This place is convenient if you're a train commuter, but that's about it. Every time I've been in here it's only been because of the convenience factor. You don't get a quality mani for the price. It's the most unclean nail salon I can recall. Last time I was there, they took apart a pedicure chair to do repairs - not relaxing. Scam!!!!! This nail salon is a rip-off! The advertised 20% off under new management. I wanted clear gel polish and white tips. It shouldn't cost anything more than $45 because it's only nail polish, nothing else. She started my nails, and she was doing something I was not familiar with. I asked her if this was a new way to use gel, and she was not giving much of an explanation. She's using gel dryers, so I'm not overthinking about it. She charged me $96 and said that's the price after the 20% discount. On top of that, she charged me more money for using my credit card, $113 together. Beware of this nail salon! Uv gel was something I never asked for. Because I never knew about it. If you were confused, you should have made it clear. I mentioned I don't wear tips or fake nails multiple times. She didn't show me anything or explain the process. Let's not lie because I left a review! The price I looked at for gel was $45. I had never seen a price for $96 anywhere in your business. As a business owner, understanding what a customer wants is critical for us to return. Of course, I will leave a tip, and I didn't leave a $14 tip. It was $10 you charged additional fees for using my credit card. You just completely lied about everything and how the process happened. At this point, this business shouldn't be open, and I will look into reporting this company $96+10= $106. $96+14=110. I never left a $14 tip. Show the receipt....you charged me an extra $7 more for using my card. This was a scam!!! read more

Wish I could give it a negative star. I was in town visiting and was recommended this place. My nails are short and always have been, but never gotten such a bad nail polish work. The older Korean technician was in a rush and did not dip my nails in water even though I asked. I figured to just let her finish through the pulling of dried skin and took the pain. I decided to give this place a try with my Mother and Sister despite the mediocre reviews. We all left dissatisfied. For starters, the conditions are less than sterile. It looks like they don't clean their utensils and the ones they used had rubber bands on them holding them together. It should be standard practice to use sanitized utensils and open them in front of clients. Additionally, the woman doing my sisters nails sneezed into her hand and KEPT GOING. After this misstep she cut her nails so uneven that my sister had to actually ask her to file her nails again at which point they were too short. Her nails eventually came out well with the gel manicure but she had to actively monitor the work. Both of the women who did our manicures cut us while cutting our cuticles because they didn't use any lotion or solution while pushing them down and trimming them. My manicure was better but I was still surprised at how forward and rude the staff was. The woman who did my nails openly asked where her tip was (I always tip at least 20%) and I was so taken aback by that. Of course I tipped her but I was still surprised by the question and how it was asked, so much so that I considered not tipping at all. My Mother's pedicure experience was by far the worst of the three of us. They did such a bad job and when she was done you could see through the polish in a super uneven finish. It was amateur. She asked for a third coat and the woman responded with an attitude that she had done three coats- my Mom was there and can count. The lack of even color (or even color at all in some areas) was so bad that my Mom had to literally paint over her nails when we got home. And she did a better job. Bottom line: we all regretted coming here, and tipping in the first place. I gave this place 2 stars because they have a 25$ deal on SOME of their gel manicure colors- but be warned you get what you pay for. read more

I normally go across the street to Donna Nails (ME Time) but this time because Donna was closed I went to Metro nails. I asked them for the SAME service on my nails - UV gel - but just a polish change on my toes (due to lack of time). After a long 1.5 hrs just to get the polish removed (they would not listen to me on how to quickly remove the polish like the other spot does) - I finally got them to understand what I wanted on my nails. That is when she said it would cost me $100 JUST for the gel - NOT tips - JUST gel. Shocked I said - that I pay $51 - WITH TIP at Me Time. She proceeded to call me a liar DESPITE showing them my Venmo transactions. Just angered at this point - I asked to pay for the polish removal and JUST polish change on my foot - usually a $12-15 charge and they charged me a WHOPPING $65. NEVER AGAIN and I strongly suggest ANY other nail salon in town. read more

I just moved to Mount Kisco and this was my first visit to Metro Nails. There was only one technician there and he was doing a pedi for another client so I waited. The owner was on the phone, very loudly, trying to arrange a personal appt for herself with someone for something. It was not related to nails. While she was on the phone, she came to me, still talking loudly on the phone, and said she would start my pedi while I waited for the pedi person to finish with his client. She was clearly distracted with her conversation which continued for the few minutes that she worked on my feet. Thankfully, the pedi person finished with his client and came over to me. He was professional and quiet. So, she went back to her desk and continued to scream loudly into the phone. While he was working on my pedi, she came back and while standing over me and screaming into the phone, proceeded to do my mani. I finally asked her to delay her call until she was done with me. She said she couldn't, that she was talking to the "court" in Georgia. So if you want a mani/pedi done in a totally stressful environment, go to Metro. The work done was ok. But the atmosphere was so unrelaxing that I had a headache when I left. So I give it 3 stars which is a combination of good work under very unprofessional conditions. I will not go back. read more

This was my 1st time going to metro nails. The staff seemed nice and the lady who did my manicure was polite and did a decent job. However as I about to leave, One of the staff members very openly ask for a tip. Now I didn't really have tip money on me as I did the manicure because it's the cheapest thing I could have done at the time. I ended up giving the lady a dollar, I really did not want to give anything because I was very appalled at how rude and forward that staff member was. They made me sign a bunch of forms and waivers and took my temperature which was annoying but food precautions. Do not go here. They push you hard to upgrade your pedicure, trying to get you to spend $65 or more for a "spa" pedicure. When I agreed to just a $45 pedicure (still an upgrade from the basic), I could tell that the woman was annoyed that I wasn't spending more. She stopped repeatedly to chat with the other workers, getting up and walking over to them in the middle of my pedicure (the place was empty, this was just social talk). Then, she applied only ONE coat of polish, so within two days, the polish started chipping off. Normally my pedicures last 2-3 weeks. I will never go back. read more

I am really picky about nail salons. Metro nails is friendly, good service and it doesn't smell like chemicals in there. They recently did a redesign of the space and fit more pedicure chairs. They also created mani/spa pedicure packages that are more affordable and great for a gift. They are my weekly stop and I highly recommend! read more

They're a dime a dozen but what sets this place apart is the one week test...what is that you ask? If one week after my manicure my nails haven't chipped, I'm all for that! and I'm NOT talking about gel manicures either. Normally I go and never have a problem. I love Hanna and the rest of the staff. I went this past Sunday and it was awful! A new guy did my nails. He was young and a bit chunky, they said he only worked Sundays. I'm not sure of his name. I will go back but RUN in the opposite direction if they put me in a chair with him! First off, I have a strawberry birth mark on the side of my big toe. I felt lots of rubbing with the polish remover and noticed he was rubbing my birthmark! I guess he thought it was polish! Then, both of my pinkie to nails are split yet he kept trying to cut part of it off like it was a cuticle! When it came time for my legs to be exfoliated, he put the stuff on, never rubbed my legs and just rinsed it off! As for my manicure, I still had small lines of polish left in the sides of my nails before he went to put the new polish on. I also pointed out that there was still oil on my nails and the polish wouldn't stick. I wanted him to go over them again and he seemed annoyed! He also didn't clean under my nails, then he went to go paint them (I use the weekly polish) he didn't use a base coat. I called him out on it and he said there was no base coat for that! I told him there was and again, he was annoyed! FINALLY Hanna had to come finish bc I had enough! I'm giving it three stars bc of the other positive experiences I've had there!
