If you're going for nail services it's in the back. It's dark. The chairs and footbowls are black and red and they look worn. They don't use the liners either. Also, I want to say upfront that there was a bit of a language barrier, which may have led to some confusion. I asked for a regular pedicure. When I arrived the lady tried to give me a manicure. No. Just a pedicure. I sat in the chair. She brought me the rings with the polish colors. I picked one out. It wasn't until she brought out the uv light that I realized she brought me the gel colors. I repeated--I wanted a REGULAR pedicure. Mind you, she hasn't painted anything yet. She brings back another set of rings. The colors aren't quite the same. I asked if maybe we could layer 2 colors to get the same effect as the color I originally picked. She said yes. She brought them back. I told her to try it on ONE toe to see if it would come out like we hoped. She tried to do all and I stopped her before she moved on. No--just ONE first. She looked frustrated. Oh well. It clearly made no sense to paint them all. So she waited for the bottom color to dry and painted the other color on top. (Again just on ONE test toe). I'm glad I told her to wait because it looked muddy and horrible. At this point I was like, "please get me some paper slippers and I'll get up and find a color I like". She did and I did. Again--thus far she has only painted a single test toe. I found a color and she painted the rest. I got my eyebrows done and the sign said $5 eyebrows. A different lady did them. She asked if I wanted razor or wax. I said wax. (The job wasn't great but I could fix it later) I went to pay and the total was $10 more than I expected. Apparently the eyebrows were $10 for wax instead of $5 for razor. There was no sign that said that and the lady never disclosed that. I was ticked, but $10 for wax is standard so whatever. Then where's the other extra $5? They said "oh the other lady said you made her change your nail polish 3 times." So now I'm getting charged extra for CHOOSING the color before she painted my nails??!That's insane. They kept saying that that's what she told them and she already left so there's nothing they could do. Nope! I refused to pay it. They finally agreed to let me pay the price I initially agreed to pay. I don't like the secret pricing--be upfront. And I certainly didn't like the lady trying to charge me extra for LOOKING AT different colors. That's ridiculous. Also I mentioned the language issue. I personally understand Spanish well but can't speak it very well. I heard her complaining earlier about me, but hey, I told her from the beginning that I wanted a regular pedicure. Why bring me gel colors? She was either going to try to upcharge me or deceive me because she thought I would just go along with it. I know a lot of ppl who have had it happen to them. She's mad because I was the wrong one! In the end my nails were painted a color I didn't like as much, because outside of the gel colors, their selections are poor. But my nails were done. I'll never go back there again, though.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! I just wanted a plain old manicure. The price posted online was $18. I was charged $29. It was actually $28 but I had to pay a $1 service charge for paying cash. Yes you read that correctly...I was charged for paying cash. I specifically stated twice, "Just a manicure, a plain manicure." I declined the massage because I don't like having someone rub my back while I'm getting a manicure and I don't want to have to tip everyone. I'd rather give my manicurist a big tip for taking care of me and only me. I don't mind paying $28 (or $29) for something worth it but this manicure was certainly NOT WORTH IT. I was automatically given 2 coats of clear prior to my color. Maybe that extra basecoat was $10. My regular place charges $33 for a mani AND pedi with a hot stone massage included for your legs. Worst business EVER! The manicure I received was a manicure and JUST a manicure. There was NOTHING special about it except for the OUTRAGEOUS price. A regular manicure should NOT cost $35 nor should it chip within 24 hours. I can get two longer lasting manicures for that price. The quality of their work is shameful and their pricing is despicable. I read the other reviews about the high end nail polish Belle Visage uses but that's just lies. It's nail polish for crying out loud. Same stuff in a different bottle. I actually know this because I'm a lab rat who deals with chemicals. There's nothing special about the polish or this place. I have been coming here every week for 10 years and would not go anywhere else. The environment is so peaceful and extremely clean. This nail salon/spa is run by 2 sisters and they make me feel welcome from the moment I step inside. Everyone does great manicures/pedicures and I love getting one of their signature pedicures when I have the extra time. JP and James give wonderful massages. My sister was done within 30 minutes, which was because her nail tech did not remove the old dip mani and simply put the new one on top. I'll let her write a review to tell that story... My nail tech was Lina. From the beginning, we were not on the same page with what I wanted. I am from the area but live in a different state, and I get my nail done every month using dip applied with a brush. Lina didn't believe that I had dip on my nails, but I assured her it was dip and not gel. Then she said they don't offer dip applied with brush at Amy's (this wasn't true, because half an hour later, the woman next to me was getting dip allied with brush). We agreed to just do regular dip because I didn't want to spend any more time explaining the brush situation. Lina rushed through the manicure. She was done in 45 minutes. The shape is actually fine, which is surprising, but she made one of my fingers bleed due to roughly buffing the nail at the end, and she also over drilled my nails to remove the previous manicure. She blamed one of the over-drilling situations on my previous manicurist (not possible due to the placement of the issue - it would've been the very base of my nails, practically under my cuticle during the previous manicure) but fessed up to causing the second one. I've probably had 50+ manicures in my life so far and this has never, ever happened before. This is either my second or third time coming to Amy's, and each time, I have said "never again." But I really won't be back after this.

Nancy did my nails which I was happy about since I've heard great things about her. She did my gel polish manicure along with a paraffin wax dip and it was great. The best part is I only paid $27 +tip where as somewhere else you pay anywhere from $35-$40. Nancy was very gentle and on point with her technique. The only negative I could say is that they don't conversation much with you or each other, but that's not always bad if you just want to relax. Nancy gave two great short massages and was very good at her job. It was fast and on point I arrived at 10:50 AM and was out by 11:35 AM. Probably the fastest experience I've had at a nail spa/salon.
