I learnt that they age their wines which I found out later most wineries don't do because it takes up too much space and, thus, too costly. This is ideal for folks, like us, who live in a condo, as we don't have the space to age the wines ourselves. So technically, Pentage Winery does it for us, which is a bonus! Another bonus, was the private tour of their natural rock wine cellar, which was spectacular - a true natural wonder and definitely worth a visit if you are in the area! We booked a private tour in advance, as we realized most wineries request this and it was well worth it. The owner escorted us through their cellar explaining the details of their wine making processes. We also toured their gorgeous vineyard; the views of Skaha Lake were stunning. My girlfriend and I were on vacation through Okanagan wine country. Over six days, we visited sixty wineries. You can follow our various locations with this disclaimer. That's sixty wineries, not an exaggeration. We ended the trip with 120 bottles acquired. This is not to say that there's an alpine coaster or complimentary back rubs or anything. It's just a purified wine-lovers experience. Firstly, there's that gate, one of only two places we've been to boasting one, and yes, that minute detail helps. Cars approach the rustic cottage, fringed by vineyards, gardens, and picnic tables. Being on a hill, the view is incredible. Within, we found a comfortable if cramped wine tasting area with décor following the theme reflective of the roaring twenties / Jazz age, basically enjoying the decadent elements of The Great Gatsby without the annoyance of actually reading that dreadful novel. And it probably has the best-looking bathroom on our trip...yes, I just said that. Trust me; you'll agree with me when you see it. The ultimate point regarding the success of Kraze Legz, more than anything aesthetically about the location, is that the wines are amazing...according to my girlfriend. I admit it's not my favorite, but I also admit being in the extreme minority. My girlfriend and our best friends all adore both Kraze Legz and Skaha wines (by the same winery), so much so that we are on the wine subscription now. The staff is pleasant and I loved the fact you must drive through a housing division to get to it. Yes, if you like drinking wine, Kraze Legz is a destination spot. Note that they douse grapes from other vineyards including across the border, but they are transparent about that by marking those particular wines on the menu.

They're a family run winery specializing in natural wines. We dropped in on a Saturday morning (with 11:00am reservations). If you climb up a hill, you're in the right spot. View is absolutely gorgeous from the top. We were given the tasting and tour by Jordan (one of the winemakers!); really friendly and informative. Tastings are $10.00 per person and we were given 5 wines to sample. Fee is waived with purchase. Tastings are by appointment only but can be booked easily online. Sadly, they were sold out of several bottles (including their pet nat). - Blanc de noirs 2018 - flowers and strawberries. - Viognier 2018 - citrus fruit and salty rocks. - Rosé 2018 - watermelon jolly rancher. This one wasn't as dry as described (bone dry) but had a smooth finish. This one turned out to be our favourite so we bought a bottle ($25.00) for home. - Pinot noir 2017 - floral and cherries. - Syrah 2018 - pink pepper, violets and leather. If you're into natural wines, LRW is a no brainer.

It's tasting lounge is minuscule with no ration given to merchandise or paired picnic-fodder. It doesn't offer the particulars all wineries must list. There are no Cabernet Sauvignons, Pinot Noirs, or Syrahs? Even its name is weird--not taken from its address or a simplistic nearby geographical feature. Synchromesh? Am I getting my car serviced? It can't even be bothered to hire staff, forcing patrons to listen to the winemaker himself ramble on about how great his Rieslings are. That's right, Rieslings...white wine. And not only that, but among the ten wines generally offered, six are Rieslings, limiting options to those wishing the standard fair. My God, I love this place. As for those Rieslings, I bought four. I thought the reds were offered because the owners felt they needed to. This is a perfect example of a winery knowing something well and throwing everything behind it in order to perfect that one impeccable variatel. It's an example sadly so few follow, as such dedication usually comes at the expense of selection. I'd rather have that than a traditional winery just offering the staples. Just because there are six varietals of Riesling does not equate them being identical. Each one caters to a distinct palate, but each is strong in their own regard. I didn't buy the same bottle twice. As for the name, love it. Talking with the owner directly as he poured samples, I'd have it no other way. The small tasting room, focused and without distraction. This is a winery that sells what it knows and it knows Riesling. It's not surprising that Synchromesh makes the best. That's my declaration; they do the best Rieslings in the Okanagan. Do I have a sample size, or am I just being glib? From August 2016 to May 2017, my girlfriend and I visited over 100 BC wineries, so take that what you will. Synchromesh is one not to miss, regardless if you prefer whites or reds. The Rieslings will sway your opinion. If you still dislike it after the visit, then there is no hope--you will always see red. By the way, the day we arrived, it was over 34 degrees outside, but inside was an ice box. Thank you.

My family was really excited to come here as majority of them was their first time here. 100% would NEVER come here again.
