing the floor! There are ripples and waves, adhesive, unfinished edges and men's size 8 or 9 workbook footprints all over! Yes, they were contacted. They sent out a girl with a broom, then covered my floors with Heritage House plastic coating, ultimately costing us hundreds of dollars to get the shiny, yellowish film off our floors. That did not help. Then they sent a guy over who mopped a patch of flooring and dropped off a box of planks. Great! What's a 70+ woman supposed to do with that??? Never have we been treated with such little respect as clients. Our tile floors were supposed to have gray grout, someone decided unsealed white would be better. Now we have to regroup three bathrooms and a laundry room, as all the unsealed has yellowed Plus they put the wrong tile in the shower floors and did a very unprofessional job at that. Never ever have we seen a company with such little service, respect or appreciation for their client. They hire non English speaking installers who, by the quality of the finished product, have little or no experience or just don't care. If you want your money's worth try someone else. Yellowed.
