I am a blind woman of color. My white fiance took me to the store to have a dress altered. When I spoke to the lady on the phone she sounded very nice, but going in person was a different experience. It felt like they didn't want to talk to me or deal with me, but talked to my fiance instead, who just directed them to me. Did my white cane scare them? Blind people can speak and understand. I explained the alteration I wanted and they said it would be ready the following Saturday. This was fine. When that Saturday came we came to collect it. My fiance, who is the picture of patience, began to grow impatient waiting especially when asked to describe what it looked like. When they finally located it they asked us to return in several hours as it wasn't ready. The dress was hemmed but not all requested alterations were completed. I did not want to press the issue. I paid and would take future business elsewhere including finishing this job. I think this is unfortunate. The owners appear to be Vietnamese. My father spoke fluent Vietnamese and admired Vietnamese culture. I tried making small talk about this and it didn't land at all. I wonder if this is yet another example of one minority disliking another over petty differences or adopting the racism of those who dislike both of our peoples or if my disability was also the cherry on this unpleasant cake. My fiance pointed out that white abled women ahead of me were receiving attentive and doting treatment. So what am I supposed to conclude? I wouldn't recommend other people of color or disabled people to give their business to a place that doesn't demonstrate care for customers equally. What a shame. read more

It was fast and easy! My dress fit perfectly. They take walkins but also appointments. Hemming the dress was $55, only the front was hemmed so I would clarify but they were upfront about the cost. I got one strap fitted, the sides fitted, and a hem for $105 which I felt like was worth it! read more

Not sure what is with the other reviews but their service was super quick and very friendly. I had a bracelet that broke and was devastated as that bracelet meant so much to me and the short lady with short hair fixed it in just a couple of seconds. The value of their service is phenomenal and I hope to do business with them again if I have things broken again. I was recommended this place and was heavily disappointed. First when me and my friend dropped our dresses off we agreed with them that we would come back on the 28th. So we go back on the 28th after receiving a text that our dresses would be ready that day. When we got there they weren't ready and they kept denying that they said it would be ready on the 28th which was frustrating because I got a text that day saying to come get our dresses. So we went back the next day and it was busy but our dresses were ready. The whole process of checking out was confusing. Both of the dresses that we took there just didn't fit how we wanted them to and we paid to much for what we got. Then when I went home and tried on the dress again I noticed a 2 inch hole where they were supposed to take my dress in. So overall very disappointing. read more

The service is quick like a whiplash. I had no idea what was going on every time I went in there. I had to go back a couple times because my waist was the problem. But if they spent 3 extra minutes with me I feel I wouldn't have had to keep going back. The cost of my tailoring was almost as much as my dress. I will start this off by saying that if you are getting a wedding dress altered here, I think you will be really happy. They are great tailors and I am sad that I haven't been having a great experience as of late. The quality is great- but I just feel like the customer service aspect is gone. Whenever I come in, I feel like I am inconveniencing the team who works here by having non wedding related garments worked on. This last time I had a heck of a time getting my stuff back and had to come by 3x because my items were not ready on the quoted days. This is no longer on my commute so I went out of my way each time. Unfortunately it seems like there are seasons that you can have things altered here, but overall they have taken on a lot more weddings this past year or so which has created a bigger backlog, but the communication hasn't changed. If someone could have called or texted me when my stuff was ready, it would have eliminated some of the issues. read more

This tailor came highly recommended, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing -- especially given the high cost for the alterations on my wedding dress. I had to make four separate trips, and on my third visit, it was clear nothing had been done; it seemed they had completely forgotten I was scheduled to come in. When I finally picked up the dress, there was a visible blue pen mark and part of the fabric was dirty. I ended up waiting there for two hours, during which another customer also discovered a stain on her dress. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against using this place for your wedding gown. read more

This review is long overdue! My wedding was in Sept 2022 & Bella altered two wedding dresses for me. I was initially nervous going for alterations, as I think most brides are. Bella has a sweet, "I do for you"', "no worry" attitude... this put me at ease. It's true, she is VERY busy, so allow extra time & be sure to communicate when you need your dress/garment by. She will be honest, if she doesn't think she "can do for you", she will tell you... this is not rudeness, it's honesty. My dresses each took multiple fittings & tweaks, but this is normal.... So allow time. Because Bella does all the alterations herself, there were times she had to move my fitting a day/two, but in the end.... My dresses were incredible and her alteration cost are not "gouging One dress was Sarah Nouri & the other dress was Carolina Herrera. Went to pick up a mother of the bride dress 9 days before the wedding and they had not done ANY of the services requested. They did not call to inform us that were unable to alter the straps as requested. They did not fix the botched hem. They did not communicate the dress was not at all tailored to what was promised. They left us with a botched dress 9 days before the event, and were extremely rude about it, telling us our request "wouldn't look good" even though they confirmed they would do that specific tailor at the previous fitting. Miraculous! I can sew. After trimming my daughter's wedding dress too short in the front, we were all in tears. Bella was on a list of tailors given by LUV Bridal. With one week to go, we were desperate. Bella graciously accepted our plea, fit us in and went above and beyond. She not only trimmed the uneven hem, she redid the satin underskirt, bustled it, bustled the difficult tulle overlay with discreet buttons and loops. She then replaced multiple buttons that had discolored from trying on and off so many times. In addition to all of that, she fixed the tulle sleeves with elastic and embellished them to boot. Bella tailor does wonder! The owner is so nice and price is still cheaper than most alterations in the denver area for a BRIDAL GOWN alteration. Was recommended by brilliant bridal. She's very busy since she's a one woman show at the moment (her partner recently retired) so appointment is strongly recommended. Also I'd suggest to give her a reasonable turn around time. I was able to get mine done in a month but that's cutting close... the longer (2-3 months) the better in case there needed to be additional alterations. I left a frantic voicemail after hours, and she called me within minutes to say she would make everything okay and I didn't need to cry haha. Bella saved the day!!! I could not have done it without her! I purchased a wedding dress and had it arriving in ivory not the beige color it came in. The dress came from Israel and the shop made a mess of it. When I went to pick it up it was a month late and half ivory half beige and too big. The shop wouldn't do anything about it and then I found Bella Tailor. With my wedding less than a month away I was so upset, but I went in. She told me to leave it with her. I came back a week later and although the designer/shop had made a mess of my dress these guys had turned it all ivory and were literally saving my wedding. I left again and came back the day before we flew out for my wedding to absolute perfection! They had it all ivory and fitted perfectly, I could not be happier. Bella altered my wedding dress, and it turned out perfectly!! After paying for such an expensive dress, I was shocked to see how much more most wedding dress alterations tailors in Denver would cost us. Bella's price was a fraction of the cost with excellent quality!! My dress was two separate pieces--lace top and silk skirt. She took in both pieces at all seams, inserted cups into the top, added an extra hidden clasp for the top as she wasn't confident the buttons would hold effectively, and added a bustle to the skirt. She was very kind and allowed me to give feedback on all meetings. Importantly, she worked with my tighter schedule and had me come in for several stages of fitting/alteration. This review is for shoe repair only. I've brought a few pairs of shoes in for repair and they have done a great job. The shop is closed on Sundays and open M-Sat from 9 am-6pm. Each time I have been greeted promptly and once I let them know what work I am expecting, they let you know how the repair is and typically the repair is ready within a week's time. One thing to note is that the store is cash only. You may be asked to pay ahead of time (odd to me) or you can opt to pay when you return for pick up. Also, there is no signage with the name of the business, there is just a sign for alterations/shoe repair. The official business name has changed from June's Tailor to Bella's Tailor as well. I'm adding my review here, since it was originally under June's Tailor, but this business is now Bella's Tailor. On the 3 pairs of shoes that I have taken in, they have done a good job and I am very pleased. I like it a bit better than the place I used to go to in Cherry Creek. read more
