I get there at 830 to find out that my appt wasn't in the system. I showed her proof of the zoc doc confirmation on my phone. Turns out the person who was supposed to give me the shot (who is not even a doctor but an assistant) wasn't there yet. So she tells me she's coming in and to wait. Then 2 minutes later I clearly hear her asking someone else is Susan coming in? So WTF would you tell me to wait for Susan when you don't even know if she's coming? And why wouldn't you call someone or ask to find out before telling me to wait. So I go up to her and say can't anyone give me the shot? She was like "oh you can see anyone"? YES it's a cortisone shot! I reminded her again that I had to leave to go to work so it would have to be in the next 5 min. She looked at me like I was nuts. "Oh no it won't be in the next 5 min. I still have to put your info into the system." So I made an appt on Zoc Doc for 830am, filled out all of my info, only to find out the PA wasn't there, my info wasn't in the system and the receptionist can't seem to understand I have to go to work though I said it 3x. Let's keep in mind a shot takes approx 1 second to administer. It was a complete waste of time AND the receptionist had bad skin!!!! Not the best advertisement guys.

He was even super cool with my taking a phone call during our appointment once (please don't judge me- it was another doctor calling with test results!). They've helped me keep my eczema under control, and they're always handing out samples of stuff like Aquaphor and Neutrogena soap and other goodies.

Making an appointment was easy. I only had to wait a couple minutes after checking in to be seen. The office is very upscale and lovely. But most importantly, Dr. Lamarre seems like an amazing doctor. Both times she was caring and took her time with me. She seemed extremely knowledgable too. Best doctor that I've seen in a long time. I mentioned briefly during my appointment that I didnt have a dentist because my insurance changed. The next day she emailed me with a list of dentists that she personally knows and likes nearby. I cant believe she remembered that. Those personal touches are so appreciated. So far, I am SO impressed by her and her staff. You do have to register and pay with One Medical Group to see Dr. Lamarre, which originally annoyed me (I have to pay extra?!), but honestly it's been worth it. Their app is very useful and it's easy and fast to get in contact with them, no wait times, easy prescription refills, etc etc. So the little extra to join was worth it. Highly recommended.

My experience with Dr. Lamarre has been a pleasant one. She does the usual vitals and health questions and asked about my family history. She had me do blood work, which is done on the premises which is very convenient. After the meeting, she emails me as soon as the results come in from the lab and invites me to discuss the results. We discuss what my options were and recommended specialist I can see. She send me the referrals by email and any prescriptions I need are electronically sent it to either my pharmacy or express scripts (if I ask for mail delivery). Since I have diabetes, she's follow up and if I feel I need to see her anytime, she's readily available. I love the personalized approach I get from her.

The only downside was that she didn't take my insurance, but I completely understand. It's obvious that she'd rather treat patients than play around with BS Health Insurance paperwork. Terrific bedside manner. Explains things clearly. Takes her time. Really appears to care about your well-being. Didn't leave me in a waiting room and disrespect me and my time. Fortunately, Dr. Vizel-Schwartz pays close attention to my concerns and addresses them appropriately. I would recommend Dr. Vizel-Schwartz to any of my family or friends, and we are very fickle about doctors! After reading some of these reviews, I do wonder why anyone would give a bad review to a doctor because of their own insurance issues (which we all have, right?) or why another would go to the doctor with something as minor as a cold. She understands that it's important to dialogue with the patient and not be dismissive and quick to judge and give a diagnosis, something that comes with only the experience and humility of an experienced physician. I also agree with her philosophy on the importance of eating right (real whole foods) and living a healthy lifestyle over the long term are key to good health and that cramming a bunch of vitamins into an artificial diet is not going to be a big help. Some of these other reviewers who complain about the doctor because she did not fight with their insurance company for them is absolutely ridiculous! I have not been to a single doctor where even with a staff the size of a small infantry they will fight with the insurance company for me to get properly reimbursed. That burden - for better or worse - lies with the patient. The doctor is there to help you get better, not to file papers. I like very experienced doctors who are not quick to judge and will look for the most conservative and effective treatments possible to keep your health and safety in mind. Dr Vizel-Schwartz will be my doctor for a long long time, as is common with most of her long term patients.
