I was charged extra for a soak off but all he did was drill my nails down till they were brittle and hurting but still left chunks of my old color (hot pink) on them. When my tech finally started my nails, she dipped my new color (lavender) over the old color!! She never filed the sides of my nails so the top coat and color has been chipping ever since I got them done and there are chunks of hot pink still very visible around my nails as well as black specks through out my dip. Definitely won't be going back. read more

The point of this review is to not get anyone in trouble but to just bring some attention to this situation,. I went in for services and one of them was a Brazilian. I believe that a different type of wax should be used to do Brazilian bc I left with hair. I know u aren't suppose to go over your skin with wax more than twice but there should be no reason why a service should be half done. I left with wax and hair and even tho I brought it up to the attention of the lady she turned to using twizers which by the way she pinched me twice. She was so nice but had little knowledge of doing a Brazilian. I am so upset and the fact that I paid for the full service and only received 75% of it makes me upset. I cried on my way home and the managers were not understanding and defended their employee which is understandable but whatever. Glad I don't live here permanently. read more

I am posting a new review based on my most recent experiences. I have been coming to Belle's once a month with my daughter for over a year now. In all that time I only had one negative experience and David and Sarah both heard my complaint, appreciated the feedback I gave and and handled the situation very professionally. All the staff at Belle's do great work and are friendly. We love Ti Haha and Riley Slattery and book them often because they remember us and know what we like and they make great suggestions, both very professional ladies who provide personalized service and make us feel special during our bookings. 10 out of 10 would recommend this establishment for manicures, nail art and the best pedicures in town. I was a habitual nail biter. I started getting acrylics to try and curb that habit, only to ruin my nails in the process. So I decided after talking to Jessica at this salon to do dip powder because she said it helped her grow her own nails out! And boy did they. My nails are the longest they've been in my entire life and I do not chew and bite anymore! Belle's literally saved my nails and now I am confident about them. The two techs I have had repeatedly because I liked them so much are Peyton and Jessica. I'm sad that I am moving now and have to find a new salon because they've done me so much good! It's $35 for dip, and if you go back for a soak off and put dip back on, they knock off the $5 for the soak off! They also do awesome gel nails and pedicures. DEFINITELY recommend this salon over ANY in Starkville or the surrounding areas! read more

Went in for a full set and toe paint. I messaged them prior to confirm that they can in fact do my set I was asking for to which they said that they could and recommended a certain tech. I showed them what I wanted very precisely. I showed them the design, color, length, & shape via pictures. They did not listen to what I wanted at all and did everything the way she wanted to so I called the owner and his wife redid them the following day and STILL DID NOT DO WHAT I ASKED HER TO DO!! I am highly disappointed in this shop especially for the prices they charge. I am adding the two pictures of the nails I requested and the two sets they did! I also want to add that I made it VERY CLEAR that I wanted this very specific look and they also had the exact same style on their profile just in a different color. The quality of the shape of my nail bed is very poor on both artists. This is not to bash this salon at all, I am simply giving an honest review so that people know the quality to expect. read more

This nail salon was able to fit me in short notice and did a great job in my nails. Reasonable prices for a traditional mani/pedi. Facility is pretty small but they do an excellent job maximizing the space. Make sure you schedule an appointment, they were pretty busy on a normal weekday. read more

My boyfriend and I were in town to see the amazing Colin Stough at ricks café. We were killing time and decided to get a pedicure after stumbling across the plaza that Belles nails is in. It happened to be past closing time so when I opened the door, they informed us that they were no longer open. I stepped back outside and a few seconds later Sarah came out and asked if we wanted to make an appointment. We told her we were only in town for the night and after discussing, it really quickly with David, they decided to let us come in and get pedicures. We then went on to have the best pedicures we've ever had Alongside some amazing conversation with two really sweet and kind people. We did the luxe pedicure with the paraffin wax, the sugar scrub, and the hot stone massage. They also really took some time to make sure that our feet were smooth and skin was taken care of. We will come back anytime in Starkville! 5 star service read more

Overall terrible experience. I was in the salon for 2 hours to just get dip nails and I had made an appointment ahead of time. The woman that did my nails was taking smoke breaks before and during my manicure, making my visit at least an hour longer than it should have. Not to mention, this particular woman was not presentable or dressed for the part. I also did not get what I asked for, making my manicure at least $10 more than it should have been. This place is mediocre at best. If you're getting anything other than a pedicure the experience is awful. Color selection in minimal and majority of the workers are rude. A little pricey but they always do an excellent job. Pedicures stay on for at least 1.5-2 weeks when wearing closed toed shoes. They always get all the dead skin off my feet and make them smooth. read more

From the minute you walk into the salon, Thi is the only person who will acknowledge you. The rest of the staff are extremely rude, even if you have an appointment. I was asked MULTIPLE times who I was and who my appointment was with. Whoever was scheduling appointments double booked the tech who I was scheduled with and then was rude to me over the situation when it clearly was just a scheduling error. The only reason I didn't give a 1 or 2 star review is because Thi, who has done my nails for YEARS is so incredible!! My sister in law and I made appointments for 3pm for manicures and pedicures. Everything went smoothly through our pedicures until I asked for a design on my toenail. The design was a snowflake, and not a difficult ask, but the tech acted like it was a huge inconvenience and tried to get someone else to do it. She did finally finish and the design was not bad, so we decided to stay. She then acted like she was not aware that we were getting manicures, even though we asked for them over the call, and had us sit for over 30 minutes at the dryer while we waited for someone to do our nails after she forgot to put a top coat on my toenails. She went into a backroom for those 30 minutes until another girl told her that she needed to come do nails, which my SIL and I both heard her complain about. She said she could take one of us so I walked over and she told me they had to soak off my acrylic. I asked if I could just get a fill in and she said they only have one person that does acrylic so I asked if she could do gel. She said she can only do sns dip powder, which I am allergic to. When I told her this she went into the wax room to talk to the other nail girl and my sister in law heard her talking about how she did not want to do my nails and how I wanted all these designs, even though she had not even seen the picture of what I wanted, until the other girl realized how loud she was talking and closed the door. Overall this girl was incredibly unprofessional and gave the rest of the establishment a bad name. read more

First of all, I got the worst pedi that I've ever had here. The girl couldn't even paint my nails correctly because she was so shaky. She kept having to wipe off the sides with her fingernail. My nails also looked super streaky. When she was done, she put me under the dryer, then was like, "I forgot to do your topcoat." Not cool, since I paid for the most expensive pedi that they offer. So, she just did it right there at the dryer. Secondly, it took FOREVER! I was there as soon as they opened (at 10:00) and I didn't get out of there until 12:30! Ridiculous! My pedicurist wasn't even working on anybody else. She was just talking to everybody in there, or taking personal phone calls/texts. Finally, the staff is kind of rude. Unless you're in the chair and being worked on at that moment, they ignore you completely. I won't go there again. The only reason that I didn't give them one star is because I got ONE whole cup of wine. One. With a 2+ hour $60 crappy pedi. read more

I went to Belle's & made 8 nail appointments for my bridesmaids & myself. I made them for all the same time with all different people. The owner told me they would all be started at the same time & take 45 minutes. I had a tight schedule & they knew that. We show up & the lady at the front had no idea there were appointments. Then they proceed to let a few start theirs. 5 of the 8 were just sitting there waiting. A girl had us on her appointment book & took a WALK IN 10 minutes before. We sat there for 45 minutes waiting. As we are waiting, a worker was just walking around talking to other workers AS WE SAT THERE WAITING for her to start. Then we ran out of time & had to just leave. That's when the girl wanted to do our nails. I tried to speak to a manager or owner & the manager on duty took my number to give the owner & NO ONE CALLED. So disappointing. read more

I went to Belle's for my first time today. I was excited to go because I've heard good reviews from other girls I know. I do not recommend going if you do not make an appointment. I needed my dip soaked off and I sat there for around 40 minutes with my hands soaking and no one came and checked on me. After that it felt like they were just passing me off to each other and that no one wanted to do my nails. There were workers who just disappeared in the back too. If they were too busy or understaffed I would've understood and went somewhere else instead of spending an hour and a half there. I just needed a gel manicure on my natural nails. When someone finally sat down to do my nails it had probably been an hour since I walked in. When I left my nails felt tacky like the gel had not cured properly and I had to fix the shape of my nails when I got home. I was also charged for a gel manicure but they did not push back my cuticles or do anything else that a manicure includes. I've been to many other nail salons in Starkville and they are amazing and quick compared to Belle's. read more
